A lovely walk through tropical forest and a chance to see Green monkeys.
Dec 2019
A nice place to take a cool walk through the tropical forest to get a feel of the diverse vegetation. The Green monkeys are entertaining too!

Wonderful Plants, Trees and Monkeys
Dec 2019
We stopped here as part of another tour and we were not disappointed. The plants and trees are amazing! Our guide was Ashon and we really enjoyed him sharing his knowledge and passion for this amazing forest. We were able to seeing the monkeys because we were there during their feeding time. We highly recommend this activity. Be sure to ask for Ashon :)

Four stars for the monkey feeding. Take a star off if you miss it.
Plants and Trees aren't really my thing, we mainly came here for the monkey feeding which is between 10:30 and midday.

The walk was pleasant enough, though you have to be careful not to squish the millipedes and snails that often cover the path

There's plenty of ducks, chickens etc roaming around and you can buy bird feed for $2 bbd, it's quite amusing to feed them.

The monkeys were the highlight though. They pretty much ignore you but it's great to watch them feed and play.

A walk in the forest
Aug 2019
Interesting place. Enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. The trees and plants are numbered and the guide map explains what they are. Lovely and cool to escape the heat of the day. Unfortunately we did not see any monkeys. Do climb the steps at the entrance to see a stunning view of the island.

Breathtaking view of the island and interesting hike
Aug 2019
If you want to see monkeys - make sure you visit during monkey feeding time. We went in the afternoon and did not see one monkey! However, if you miss the feeding, still go. We had the pathway to ourselves and were able to stroll leisurely, take photos and spend time reading the guidebook of the flora and fauna. Don't miss climbing the stairs at the entrance - you will see a phenomenal panoramic view of the island's rolling hills with the Atlantic ocean in the distance. Beyond that, nestled in the shady jungle, is a park with a tarzan rope and a little zip-line which our kids thoroughly enjoyed. Then we set off through the gully. Beautiful! Be careful not to step on the millipedes and slugs! And watch where you sit! Red ants on the picnic table bench stung my daughter's legs when she sat! Two hours here will give you plenty of time to enjoy what the gully has to offer.

OK... But nothing more
The Gully is beautiful, no doubt. But dont expect too much. The entry tickets are way way too expensive!! We didn't see any monkeys. Lots of the numbers identifying the different trees were missing.

Spectacular view, lush forest and monkeys!
Welchman Hall Gully is a really great place to visit. Right near the entrance is steps leading up to a viewpoint that has an amazing view of the east coast. The walk through the gully is interesting and a fun experience, but the highlight is the wild Green Monkeys that call this place home. Make sure you get there around 10:30 for feeding time!

Excellent Find
May 2019 • Couples
It was a bit of a trek to find, but worth it. There is a single path the goes through the gully and it is sunken. Loads of lovely trees and plants and look out for the monkeys who keep themselves to themselves. Worth a visit and i will return next year.

Walk in rainforest
May 2019 • Family
Wife and 4 year old loved it here. Millipedes fascinated our lad as he'd just been covering insects at school and there were loads all over the place. We were lucky enough to see a group of monkeys pass right in front of us (got some great pics). Play area at start which was fun and loads of exotic flora along the hour or so round trip walk.
