This was the best layover tour my family has ever had! Tony was awesome! We have a 8 and 4 year old so we opted for the the private car. (His BMW is NICE!) It was a better choice do to the fact we where coming back for our vacation and were tired. Tony took every consideration for us and made the tour easy. We felt like true VIPs. We just sat back and relaxed. When we got out to see the sights, Tony was right there to show and tell us about anything. It was really like having a good friend show you around his home town. We are absolutely looking for to coming back and doing another tour with Travel Assist Japan. 100% worth it!

First off. Amazing trip. The downside? we have to come back. So much more to see. The upside? I know who to call for my next trip. I would call upon Tony and Tracy in a heartbeat without hesitation. Having a local, knowledgeable guide is key and they delivered. Warning. It is VERY hot in July, perhaps choose a month with milder temperatures!

The ride from Tokyo was so comfortable! We stopped at many “off the beaten path” locations and views to see the beautiful Hakone region that we wouldn’t have seen or reached by bus or rail. The clouds were not kind to us and only had glimpses of Mt. Fuji, but we had many opportunities from different vantage points. Overall great experience and would recommend this trip with Tony.

We had the most amazing family vacation in Japan! The Travel Assist Japan (TAJ) team (Tony, Fumi, and Yoshiko) were so helpful all throughout from planning and personalizing tours. We arranged several tours in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Mt. Fuji, and they were all great! We were impressed with the level of organization, knowledge, flexibility, and authentic interest in ensuring we have the best experience possible during our trip and visit in Japan. We will certainly reach out to the TAJ team again!

Tony was great! We enjoyed our day thoroughly. He was very flexible and helped us navigate around a rainy day and see beautiful sights!

The 8 hour we spent with Tony were the best. We saw so many sights. The fish market with lunch upstairs was a real treat. Learning about the difference between shrines & temples was informing.

I went on two tours with Travel Assist Japan. Both such different experiences but equally excellent. Day 1 with Fumi exploring everything Tokyo. I learnt so much and loved the day. The tea ceremony was a highlight. Fumi was so knowledgeable and kind. She has a great sense of humour too which made the day so fun. Day 2 I went with Tony to Nikko. From pick up to drop off the day was full of wow moments. Tony took us to many special places where tour buses can’t go. Often we had the place to ourselves which made it even more special. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Being customised you decide on what you want to do at a pace you’re comfortable with. I sum up how special these days were by saying Ichi-go ichi-e (一期一会). Thank you Fumi and Tony.

Our 6-hour layover tour was with Tony, a private driver, it was great. Tony took us to major sites such as Asakusa Temple, Tokyo Skytree, Ginza, and Shibuya Crossing. He was very knowledgeable about every site and Tokyo in general. We also had an authentic ramen dinner. He also took many pictures of us at the sites as well. Highly recommended!

I honestly don't even know where to begin, Tony & Travel Assist Japan's Haneda Layover Tour was an extraordinary experience. Beginning with our original communications via email, everything was impeccable, flexible and easy. After booking, we had to tweak the timing of our tour and drop-off location due to the airline changing our flights and Tony was beyond accommodating. THE TOUR! It was absolutely everything we could have ever dreamed of and more. On a work trip to Singapore, we ended up having one day in Tokyo. An absolute bucket list location for my husband and myself. Tony gave us the most incredible private tour of his gorgeous city. From the early morning airport pick-up in his extremely comfortable luxury vehicle, we were off to the absolutely brilliant Tsukiji Fish Market (a true insiders tour away from the trendy tourist sections), a phenomenal hole-in-the-wall ramen lunch we still talk about, Takeshita Street, Asakusa sensor ji temple, Shibuya crossing... the list goes on. He took us EVERYWHERE. Tony was amazing, informative, kind, patient - his tour was EXTRAORDINARY. Again, it was everything we were hoping for and more. We cannot recommend Tony and Travel Assist Japan highly enough. If we are ever fortunate to go back to Japan, Tony will be our first booking. Thank you for everything Tony. The entire day was a dream come true. We will never forget it!

Great layover tour with Tony. Amazing view of Tokyo at night from the Government building. We truly enjoyed the temple tour as well as the local cuisine. Looking forward to another trip!

Combined tour with a transfer between airports. Worked out fabulously! Got a quick overview tour of Tokyo, had a great meal, and a smooth, quality transfer between airports. Exactly what we wanted!

Our guide, Fumi, prepared a great itinerary for us on short notice. She gave us detailed information on what to expect upon arriving at Haneda Airport, met us conveniently at the arrival information counter, and then took us out to explore the city. Fumi not only showed us some beautiful and interesting sights, but also explained everything we were seeing in excellent English. She also engaged us in discussions on Japanese culture, history, food, and language. We feel we learned a lot in the six hours we were able to be together. Fumi also took every opportunity to take photos of us and then send them to us at the end of the tour. We highly recommend the TAJ tour of Tokyo and especially Fumi as a guide!
