The visit and the information provided were really interesting. The guide was really friendly and really intereacted and took care of the visitors.

Toru was a fantastic host. He gave us a great overview of the past and present, all wrapped up with lots of fun, interesting info and photos. A fun small group of us listened, laughed, ate and drank our way around the old and new gaybourhood. Arigatou Gozaimasu Toru.

Even though we were jet lagged, Toru brought the energy and was an incredible guide. We hit all the hotspots with some history, some laughter, and lots of “picture time!” Dinner was delicious, the drinks were strong, and the company was the best. 100/10!

This tour was a highlight of my stay in Tokyo - fun, fascinating and delicious! I never would have explored the areas we visited on my own.

First night in Tokyo and what a welcome to the city. Great insight from our guide Andrew from the history of Japan, personal stories and of course sampling some of the local food as well as saki! For someone new to Japan and with a hunger to get away from the tourist traps and understand the local culture I can not recommend higher! Great intro, great food, great experience

I took many day tours during my visit to Japan and Cecilia is the absolute best guide. This tour covered historical sites, traditions, cultural insight, sampling of local bar food, and vibrant night scene. My other tours were interesting, but this one delved deeper in explaining the customs and culture which became alive with Cecelia's life experience and stories. After touring the area you aren't shuttled into the same place that everyone visits and actually get to pick which bar you want to visit. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, and a special thanks to Cecelia for her warm and personable guidance.

We had a great time discovering an area called Oimachi where we really were the only tourists. Lukas was super knowledgable and insightful about the culture and customs in Tokyo and Japan and took us to great places that we would never have found or ventured into ourselves. He also was great company.

We had a fantastic tour with Andrew! We got to explore parts of Tokyo that we never would've gone to on our own and eat at small izakayas we never would've found on our own. If you want to get outside of the touristy areas of Tokyo and explore like a local while learning a lot about Japanese culture, I highly recommend this tour.

Very well organized, informative, and declious. The stops all featured solid food and drink options, and our tour guide Andrew was helpful and highly knowledgeable. We really enjoyed exploring a neighborhood we otherwise wouldn't have travelled to ourselves. Would definititely recommend!

Honestly this was the most fun experience we had in the 7 days we were in Tokyo! Our guide Andrew was so awesome and taught us so much! It was very cool to see a part of Tokyo that most tourists don’t visit and also interact with the locals who were all very kind and friendly. Would highly recommend this experience!

Signed up for this tour and was very much looking forward to it. After four emails confirming the booking and giving detailed directions to the meeting point, we showed up at proper spot. Recieved a text from the guide stating he was at the point too. Problem was, he was in Kyoto, hundeds of miles away. Somehow I was assigned to a tour in Kyoto. When the tour company figured our what happened. They offered a curt apology and a refund. So, left stranded in an unfamiliar part of Tokyo and hungry, we started walking through the tiny streets and back alleys just next to the Oimachi Station. There are literally hundreds of small eating and drinking establishments in the few blocks surrounding the station. It's easy to step into them even if you don't speak Japanese. They will be happy to have foreigners in their place. Many have picture menus to make ordering easy. And of course, beeru is the word for beer. A tour guide is not needed for this experience!!!

My tour guide Andrews was great. He was fun to talk to and really knew the history of Japan. He took me to spots where the locals go and not to any tourist trap.

We just finished our LGBTQ+ tour last night with Lukas. We are glad to have booked it! We were able to see a lot of unique and out of the way places in the Tokyo area (Asakusa and Shinjuku) that would have been hard to know about without someone who knows the area.
