We thoroughly enjoy the tour, the guide was excellent and the food brilliant. My wife is a pescatarian and was well catered for. Completely full up by the time we reached the ice cream!

Eat A Light Breakfast
This food tour isn’t tiny samples. Don’t have a big breakfast like we did. You will regret it. Janelle was knowledgeable of Barbados history and so pleasant. Wear comfortable shoes and bring sunscreen. I would do this tour again.

Must Do!
This was the best part of my visit to Barbados. Do this early I’m your stay so you can go back to some of the restaurants. Don’t eat breakfast!

Janelle was our tour guide and she talked about so much history of Barbados while tasting food along the way. We stopped at many places and was full by the end. We had pork as d breadfruit from Tim’s. (We went back here the next day for Macaroni Pie and Fried Fish). We stopped at a street vendor for fish cakes. A bakery (Crumbz) and had a pastry with beef. I also bought some snacks for later. We went to a market and had Sorrel along with sliced Mango. Then tried some Ackee fruit (not the Jamaican kind). We then had fried flying fish, cou cou, rice and peas, and Maury from another place and finished with vegan ice cream made with coconut milk from a chocolate factory. It’s about $100 US per person with transportation but it was worth it!

After eating hotel food for a few days this was a TREAT! We loved the local cuisine.

Perfect way to eat your way through Bridgetown!
Jun 2021
We thoroughly enjoyed our food and history tour of Bridgetown with Janelle! As one of the first things we did on our vacation, this tour gave us a wonderful primer on the history, culture, and food of Barbados. Each stop was unique and delicious. We sampled pudding and souse, fishcakes, hibiscus juice, pastries, fruit, coucou, and topped it all off with some ice cream. Walking around the streets and markets of Bridgetown provided the perfect ambiance for enjoying our food as well as getting to know the city. Highly recommend!

History in the making..with food!
It was a lovely day, Janelle met us with a smile and welcome! The pace of the tour was on point, no need to rush, we are in Barbados🙂. The food choices were from some of the best known in Bridgetown. There were 4 food stops on our tour, a visit to local market, and main center hub for shopping. Worth the experience!

Fantatsic local authentic food
Jan 2021
Myself and a friend had a fantastic food tour in January. Janelle was a fantastic guide. It was great to learn more about Barbados and Bridgetown in particular whilst trying out lots of local food enroute. We tried lots of new food and got an idea of what food you could buy where. It would be a great idea to do this tour at the start of your trip so you can try out local Bajan food and then know what to order in future. If you want to hear more about it, I talked about it on my podcast - Life in Barbados: A Year on a Parardise Island'.

Bridgetown Food Walking Tour
Jan 2021
Great trip with Janelle, which for us was the perfect way to spend the last day of our trip. Although I would recommend doing the trip early in your holiday as you'll pick up lots of great recommendations for eating around Bridgetown, and would have been good to have taken that information and explored further. The food choices were great and the pace and frequency of the food stops were perfect. Overall a great tour and Janelle was a great host.
