        Dominica - A Natural Paradise with a Well-Educated Populace
We went on the Wooten Woven hot springs/thermal baths, Parrot Conservation and Research Centre Botanical Gardens, and scenic drive tour (Morne Bruce, the crushed school bus that had been donated by Canada prior to hurricane, etc.) for 2 hours, 45 min. on Friday, April 26, 2024 and had a WONDERFUL TIME!! Wacky Rollers are TERRIFIC!!! Patrickson Henderson was our guide on the bus and Gary was our driver, and a younger man from the southern part of the island, around Roseau, whose name unfortunately I did not catch and who did the scientific (flora, fauna, geography, hurricanes, political structure, the island's flag's design history, etc.) parts of the tour at the stops -- were all INCREDIBLE!! Our guides were full of information about the island and during the tour they stopped to pick a guava, cinnamon stick, fresh cashew, fresh cocoa bean, and other fruits, nuts, and leaves for us to smell and handle. I learned that this wild, gorgeous place has a 97% literacy rate and they have many residents (20+) living to over 100 years! The oldest living person (Ma Pampo, 128 years) lived there until 2003. The volcanic soil, lower use of pesticides, mountainous terrain, outdoor living, locally-grown produce, high education level, social connections, and slower pace of life are all super-healthy!! Bathing in hot spring mineral baths in a mountain ravine and rinsing off volcanic clay under a powerfully-flowing natural waterfall at Wooten Woven were INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCES! GO WACKY ROLLERS AND THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT EXCURSION!!

        Best Excursion Guide EVER!
Claude M was the best tour guide we’ve ever had. Our group had so much fun and it was so cool to drive through the rainforest. Waterfalls were amazing and we loved the tour. Only tip to add would be to wear water shoes to get to the falls. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

        Great tour company and guides.
This company has great equipment and wonderful guides. They work hard all over the island to share their country and their culture. Despite severe hurricane damage over the years this island nation has pulled together and offer visitors much knowledge and fun. We loved Dominica and the Wacky Rollers guides on several tours.

        Awesome half day adventure
We had booked the Middleham Falls Hike through our cruise ship and were really overwhelmed by it. We started with a scenic drive from the port to the mountains. Our guide Dominique was very knowledgeable and passionate about his island where he was borne and raised. Driver Armstrong was a great addition. The hike was about 60 minutes (quite steep uphill and involving some rocks downwards) to the waterfall (amazing!) where we could swim and our teens jumped from some rocks with Armstrong. We took the same way back so all in all it was about 2 1/4 hours in the rainforest. On the way back we stopped at a lovely local house where we were offered delicious juices, fruits (from their garden) and Carribean snacks (plantain and other chips) by the most friendly hosts. As the trip was so fantastic we decided to also visit Titou Gorge and would definitely recommend that, too.

Breathtaking island on the best tour ever!
Best travel tour or cruise excursion we’ve ever done, hands down! We did The Lost World 4x4 Waterfalls & Rainforest Adventure. Our guide was Dominic and he was fantastic. He was full of information about the island, culture, politics, local flora and fauna, you name it. We made several stops - Morne Bruce, Wotten Waven sulphur springs, and Titou Gorge. I had misunderstood the excursion description to mean that we would be able to access and take a dip in the hot springs, but once we went to Titou Gorge my disappointment faded quickly. What an amazing experience! I was apprehensive about the adventurousness of this tour because it was just me with my two daughters (11 & 9), but another family on our truck had three younger girls and they all did great. I can’t even articulate what a special experience swimming up the gorge was, and Dominic was awesome helping all of the kids (and the occasional middle aged lady) up the gorge safely. Our driver was also great and pointed out a lot of interesting plants and sights for the kids. I was sad when we got back to port! I would have happily let those two drive us around all day long and learned more about Dominica - which is one of the most beautiful islands I’ve ever experienced.

        Great Excursion!
My husband and I did this tour through Carnival and it was amazing! Patrice was the tour guide and Edgar was the driver. Our cruise was a 14-day and 8 island itinerary, and this excursion was definitely one of our favorites out of all of them! Patrice was very knowledgeable about the island and we learned so much and saw so many beautiful areas of Dominica. At the end Patrice and Edgar handed out Caribbean rum and delicious coconut bread.

Find the Real Eastern Caribbean in Dominica
The island of Dominica is unspoiled by high rise hotels and countless shops. It is a beautiful mountainous rainforest island. We went on a panoramic drive with our wonderful guide Ash. She was young, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and so proud to share her home. The Botanical Gardens were pretty even though it was winter. Wacky Rollers has tours to the mountains, hot springs and beach adventures. I recommend them and recommend you find the real Eastern Caribbean in Dominica!

        Great trip in Dominica
We did this trip from a Silversea cruise. Lloyd was our host & provided excellent commentary throughout. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of Dominica & provided lots of personal stories & plenty of humour. The swim in the waterfall was cold but fun & was only for around 15 mins. Tasty rum punch on the way home too

        Great tour and guide!!!
Berky was our guide and was delightful and informative. Some guides talk so fast you feel like you’re on a roller coaster ride, but Berky was clear and calm and open for questions. Definitely recommend this tour and company. Wayne, our driver, was also great! Don’t hesitate to sign up for this group. (We were on a Viking cruise excursion.)

        A feel of the country.
My wife and I went on this tour while cruising on Celebrity Beyond. The guide Daryl was excellent ,very knowledgeable and friendly. The driver Jude should get a medal for handling the roads. My wife and I felt this was the best excursion we took during our cruise and would love to do it again some time. After the tour I felt like I have new Friends.

        Terrific tour of lovely Domenica
One of the best tours we have done in the Caribbean- and we have been on every island except Monserrat. Burkee (sp?) our guide was funny but incredibly informative. The entire island is amazing and this is a terrific company to see it with - definitely the best!!

“Elephant” was our driver- and he was so fun! Taught us songs, showed us some local hotspots, and was a safe transport for our ride up to the river that we would be tubing. Once we arrived, the Wacky Rollers team outfitted us with tubes, helmets, life jackets and paddles, and off we went! Several guides followed us down the river assisting us - guiding us down the right side or getting us “unstuck.”
We had SO much fun- and it was definitely a highlight of the trip for several of us!

Took this tour off of the Seabourn cruise ship. Met at the dock with others and rode in an air conditioned van through the city and into the rain forest. Given a thorough history of the small villages and mountain as we headed to the two waterfalls. Driver was excellent navigating the narrow roads and we saw things that put the island in a different perspective. After the falls we went to the dryer part of the island to inter-tube a clear beautiful river with minor rapids and at a pace of roughly 3 mph. Helmets and life jackets were provided and we rode on special inter-tubes. More than adequate staff of roughly 10 people positioned themselves around the rapids to make sure everyone was safe and having a good time. Great way to see this amazing island and interact with its beautiful people on a short day.

If you are tall or a bigger person, I would not recommend. I am both and the combination of the tubes and the guys running it caused a number of issues. They send you off by pushing you backwards. All your weight goes first and you end up flipping over. I bounced on my head twice and then rolled over rocks for about 20 feet before someone finally helped.

I flipped over one more time when they pushed my backwards. I told them not to push that way with all of the weight forwards, but he ignored me and same thing happened.

The last half of a mile was not rapids at all, to they had to swim and push us. Not quite what we expected.

Dear RedRai ... We are sorry to hear that the river tubing did not meet your expectations and we hope you are okay. We would love to hear from you with more details regarding your river tubing experience. There is a possibility that you were not on our tour however, we can only determine that conclusively with more information from you. We do seat you securely on the tube for balance, you are turned to face the river flow and released in the direction of the river flow. Safety is our priority so we have ample guides to ensure a fun but safe trip downstream. We also have special tubes for big and tall people and extra tubes are floated downstream in the event of need. Flipping is possible but I can assure you that if you flipped once, corrective action is taken immediately such as changing the tube or assigning a guide to remain close by. So multiple flips are highly unlikely and so too is floating 20 feet over rocks without assistance because of the number of guides strategically positioned on the river. There is the rare occasion to the end where it may be necessary to push tubes to the exit point due to high winds and rough seas that send the current in the opposite direction. If this is not done the tubes will float back up the river to a point. If this did actually occur on your day please note that this is unusual and beyond our control.

We have done this excursion twice in Feb 23 and March 23 from a cruise ship. We actually booked the cruise through the cruise ship so we paid a little more. The river tubing is a ton of fun and the gentleman that go down the river with you work hard to make sure you ahve a great time. The tubes are big and comfortable and depending on the amt of rain the river has a lot of fun rapids but also some smooth and gentle places to just enjoy the beautiful scenery. If you get stuck one of the wacky rollers crew is right there to help you get started again. I accidentally capsized and had 3 wacky roller crew immediately come to my rescue and get me back floating again.
They all work hard to make sure you ahve a great trip.
The only suggestion I would make to the Wacky Rollers guys it to be more vocal about asking for a tip at the end. Most people aren't carrying cash or thinking about a tip and don't notice the tip basket that gets passed around at the end. If you do this tour please give the guys a little something at the end. Again they work hard and the extra tips go a long way for them.

More like creek tubing with men pushing you over rocks. The drive to tubing is long, winding and there are many road hazards with washouts requiring single lane. While the men helping us "tube" were wonderful, there were just inches of water, to try to tube down. They were backed up and there were probably 60+ people in our group.

Dear 697shanat We are sorry that you did not enjoy your river tubing experience in Dominica but in reading your review it is clear that you were definitely NOT on Wacky Rollers River Tubing, and I would urge you to issue an apology for the records as many have already read this. I also do not think that the actual excursion you were on is offered by Viator, so why is it being reviewed on Viator. Your review should be directed to the line you purchased from. First clue, the lengthy drive you mentioned does not align with our location, as we are only a 30-minute, mostly coastal drive away. The winding road you described is associated with another operator. Secondly, please note that we prioritize guest satisfaction and never host groups as large as 60 people, again that is definitely the other, cruise line favoured operator. Additionally we are located on Dominica's longest and largest river so you would not have any reason to refer to it as "creek tubing". The next time you are visiting Dominica, please book on Viator and please join us for a fun filled adventure in nature ... Wacky Rollers ☺️

Organised excursion, took a short mini bus ride to the Roseau Valley. Where we were met by the Wacky Rollers team. We were issued with helmets, safety vests ( all checked by the team before we entered the water) then they gave us a paddle and our rubber ring. The scenery was beautiful. We travelled for approx 8 miles down river to met our mini bus. We had a very strong rum punch or a soft drink, chance to dry off , there were toilets and changing rooms and them taken back to the port. Highly recommend this excursion. The team were great. Singing songs , lots of team involvement. Our group was mixed ages. There was a guide assigned to the young children in our group, and they looked after the children extremely well. Water was crystal clear and not too cold. Definitely do this again. Give it a go.

The Whacky Rollers team provided a safety presentation after we put on our helmets and life vests. We were also given a paddle to help push off any rocks we encountered. The team was extremely helpful in making sure we were all safe and didn’t get left behind. They all worked very hard. I got ejected from my tube and two team members came to my aid. There was rum bunch waiting for us at the end. I would do this tour again!

Staff is super professional, well trained, attentive... I could not say enough!
They are amazing and act super fast when they have to, they made our day!
The view is nice during most of the time, we ended close to a construction, not such nice view, but nothing to complain about. Still the best tour in Dominica!

Our excellent and educational tour guide was Judith and the first stop was the beautiful morne trois pitons national park. An easy walk through the rainforest to a waterfall. Next they drove us to a river where we were outfitted with helmuts, life jackets, paddles and tubes for a fun raft down a river. The young guides were extra cautious but we still hit some rapids and enjoyed being surrounded by nature. Kimon was extra helpful and we had a fun chat with him about his name.
