      Exceptional Service
The folks at Waitukubuli were incredibly friendly and considerate! They went out of their way to help us with transportation on short notice. We appreciated their customer service and their efforts to make sure all of the guests were comfortable and safe when a sudden storm interrupted our whale watching adventure.

Highly recommended especially if visiting while on a cruise!
This was a day filled with fun and adventure! Our guide was Hubert and he met us at the cruise port with a smile. At champagne reef, two additional guides joined us to be sure the group was safe and well informed. We were offered multiple drinks along the tour. The three guides stayed with us throughout the tour using a second car. The lunch was a delicious hot empanada style wrap. Titou Gorge was worth the trip alone! There are several sets of steps to see the waterfalls, but if I can make it, almost anyone can.

      Very bad
The rain started and ofcourse we couldn’t find any whales but the problem is that the captain stood so much in the rain and lost precious time. The weather went worse and the experience went bad . They don’t have trained stuff and they don’t know how to act in such a difficult situation.

      THE MOST INCREDIBLE TOUR!
THE MOST INCREDIBLE TOUR! I loved this day and will keep it as one of my Top memories on my cruise contract. We loved how efficient Tiffany was at our meeting point and our Captain Jeff was just so much fun. He took us on a snorkel adventure showing us aqua life and the incredible champagne reef ( active volcano). The day was shared with incredible friends, 2 reef snorkel spots and finishing with a volcano natural hot tub. PERFECT DAY and I would recommend this tour in a heart beat!

      A morning well spent
Really kind staff and company. Lennard really helped me get through the difficult parts of the hike. It shan’t take you more than 2 hours (return) with middleham falls, especially as we spent some time in the waterfall. It’s truly beautiful Titou gorge was also an experience ! I can’t swim and so I paddled with a doughnut and that was absolutely fine

      Waitukubuli Tours is the best!
We actually did two full days with Lennard who was amazing! We stayed in Marigot so our tours both included the pickup and drop-off at our hotel which the company added for a very fair price. We visited several waterfalls including the hike to Middleham on the first day and then went to Cabrits National Park, the Indian River and the chocolate factory on day two. Lennard was super knowledgeable and friendly and really helped on our hike which was a bit challenging following lots of rain the week prior to our visit.

$2650 swim with sperm-whales is a fraud, avoid at all costs
NOTE: I have collected all the text screenshots, emails, vocal text that Mr. Winston sent me for legal review and the American Express team agreed to open a credit card dispute on my behalf, which I won give the extensive proofs on my behalf hence I luckily got my money back. Two days before the tour, the owner (Hubert Winston) sent me a vocal text to let me know 'our vessels are down…we're missing a part for it (to fix the vessel).. it won't be here on Monday on time, so I'm using a substitute vessel'. I got the doubt that this new vessel might not have the 'special equipment' (which they advertise to have) to track whales, but the owner called me and reassured it will be in place (I asked whether safer to reschedule the tour since both vessels were broken but he said no all good). He also told me he would not join the tour, it would just be me, the captain and swim guide (no other clients). On the tour day, as I stepped on the boat the captain let me know they didn't have the equipment to track the sperm-whales as it was broken and we had to wait for a new one to come. I asked for the tour to be rescheduled since they didn't have the right boat AND the right equipment in place and this is covered in their policy, but they said new equipment was on the way. We stayed close to the dock waiting for the equipment however this never came. I took several pictures while waiting for this equipment to come, all with time stamps to prove we were stuck at sea right on front of my hotel. We got the special equipment after 11 am, we asked another boat (which was running a whale watching tour scheduled to finish a few minutes after 11 am - please note this is very different from my tour as they look for any whale and let tourists watch the animals from the boat; my tour was specifically a sperm-whale tour) to lend their to us. By now we had already wasted 2.5 hrs of the tour without equipment. As I thought we could finally start the tour, soon enough the boat engine broke and the tour was stopped for 1+ more hours while the captain was trying to fix it. The engine could not be fixed and we called a rescue boat. I was brought back on land timely for the end of the tour despite the 2.5 hrs wasted without having any equipment to track down the whales, the 1+ hr spent trying to fix the broken engine and the return trip with the rescue boat. While traveling back on the second boat, a beam that keeps the canopy in place fell down hard missing my head by chance. As the guide put the beam back in place I noticed the screws of the beam were missing, the boat was in terrible conditions. As I am an engineering myself, I checked the other beams hanging over my head and guess what? Also the other screws were not in place. The sea was bumpy and we went as fast as possible as, despite the time wasted, we still had to be back on time - I got bad bruises all over my legs as there was nothing to hold on to. Despite all the above, the owner refused to admit that he should refund the trip as per his policy (which include break downs, I have his own emails with the policy to be shared if needed to prove it). He claims the following: 1. 'The captain went far trying to search for whales beyond the normal reach and therefore we run out of fuel'. A few points on this: a. My captain claimed to have 10 years of experience and clearly stated the engine was broken (I trust a men with such experience can distinguish between a broken engine or a lack of fuel). Looks like Hubert is insulting his own captain b. A rescue boat came to save us, not to give us more fuel. This because the engine was broken c. It is illegal to travel 'beyond reach' as he stated in his message. This activity is carried out in a whale sanctuary and swimming with whales is highly regulated, hence it is not allowed to go 'beyond reach'. 2. 'We had 2 boats out plus yours for a total of 3 boats' - please note the owner previously told me I was the only client for the day.. As a matter of fact we didn't see any other boat at sea (apart from the one who was doing whale watching for a different tour company and left at 11ish am as per above). If the owner had other boats doing the same tour, why was I alone on my boat and not added to the others (which he claims had the special equipment to track whales?) ? Why did Hubert previously claim I was the only client for the day and now suddenly contradict himself? The day after he texted: 'With so many boats searching, do you really think a dedicated hydrophone would have brought us luck!?' - he basically admitted that we had no equipment to track whales (i.e., the hydrophone, this is the technical name of the equipment). I have saved pictures of the text exchange to prove this. He used the fact that 'other boats' did not find any whales as an excuse to avoid exercising the refund policy: his point is that, even if the boat didn't break and had the special equipment in place, there would have been no whale in the water anyway hence I would have lost my money anyway. The day after he even texted me 'we saw a lot of whales today' - did he think he was funny after all that happened? He stole $2650 of my money, had no equipment to track whales, put me on a boat with broken engine, put me at risk of badly injuring my head (he made jokes of this too, saying I should thank God I am still alive, I have saved screenshots of his text again). Is this a serious business? All the above doesn't even consider what happened before the tour. Let me give you an overview 1. Tour departure time: Hubert asked me my preferred departure times 4 times ahead of the tour, I kept confirming the same time just to find out the day before the tour that this had been changed again. I wonder if he kept pushing back the start time because he never had any equipment to track whales and always planned to lend it from another boat - after all that happened this is frankly a legit question. 2. Pickup location: On 11/13 he told me pickup is at the hotel dock, for which they will ask permission. 1/31 he instead said they don't do dock pickup and we meet at the Museum. On 2/8 he again changed and said at the dock. 3. Deposit and full payment: I paid $1200 the deposit in Nov and asked when I should pay the rest. On 11/9 Mr Hubert says 'the balance is due anytime from now and before activity date' (2/19). On 2/4 he emails again and says 'if this balance isn't paid by Tuesday 6th, we might be forced to cancel your activity'. 4. Gears: 11/13 I was told 'we do have shorty wet suits and snorkel gear for rental if needed'. 1/31 I was told it was complimentary. Had to chase on the phone again to get a consistent answer With all the above confusing communication I started fearing this was nothing but a scam. I have been on several expensive snorkeling / diving trips with giant mantas/hammerhead sharks/tiger sharks/whale sharks etc. (and I know well that you have a higher chance of seeing marine mammals early in the morning which is why I selected a 6am departure time as offered on the website). This was the poorest organization I had even seen. I also bought round trip transportation (airport-hotel) from Hubert. He let me know one of his people would be there waiting for me as soon as a land with my name on a sign. He also said the taxi dispatcher would have been informed and had my name. I landed timely and nobody was waiting with my name on a sign. The taxi dispatcher had NO reservation under my name (I triple checked with them). I launched international roaming ($$$) to call Mr Hubert who didn't pick up nor texted back until hours later. The taxi dispatcher managed to find out the driver was still enroute and I had to wait. Driver arrived at 10.40am and was very sorry for the delay (at least the driver was sorry, given Hubert denied this ever happened) Hubert insulted me in several ways through text after I called out all the above • 'I know you get nervous very fast but you really need to relax a bit, life is too short' ---- he drove me crazy by having to chase him with email answered, information changing every day, broken vessels, missing driver, missing hydrophone, broken engine etc. and then he tells me I get nervous easily? • 'I am working on another opportunity for you to swim, I will update you' ---- he obviously never came back to me with this, just one more lie • 'We are reliable! Your flight was late!' ---- sure.. Your driver didn't think the same (nor the taxi dispatcher nor my airline) • 'Not very often we do not see whales, so I am not used to your level of frustration' ---- The swim guide told me they hadn't seen whales in days…and also added this happened already in the past • 'did you thank god because a canopy was not in harm's way and far away from you?' ------ the beam was in metal and missed my head by luck… and yet he is ironic about it. Not really a smart thing to write • He sent me a vocal text saying 'you exaggerate everything 150%'.....'I was there and I saw you taking off the dock on time' (didn't he say he was busy and couldn't be there, see above? Now instead he says he was there 'looking at us', sure) Please note the crew (captain + guide) and driver recognized all my points above. Mr Hubert is the only one who kept denying the facts in an attempt to save his face. One more note: the swim guide disclosed to me that 1 day permits for swimming with whales do not even exist… so what happens here is that Mr Hubert purchases 1-week permits and then resell them to multiple people, making huge money out of it (again, this is what the swim guide told me - not something that comes from me, I am just reporting what I have been told). It doesn't look like any other company on the island uses this practice, so I guess I could have questioned this tour earlier.. The tour is also not available on Tripadvisor anymore, this speaks by itself… In his last vocal message (which I also saved for reporting purposes) Mr Hubert said 'he knew from the beginning I was troubles, blaming me for everything instead of recognizing his lack of management skills (and honesty). I find this extremely insulting - yes, I am a young solo traveling woman and I always push myself to be kind and polite, but this doesn't mean he can insult me, bully me, steal my money and expect me to say nothing about it. For my return trip to the airport, Hubert changed my pickup from 6.45 am to 5 am as he wanted to get rid of me. He told me to chat directly with the driver if I had issues. Driver was not on whatsapp so I activated my roaming (again) but realized my message would not go through as probably the driver had no international phone plan. I pinged Mr Hubert again.. He told me the driver 'is local, doesn't need international phone plan. He is your taxi driver REMEMBER'. Great so if he already knew this driver didn't have a phone able to receive my messages, WHY DID HE TELL ME TO REACH OUT TO HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE? If he already knew why did he waste (again) my money and time and didn't arrange the pickup himself as it was his job to do (I paid him tons of money to organize my activities)? Guess what - a few hours later he sent me another phone number and still told me to arrange my pickup alone. What a childish, irresponsible behavior as a company owner. Because I pointed out his mistakes and he could not defend himself he had to retaliate back like that. I decided to go ahead with the 5 am pickup as I was so done with him. Guess what? The driver picked me up but also let me know we had ANOTHER passenger to pick up - wasn't this a private transfer? Why did I pay full time if another person shared my same trip to the airport?. As we got to the airport the other passenger just went away and the driver asked me to pay - I had already paid for this return trip more than a month in advance and was shocked. Not only Hubert refused to organize a pickup at a decent time, refused to talk to the driver himself and had me waste money on international roaming just to find out the driver had no whatsapp, sold me private transfer that was actually shared (and paid by ME) but he even failed to communicate the driver this was a prepaid transfer. This is the lowest level of service I have seen in 10 years of diving and snorkeling. Mr Hubert called me liar, nervous, sweating the small stuff, a trouble maker. He even said my life is 'too boring' LOL - he clearly doesn't know who I am. The reason it took me so long to post this review is infact because I am too busy: I am Vice President at the biggest credit card company in the world, I have a family, I have traveled more than 100 countries in the world, I have swam the depth of the ocean and climbed mountains. My life is far from 'boring', and taking the time to write this review was really annoying but I don't appreciated being insulted hence made time in my busy schedule for it. Mr Hubert will surely reply to here and come up with more lies and excuses… like I am trouble not him, I am a liar, my flight was late, the taxi driver was there at the airport before me she was 'just' circling around, the captain was out of fuel cause he was working so hard for me etc. surely he doesn't lack creativity. I checked reviews online and what happened to me is not unrecurring. All the negative reviews are usually answered in a very defensive and arrogant way. Unfortunately for him I have all screenshots, emails and pictures of all the above, with time stamps etc. my life is far from 'boring' and will likely not even come back to read the answers to my review (this tour wasted enough of my time already). Note that I have submitted all the screenshots, emails, even Mr Hubert Vocal messages where he insults me to the Amercan Express legal team who, after reviewing my case, agreed that I was badly scammed and opened a charge back on my behalf which I ended up winning.

Dominica - Trafalgar Falls and Botanical Gardens
We booked an excursion on a cruise ship for the Botanical Gardens, Trafalgar Falls, and Morne Bruce. with Whitechurch Tours. Our tour guide was Andrina Franklyn. She was very informative and provided a great tour. The tour took us through the city of Roseau, up to Morne Bruce where we had a great view of the city. Next we went to the Botanical Gardens next. It was okay. The best thing for us was the photo of the Botanical Gardens after the 1979 storm. The drive to Trafalgar Falls was great as we drove through the rainforest. The view of the Falls was great. Many thanks to Andrina for her explanations and descriptions of many things.

      Saintes Trip with the Boys!
Hubert made the trip extremely fun and easy. All we had to do was show up and all the paperwork was handled. The boat was extremely comfortable and we got over to the saintes in less than two hours from the south of Dominica. I'd recommend anyone to do this trip as it is a fun way to have a quaint european experience in the middle of the Caribbean. Captain Jeff is also hilarious and I'd personally ask for him to be the captain whenever we return.

The captain was great and took us to the best snorkeling spots. They picked us up at the dock of our resort and were right on time. We went to several different spots and each was better than the one before! Captain Hubert knows his way around the island and is knowledgeable about Dominica. The first mate was also fantastic and very helpful. They provided bottled water, drinks, and beer as well as some snacks. Lunch was also provided from a local restaurant. We had really good weather and visibility. Fun day on the water!

Great itinerary covering the east side of Dominica on the water. Captain Jeff was extremely knowledgeable of the area. We saw some shockingly beautiful Moray eels at Champagne Reef. Enjoyed an excellent ocean side lunch at Indee's on Mero beach. Jeff was very focused on us having a good time and it was a blast!
