Definitely recommend this excursion! We were on a cruise that stopped at the Taino Bay Port in Puerta Plata, DR for the day. I purchased through Trip Advisor and not the cruise line because it was twice the price through them. The guys picked us up right outside the port (about a 10 minute walk). The drive was approximately 30 minutes to the falls, all on paved roads. They did have us leave all our stuff (bags/towels/phones) in their van which I was a little uneasy about at first but our photographer was accompanying us the whole time and the driver locked it up. We then grabbed life vests and helmets and joined another group since there were only two of us and started the hike up to the falls. There we met Gabriel and two other gentlemen that were guiding us through the falls. Wear water shoes or sandals with thick soles! They gave us all a bottle of water and had us take breaks along the way. There were inclines, some rocky terrain, and wooden stairs (up & down) but it was a manageable hike for everyone. We even saw some cows along the hike! Werbe was our "shooter" that hiked along with us and took pictures along the way. We reached the falls and took a ladder down into the water. The water was so refreshing since we had been hiking for the last 30ish minutes. We then walked/swam through the water. There were a couple that you had to swim through b/c they were too deep to walk, but the life vest kept our heads afloat. None of the areas were fully submerged where you had to swim under water. The deeper ponds you could slide or jump into. The whole time Werbe was getting through the water with a camera and getting shots of us through out, I really appreciated that because I don't know how we were going to get pictures while doing this. It took about 45 minutes to get through the falls, the wait times to slide/jump were minimal because they did a good job of keeping the groups small. I would have loved to stay in the water a little longer but they gathered us up after everyone jumped into the last pond to start walking back. The walk back was easier than going up but they didn't give us anymore water. Luckily the waterfalls had cooled us off! We returned to base where we were led to the fresh hot buffet of food for lunch (this was included in the cost!). There was chicken, beef, rice/beans, fries, salad and pasta available. Werbe also had a cooler with water & sodas for us. We ate, and I had a nice little island cat friend hang out by my chair begging for food lol I was giving it chicken so that was my fault it hung around. We then had to head back to the port so we were driven back in the van to the same area where we were picked up outside the port. I paid an extra fee for Werbe to send the pictures and videos digitally through e-mail that I received just a few hours later. He got some great shots! We were pleased with this excursion and glad we tried it! The company is trustworthy and I thought this was a great value for a 4 hour experience.

This was the best excursion we have ever booked!! Our guides: Mara, Monkey and our driver, Johnny were AMAZING!!!! They were the best. Made sure we had everything we needed, the food was great at the end!! Monkey made sure to get the best pics!! The plantation tour after was cool too, we got to try organic chocolate and Mamajuana. (A wine made there). They even took extra time after the excursion to take us to Pink street and Umbrella street!! They were just awesome!! Highly recommend this excursion!! You guys ROCKED!!!!

My husband did this whole tour experience. He said it was quite intense and exhilarating at the same time with some of the jumps into the water, but so much fun!!! He really enjoyed it!! I went on the hike but didn’t do the jumps. You can choose to do the hikes but not the jumps.

Very nice experience, the guides were profesional, fun and charming!!!! The views were wondeful, you do have to be careful with the dominican minutes, and should wear comfortable, and adequate shoes and clothes. 10/10

We had a wonderful day with this tour company. The waterfalls were so much fun! I loved the incredible lunch- chicken was great. We are still waiting on our photos but Alex was a great paparazzi! Thanks, Elizabeth, for all the fun and information.

Nice tour. Recommended. Worth it. There is some hiking but not somwthing crazy. The team guiding you are all young people and friendly.

The service was incredible.He went above and beyond the excursion itself He took us to a beautiful amber museum And to a chocolate factory where we drink coffee and tasted different chocolates. This was absolutely amazing and would recommend to everyone. The horses were also a beautiful experience. I have nothing bad to say.

We booked this tour while cruising and I was nervous to book something outside the cruise ship but so happy we did and would do it over again! DSRR has amazing communication, they texted us before our trip with clear instructions and even responded before with questions I had! Our tour guide Kilin (might be spelling wrong) was so great! He took time to explain everything gave us opportunities to rest and recovery from the hiking and made sure we got the best experience! Angel our “ Paparazzi” was quiet but took great photos of us!!! The lunch for us was so delicious my husband really felt at home eating this food! 10/10 would recommend and would book again with this company!!! 📸💧🏝️

We visited the falls and had so much fun as a family! We had a good hike up to the falls, then went down water rock slides and jumped into pools of water near the falls! It was a great family adventure!

Mara and Joni were awesome!! Very friendly and informative about the area. Quick to get us to the waterfall excursion from our cruise ship. Took care of us every step of the way!! Perfect directions on how to find them once we disembarked from the ship. We definitely recommend them for your next adventure!!!

Super fun tour with the kids. The best thing we did on our cruise! It was hot and steamy but when you finally get to the water it's so refreshing. Our guide was nice, kinda a lot of people as they combine you with lots of other tour groups. It was a bit of a walk to the meeting point but not too bad, nice and flat. You can rent water shoes there if you don't have any or don't want to get your tennis shoes wet and have to bring them back to the ship sopping wet.

Wow ! What an amazing experience. Directions to the collection point in the main road were spot on . Taken in an air conditioned van with WiFi ( kids pleaser) to the waterfalls. Looked after throughout, felt safe , great fun. Lovely lunch at the waterfalls ( provided and part of the cost) . Really enjoyed visiting a local community store . Bought coffee which was half the cost of the same product at the port duty free store . Bought all photos and videos of the trip as very very reasonable.

Terrible service. Reached out via WhatsApp to inquire about a group rate and the possibility of creating a quote/package if we were to contract them for multiple Private Transportation events. The agent I spoke with (possibly the owner Rosario?) was not direct with the necessary information needed for a quote, and instead was rude/snippy/disrespectful, and did not have a helping demeanor. Great Customer Service is everything when it comes to running a successful business. I would highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Plenty of other options in the DR that will give you a better rate and higher quality of service.
