After the tour, enjoy an authentic Dominican lunch and local rum drinks before heading back to your hotel. Total river time approx. 2.5 hours Jumps up to 8m/25ft, but don't worry, all the big jumps have walks if you're not comfortable with heights. Lived the little boat
Bryan gave us a great experience! Driving the boat was a lot of fun and so easy. He took us to a cool reef with lots of fish and the. A natural pool out in the ocean with music. You could also buy food and drinks there.

          Great tour in English
Great way to see the history of the city. Anthony was a great guide. You will be stopping at gift shops in between sites. Just be prepared to wait for the group and you will be fine. Bring water. Such a wonderful time.

          A must see
The city of Puerto Plata pleasantly impressed us. We were lucky that our guide, Enrique, from Amstar, was a deep expert on the city and its history, We visited the most important points of the city such as the historic center, its fort, its boardwalk, etc. I totally recommend it

          Gift shop trip
I had low expectations about the food or transportation for this trip; the price was low, and I was fully prepared to have limited food choices and an older bus. But as a history fan I was looking forward to the trip. I was expecting to hear a lot of interesting facts about the country's rich history and see historical buildings. Instead, I got a tour of different gift shops. At the end of the tour, when I was invited to visit yet another gift shop masked as a "larimar factory", I refused to enter and stayed outside. I do not know if Spanish speakers got a better "deal", but the tour in English consisted of max 1-3 sentences per building. The historical stops were less than 2 min each, except for the Cathedral and National Park. But we did stop for at least 25 min at each gift shop! The entire tour only had 2 highlights - the first stop at 3 Eyes National Park, where we had a different guide, and he was knowledgeable and attentive, and the stop at the Catedral Primada de América (we used an audio guide, it was very informative). I would not recommend this tour as a history tour. If you are looking to see gift shops- it is ok. As expected, the bus was small and old, and the food was horrible.

          Loads of fish, good food
Good experience considering the sea was choppy. Saw plenty of fish Food great , would have liked more shade with sunbeds on the island. Every rep that has a group calls them " my family" so when speed boats come to collect tourists from the island there is a chance that if you aren't paying attention you could end up on another speedboat back to a different boat. We weren't counted on board our boat when we left

          Rip off
10 minutes before we were supposed to be picked up by their shuttle, they canceled due to high winds. That is acceptable to me. What is not acceptable, is their refusal to refund our money! We are currently disputing the charge. I reached out and they promptly ignored me. DO NOT BOOK with these people!!!! I am not responsible for the high winds and expected to be treated in a professional manner. This outfit cannot be trusted to be honest.

          Dangerous situation
TERRIBLE!! avoid this excursion like the plague a “30 minute bus ride, turned into a hour plus bus ride where we got dumped off of the beach and had to swim through the rough waters & climb onto a run down fishing boat that provided no speakers & no open bar, we felt that it was a very dangerous situation turned around and took a taxi cab back to the cruise ship.

Good Half Day Tour, Does NOT Include Airport Pickup.
The tour itself was good and I enjoyed it. The places we visited were excellent and the guide was good. However, the ad is a bit misleading. I flew in to Santo Domingo and my hostel for the night was also in Santo Domingo. The rest of the tour group came in from Punta Cana. Contrary to what the title of the tour says, pickup from the airport is NOT included. I spent a very stressful hour and a half from 7 - 8:30 am, sitting in the airport, thinking that I was missing my tour. The Expedia phone number was down and finally I managed to find the local number for the tour operator and called them on WhatsApp. The man I spoke to told me that he did have a reservation for me, but that they don't offer pickup from the airport and I would need to take a taxi from the airport to my hostel. The 7 am pick up time listed here is for the folks coming from Punta Cana. The tour operator told me that he would pick me up at 9:30 from my hostel. They didn't actually pick me up until around 10:45, but I was still the first one from my group to arrive, as the van from Punta Cana didn't arrive until 11:30. The sights we saw in Santo Domingo were excellent and lived up to all my expectations, but the tour ended for me at around 3:30 and the rest of the group continued back to Punta Cana, so it's really only a half day tour. Would have given five stars for the just the tour itself, but the mix up at the airport caused me to knock a star off.

          Safari tour
We had Alex as our guide and did the safari in late October. Everything was organized to perfection. Alex was a top guy who went out of his way to give us a wonderful day. The tour took a little longer than planned because we stopped at several places to take pictures. We visited a basilica, learned how to make cigars , visited a local market, rode horseback and were explained about the production of coffee and cocoa.... Thanks to Alex! Highly recommended!

          Would not go back
So overall it was ok. The drinks were some mamajuana and beer. Now we did pay 70 a person and it was a bunch of us so we did expect more. The cups with the beer were plastic but made it easy for bugs to get in the cup which unfortunately happened to me. Didn’t see it until I drank it. The snacks were chips and cheese and idk how long the cheese was out but we did see the lady who fixed the plates use her hands (no gloves) to grab chips and licked her fingers while she ate chips and cheese herself. Now we are on this boat for some hours so chips and cheese was a rip off. The snorkeling was only a few minutes, the dolphins was us passing by an excursion and watching trapped dolphins basically cry about being trapped. Then the beach wasn’t private. You are surrounded with other boats on the same excursion and the locals basically sexually harass you in the water. The Camera man on our boat literally followed us to the car because we didn’t want to buy the pics. He gave them to us for free eventually but wanted us to pay almost 200 for pictures. He had an attitude lol hun we said no. We tried to bargain at first for 120 I mean it was like 14 of us. Boy I’m glad we didn’t buy them because he had us looking like porn stars. Pictures of us bent over, all in our boobs, pictures with the locals grabbing on us, some of our faces weren’t ready, eyes closed, etc. Then they say we can control the music but one girl changed the music every time we played something. She played songs she knew and wanted to hear and it was the same songs over and over again. I wouldn’t go back. Over priced for what they provide. I get folks need to eat but don’t rip people off.

          Things you need to know
The people were super friendly. We danced and drank on the catamaran, went snorkeling for about 30 minutes before we were called back to the boat, then went to hang out on the beach on Catalina island for i think about 1.5 hours then we got put on another boat back to la roma where they finally fed us. On the island we got a little cut of a sandwich and 3 pieces of fruit so i would recommend bringing lots of snacks and sunblock. If you get motion sick at all be sure to bring some pills for that we had a few on the boat that weren't having a good time because of it. Wasn't a bad trip just the food thing is what made a lot of people mad and the unorganized manner once they dropped us off at the hard rock and couldn't figure out who was supposed to get in what shuttle to head back to the resort. At 3:30 they finally fed us a really good meal but after all that sun and swimming people need more food at around 11 to hold them over till 3:30.

What was promised was not delivered
Normally I don’t leave a feedback , especially bad one, but unfortunately this excursion deserves it. No lobster was served and the guide was not interested to sort this or acknowledge the issue. He sent me back to the hotel which had nothing to do with the excursion I booked. Pick up was 3 hrs late with no explanation and I spent all morning trying to find out if the trip is still happening. Great start of the happy day! “English guide” could not speak English and as I was the only one English speaking person I was left out to manage myself. If you are looking for what they allegedly offer look elsewhere as I could easily book cheaper trip for the experience I had with them and promises they didn’t delivered I’m highly disappointed how they treat their clients especially if you are English speaking person. There was no responsibility acknowledge for the issues I experienced.
