Overview
Embark on a 8-hour exhilarating adventure near the beautiful Carite State Forest located only 45 minutes from San Juan. Your guide will provide you and your small-group with interesting historical facts about the Taino Indian heritage as well as the sugar cane industry as you drive by valleys and plantation ruins. You will zipline 5 different lines, rappel 80 feet down the gorgeous El Salto Waterfall and enjoy a home cooked meal in a beautiful mountain setting.
Highlights
  • All zipline and rappelling equipment and instruction is included
  • Rappel down a waterfall and zipline down a mountain near San Juan
  • A home-cooked meal awaits after your forest adventure
  • Small group and guide ensures personalized service
What to Expect
Begin your day with a pickup at select San Juan, Condado, or Isla Verde hotels. After a 45-minute ride to Caguas with your guide and small group, you receive your helmet and harness and begin your Carite State Forest adventure.
First, you take an uphill hike while your guide briefs the group on safety procedures for the day and shares local history and lore. You walk along the river and through the forest before beginning your climb up waterfalls—eventually reaching the top of El Salto Waterfall. Once at the top, you rappel down the falls as a group.
Hike downriver with your group and take five different ziplines to the bottom of the mountain. There, you enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal, before you are dropped back at your hotel.

This is a long overdue review from 2018. I went on the full day tour with my husband, sister and daughter (ages 17- adult). Every one of us had an incredible time. The hike is challenging but manageable with a reasonable degree of physical fitness....More

Coolest thing I have ever done! The hike is hard, uphill, rough terrane, a lot of it is through a river but so worth it!! You will get soaking wet either hiking through the river that can get waist deep, or repelling down the water...More

Yes, you are! As long as they can handle the hiking/repelling, they will be just fine. They will have to zipline/repel but the only thing they can't participate in would be the alcohol at the end.

It is somewhat strenuous, there are uphill hikes and some longer hikes through water, but there are quite a few breaks. If you are totally out of shape, then its not going to be enjoyable.
