          Meh
I really wanted to love this tour. First, I will say that kayaking at night is cool, even if you weren’t going to see much. The guides were doing their best with a large group. I booked this tour mainly because of the reviews and the group size max of 12. There were no fewer than 20 people on our bus and more people in kayaks once we got there. The day before the tour, we called to confirm the time and were told 4:15 instead of 4:30. No problem. I texted about the possibility of bringing food on the bus but got no reply. Then the day of our tour at around 3:30, we were texted by the driver that we needed to be at the pickup at 4:05 and not to be late because we’d miss the bus, so we rushed to get there and then had to wait til 4:15 for the driver to arrive. Once there, we felt rushed along in our kayaks to get to the bay, even though we weren’t far behind the people kayaking in front of us. Then, there would be sudden stops and everyone had to avoid crashing. The biobay was nice but we had to put tarps over our heads with our kayaks all tied together - 3 kayaks to 1 tarp and try to splash the water between us to see the bioluminescence. It looks like static electricity in the water. Then, we were told we had free time to “practice” before paddling back. My friend and I just stayed put and floated during this free time. We were called out for “not staying with the group” even though we hadn’t moved and they hadn’t summoned us to leave yet. When we paddled over to the group, everyone was just waiting around to leave and running into each other. When we got back, there were only a few bathroom stalls to change in and not enough time for everyone to change clothes. We were given a mini bottle of water and a little bag of chips. That’s all we got for the 5+ hours that we were out, so we didn’t get any dinner til after 10 that night. That said, the bus has a sign that no food or drinks are allowed, but everyone was eating their snacks, so if I were you, I’d just bring food. If you’re okay with the larger group size, bringing food or going without, riding back in soggy clothes, and being rushed along at every step, this is the tour for you. If not, I’m told Mosquito Bay is the way to go anyways. If you can get there, do that.

          Must go!!!
The tour was amazing! The rainforest was beautiful and the food at the stops were delicious. Our tour guide Tony was very knowledgeable and his energy was fantastic. He handled himself very well considering the fact that one of the tour guides assaulted him on the waterslide. But all in all, I highly recommend this tour.

          Disappointed
The company that provided the experience was great- on time and communicated well about shuttle pick up, friendly and professional, safe and organized. However- the actual experience was disappointing- maybe my expectations were too high from other photos I had seen. Also- they informed us the “glowing” is better when the days are hotter- so maybe I went at the wrong time of the year(January)-but the glowing was barely visible, even with the tarps to put over us that the company provided to darken the environment.. I just expected this to be much more brilliant of a display than what we saw.

          Fun and Safe Experience
We kayaked with Puerto Rico Access Tours in the 8pm-10pm Bioluminescence Bay tour in Fajardo. The team was always checking to see how we were doing and we felt very safe. They are also very knowledgeable and can be funny sometimes 😄. Bioluminescence wasn't that great, but they gave us a tarp to cover ourselves and we got so see the dinoflagellates glow! One of the tour guides even passed me a jelly fish. Great experience. Totally recommend!

          Must See!
This is one of my favorite things we did this trip! It was amazing kayaking at night. We got to see a sky full of stars as well as the “electricity” (that’s what it looked like to me) of the bioluminescence. Captain Emily & Jaime were awesome!

          Excellent
This excursion was so much fun! Our guide, Rafael, was kind, informative and fun. We were able to see different parts of the rainforest and the stop at Luquillo was so much fun. Highly recommend to anybody who wants to see some of the rainforest, but isn’t interested in doing longer hikes

          Just book it
One of the coolest experiences of my whole life. Don’t miss this. It was incredible. Apparently, it was less “bright” than normal too. I’d go again in an instant.

          Find a different kayak tour!
Stunning lack of information. I had to ask about what to wear. Everyone got wet, as expected, but there was no proper place to change into dry clothes! It was buggy and everyone got itchy bites, whether we sprayed or no. The trip leader spoke English that was as fast as her Spanish, so I got about every fifth word. That was okay because I am an experienced kayaker, but many were not and had no clue how to control the direction of their kayak. In terms of organization and communication I would rate "Very Poor." I was bow in the kayak, and was paired with a young woman, who sat is the stern, as she was heavier. We had no time to talk and strategize how to communicate, and the boat ahead of us could not steer! It was chaos. Speaking with another woman, while we were waiting for the bathroom, she had done this kayak tour before, and said that this one was very poorly organized and not fun. Biggest complain: NO PLACE TO CHANGE and the bathroom had a broken toilet, and another toilet that would not flush. Very long lines for the women's bathroom made the experience even worse.

          Fantastic Day
What an amazing day! Alex was such a fantastic guide - we learned alot about the island and the rainforest. My teenage girls and I loved the rain forest - especially the climbing of rocks up to the waterfall and the walk to the river where we swam. Luquilo beach was beautiful and we had a lovely lunch with some time to enjoy the beach. This company is so thoughtful and has the ability to accommodate people with mobility challenges (my husband is in a wheelchair). They made the whole experience seamless and wonderful. I highly recommend!

          Yes to Yunque! Love Luquillo!
¡Fantastico! Our guide, Rafael, was bubbly, interesting, knowledgeable, and a safe and expeditious driver. The forest hike and viewing spots were spectacular. Luquillo Beach was perfectly mellow, beach shack dive for amazing pizza and surfer vibes..so chill. What a beautiful country! I know it's "technically " US, but it's truly a whole other culture--absorb and enjoy!

Good intro tour to the rainforest
We visited in Dec 2024 and booked the half day 6hr tour. Our tour guide, Angel, picked us up in a van at nearby hotel and after couple of more stops to pick few more travelers and some history bits along the road, we headed to rain forest. It took about 1 hr to get there. The views were amazing. There were lot of tourist like us at the view points so at times it got crowded. There are only portable toilets in the forest so be prepared for that. We saw a waterfall and then the hiked down to a river where we got in water. The tour guide shared info about the forest, some special trees, animals along the way. Overall it was a good intro tour if you don't want to walk much and get a taste of the rain forest. Next time, I would like to hike and explore more though.

          Disappointing Experience
This was supposed to be a fantastic experience, but they took us in early and brought us back by 7:30, which is when other tours started. It was not dark enough, and they put tarps on our heads to simulate darkness in the bay. We were barely able to see anything. Further, the guides could not control the kayakers, who kept banging into each other. Taking us out into the bay so early was useless, and a very disappointing experience. I have taken this kind of tour before and had an amazing experience. This wasn't very pleasant.

Our guide, Edwin and driver, Raf were wonderful. They were kind, informative, fun and made our day a great one. We especially liked being in the forest itself and swimming. Plus the visit to Luquillo was wonderful

          Perfect lowkey day trip
This was a perfect day trip for those looking to see El Yunque but don’t want to do any strenuous hiking. Very suitable for older folks or families with young children, or really anyone who just wants a chill day trip :) Tour guides Rafael and Angel were really great too - knowledgeable, friendly, and funny!

Good intro to Yunque - Left us wanting more.
Good intro to the rain forest. Would have preferred more hiking. Rafael & Angel were great hosts. Food at the beach was varied and very good.

Wonderful! Litza was fun, caring, very knowledgeable. Right amount of time at each stop. The trip was a leisurely pace and nice size group. Perfect for my 80-yr-old mother (very healthy and energetic) and me; there were also a couple of families 10-16 year old kids, couples, friends, singles.
