- 478deannas0 contributionsSouthern ExposureThis is our third visit to Martinique. If you are deciding what tour to take, this is good if you have already toured the northern part of the island. Rose was our guide and did a great job of meeting us at the port. Four people did not show. Luckily, the policy is to wait 10 minutes. We were told to meet 10-15 minutes before the start time of 9:00. So given that we waited 20-25 minutes. Once we were on the road Rose gave us a great narration on the history of Martinique. Our first stop was a cute rum distillery. We then stopped in a village to shop at a market. To Rose’s surprise it was closed due to a special event. I feel the tour company should have known this and planned an alternative stop. Rose was great at rolling with the changes. We then stopped at the slave memorial. Our final stop was a beach town. It’s super cute. We were only there for about one hour, so we decided to walk around the town instead of swimming at the beach. There are no chairs or umbrellas to rent here so keep that in mind if you plan on staying on the beach. It was about an hour drive back to the ship. I wish the stops were closer together. Most of the 5 hour tour was spent on the bus driving.Written 26 January 2025

- Voyage387143295610 contributionsA perfect day in MartiniqueFlorence picked us up at the Cruise dock in Martinique for an air conditioned bus tour from the cruise port to the Club Med on the Southern side of the island. As a historian her thoroughly entertaining and informative tour of the island’s culture and history was remarkable. She remained accessible to us for entire delightful afternoon we spent at the resort. The day pass at Club Med was a treat. With a lovely beach and pool and the run of the resort. Being a French resort we were treated to the absolute best lunch of our entire vacation.Written 17 January 2025
- rainir20250 contributionsAwesome tour guide!Florence was our guide on the day trip to Club Med, in Southern Martinique. Although the drive from the cruise terminal to the Club was very long, she kept us entertained with rich stories of Martinique’s history and culture and she had a great laid back sense of humor that made the time pass quickly. She was very kind and helpful and made sure we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout the day. I would love to return to Martinique one day to explore some of the other fascinating places she talked about during this tour! 5-stars, do recommend!Written 16 January 2025

- LauraDiItaly0 contributionsPrivate food tour with SarahSarah was our passionate and cheerful guide on Fort de France Food Tasting and Cultural Walking Tour. Despite some initial rain our walking tour was very very pleasant and Sarah made sure we were comfortable at every stop. From the Schoelcher library to FdF stunning Cathedral to a yummy Sugar-cane-juice freshly squeezed we learnt a lot about that interesting town and could visit places WHERE LOCALS GO !!! We could taste “tete dwet” pastry at an Historic bakery , run since many years by the same family , DELICIOUS !!! Myself and husband were treated to a yum sit-down local breakfast and I could even chat with the lovely old owner, trying that bit of “creole” that Sarah had been teaching us. At the FdF open market we were gifted with a small bouquet of “medicinal” herbs and the final visit to a Fine Epicerie presented us with tasty local delicatessen ! This was our second stay in Martinique, but during this tour we could learn much more about local life and curiosities than during our previous visits. THANK YOU Sarah, we do hope to meet you again during our next trip to Fort de France !!Written 1 January 2025
- LondonsCallingMe0 contributionsFantastic tour with a fantastic guide.Stéphane was fantastic. He had an immense knowledge of the island, and catered to our every need throughout our trip. He spoke great English, which was important for engaging our young kids. Speaking of which, he was sweet and helpful with our kids. Our 3 year old daughter felt comfortable with him instantly. When he spotted a truck with coconuts on the side of the road, he pulled over and helped fulfill our wish to drink/eat from a coconut. He gave a tour of the Depaz Rum distillery as if he worked there - quite knowledgeable about the rum-making process. When we got back to the ferry, he helped to make sure we we got on the boat without issue. All in all, a wonderful experience!Written 30 December 2024

Manuel is an enthusiastic and kind guide. Our stop at the library was my favorite. I do wish that the company could call ahead and reserve seats for the patrons. We wasted some time going to a restaurant that was not prepared to serve us and had to return later.

Thank you for your feedback! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tour with Manuel—he truly goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience.
We appreciate your understanding about the restaurant. It’s run by a kind elderly lady in a very hectic area, which makes it challenging for her to be as quick as some guests might prefer. This reflects our Caribbean lifestyle—slower-paced, focused on enjoying the moment without rush. We encourage our guests to embrace this unique part of our culture.
Rest assured, the tour always stays on schedule, so there’s no impact on timing.
We value your insights and hope to see you again soon
