About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Kiptopeke30 contributionsNice experience!Dalton was our tour guide and he was great. Very informative and funny, too. Very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. I didn't taste ALL the rum but my husband did, thoroughly enjoyed it. In between rum tastings, there were chocolate samples. We booked an early tour so it was just two of us with him, very personalized!Written 10 March 2025
- TAMAN19510 contributionsVery enjoyableGuide was very polite and informative. Saw a number of of plants and enjoyed the cacao and coconut demonstrations. Lovely manor and interesting Caribbean village.Written 16 November 2024
- ngf570 contributionsExplore at leisure, below-par lunchCame to this lovely estate as part of a tour with P&O cruises: Vistas, Volcano and Local Lunch (full price was £80 per head). The grounds are beautiful and we had a decent insight into coconut and cocoa processing plus seeing the replica stick huts. However, the lunch (not really a buffet) was disappointing...queued up for a choice of chicken drumstick or dry fish goujons with rice and a fritter. Overall it is a site well worth exploring by yourself. Perhaps would try rum-tasting or a zipline experience in future. Wouldn't recommend booking through P&O though, I'm sure other operators offer better value for money - although the drive-in volcano is definitely worth seeing if you get the chance!Written 13 May 2024
- RandyRoss0 contributionsInteresting Historical Estate TourThe second stop in our tour of St. Lucia was at the Morne Courbaril Estate, where we toured the grounds and had a light snack. The Plantation currently produces cocoa, coffee and copra, as well as growing a vast selection of tropical fruits such as orange, grapefruit and lime, all of which are used to make juices. Additionally coconuts are harvested and used to make coconut cake. The plantation house is not open for tours as the owners (the Devaux family) stay there for several weeks per year. However, there was still a lot to see on the historical estate tour. We did not do the waterfall hike, ziplining or horseback riding (not part of our tour). But we did see some birds, including both the male and female Lesser Antillean Bullfinch.Written 4 May 2024
- D8862ZEstephanief0 contributionsGood estate tour - excellent rum tastingWent here on our last day on the island more as something to fill the time rather than anything else. I had looked up their tours online so I knew what we wanted to do: a basic tour of the estate coupled with the rum and chocolate tasting. In total for 2 adults we paid $72 which was quite expensive but I would say the rum tasting was quite generous. Dalton was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about various plants/ cocoa making etc. Seeing what to do with a harvested coconut was very interesting. The tour took about 30 minutes and we were the only couple on it. I would say this is an activity which you can do spontaneously and don't need to book. After the tour we sat down with another couple to do the rum and chocolate tasting. My husband doesn't drink alcohol so you can pay a lower amount just for the chocolate tasting. For the rum tasting, we tried 12 different rum 'drinks'. I don't particularly like rum but the first 6 drinks were all rum liqueurs which were lovely. They were served in shot glasses and I would say each sample was appr 2cm deep, so a good sized sample. Towards the end we got to the proper rums finishing off with one at 80%proof (which none of the group fancied 😀). For the chocolate tasting there were 4 different sorts of dark chocolate, all of which tasted lovely and were served in between different rums. As a quick activity in the morning I would recommend it. The place is right on the main highway out of Soufriere and very easy to find. We drove from here to the Toraille waterfall which made for a nice morning's activity.Written 4 May 2024
- sierradog10 contributionsLovely place--however tour not so much. The grounds are beautiful--unfortunately our tour guide was an older teen who seemed really bored and was reciting from a script in his head. Would have preferred a "this is what it was like to live on the estate type of tour." I would love to come back another time and try the zip line because the grounds are lovely. The gift shop is very nice and many on the tour made purchases. Would have preferred skipping the snack in the pavilion and heading back to our transportation early. Restrooms were available and clean.Written 30 March 2024
- Camkoru310 contributionsNice short tourWe decided to take this short tour to fill in some time. We had the tour and lunch. The tour was nice. Would have liked a bit more history about the property. Lunch was good but you cannot go back for seconds even though it's a buffet.Written 16 January 2024
- dutchgirl730 contributionsFun day ziplining, hiking, and tour!We booked our adventure here directly on their site, after emailing them with questions. I wanted to do basically everything and so booked the 3-in-1 and the Sapphire Falls hike. If you do the same don't get too hung up on the times, it's not very structured. Everyone we interacted with here made the day one of the highlights of our trip to St Lucia. Dalton took us on an informative and entertaining tour of the estate, then we were joined by another staff member for the ziplining and I really wish I could remember his name. They both made it an awesome exoerience, while maybe not the most heart pounding zips they were varied and had some beautiful views. Dalton took so many pics and videos for us, that was so cool! Then we were shown to the lunch area to fuel up with a delicious local style meal before heading on to our hike. We learned on this trip that we are not in as good shape as we thought, but Liam was great, stopping and waiting when we needed a break and telling us about our surroundings and the estate. Finish it off with a rum and chocolate tasting, and it was just a fantastic day. Every one from the driver that took us between out hotel and the estate, to the guides, and the gift shop staff were personable, fun, and made this a great day!Written 15 October 2023
- Despite370 contributionsRum and Chocolate TastingWe did the rum and chocolate tasting tour and had a great time! I didn’t expect to get a tour of the entire estate on top of it, but really enjoyed learning about the history of the property. The tour employees were very professional and the experience overall was very positive!Written 17 August 2023
- M1914LZjessicab0 contributionsGreat VisitOur travel guide was great and very knowledgeable. She showed us around the lovely property. We learn about the many plants and herbs and how they are used. We fed a donkey and learned about chocolate and coconuts. We even got to drink water and taste a freshly cut coconut. We also took some nice pictures.Written 8 June 2023
- N_80600 contributionsBeautiful Morne Coubaril EstateVery beautiful place, and a very good local lunch which was absolutely delicious. I will be back here to spend more time and do some more activities FOR SURE!Written 30 May 2023
- Quest7648980 contributionsGreat insight to a plantationThe zip line guys were amazing and we had a really fun time. That was followed by a guided tour with Jonathan who was an absolute delight and very knowledgeable. He gave us rum and chocolate tasting. We then had a buffet lunch. The whole experience took us 4 hoursWritten 1 November 2022
- JoS29210 contributionsGreat experience, great value for money! We went on the historical tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. Jonathan was our guide around the traditional Carib village, herb and spice garden, cocoa bean processing, coconut harvesting and more. We were treated to fresh mangoes and coconuts picked especially for us and prepared by Terry. It was great value for money, around $11 (USD). We went in the morning and felt like we had the estate to ourselves and as we were leaving around 1PM large coaches of visitors from cruises/organised tours arrived so we would recommend going in the morning if you want a more private/peaceful tour. Definitely worth doing especially if you want some island history or if you're going to the nearby mud baths and waterfall. It's also nearby to Hotel Chocolat/Project Chocolat so is a good (and much cheaper!) alternative for seeing how raw cocoa beans are processed into a form ready for making chocolate. It's a good precursor to the bean to bar experience. Definitely worth the trip if you have a car to travel there.Written 18 June 2022
- Chilled_Herts0 contributionsNice and easy tour near SoufriereHad a very informative tour of the estate with Jonathan our guide. Coconut tasting was great with Terry. Highly recommended and very reasonable price for the tour (approx £10 per person)Written 18 June 2022
- Leggy_giraffe0 contributionsA lovely informative tourFor this tour, I was paired with Vinia, who was s1uch a lovely person to talk with. She knew her history and had me sample a lot of tasty treats : sugar cane, tamarind, cocoa beans, cocoa nips, coconut and even marshmallow coconut ! I got to understand how people lived, to learn about a bunch of different trees, plants and flowers grown locally, and to view live demonstrations - whether it was the famous Coco Rina dance or the dehusking coconuts. I highly recommend this tour to anyone curious about learning more about St-Lucia while expanding their taste buds.Written 13 June 2022

Great friendly guides.
Fun zips... about an hour max.
Easy to do as they do all the work for you.
Estate is beautiful and I would recommend the chocolate tasting with rum tasting... you get a fair amount of rum to try lol.

I booked both the 18th Century Estate Tour and the Zipline experience.
For the Zipline experience, I was with Philip and Emery. I was a bit apprehensive, as I have an on/off fear of heights, but it was honestly so easy and fun once I got past the first line.
It always felt safe and I got some amazing pictures and videos of the experience, courtesy of Philip.

Can’t say enough about this experience. All staff were so friendly and helpful. Both Dalton/ Emory were excellent zip lining instructors/ zip companions who ensure you have the safest, informative, and exciting time. They also take a plethora of pictures/ videos of you on Your phone; so no photo pressure at the end of your experience. Dalton also hosted a rum tasting; sampled 13 different rums to cap off the morning. Highly recommend Mourne Coubaril.

Ziplining crew were absolutely brilliant and full of sense of humour 👏. They made it so much fun. The entire group enjoyed their company. Extremely helpful and professional. Highly recommended 👌
We booked for lunch after the zipline. We received the worst customer service ever from a rude, arrogant and no customer service experience at all from a young man called Kerlem. We were left in shock and num. We walked in with a group that had come in for lunch. Kerlem points to a table and tells us to sit . I highlighted we were uncomfortable sitting on this particular table if we could sit on a different table we would appreciate. He then turns round to us and says well you don't have a choice that's where you're sitting. I said no we do have a choice . He says no, you sit where I tell you to sit. So we refused. Then he says you're wasting my time I've other customers to serve. I said okay you can serve the others then come back to me. We eventually sat on a different table and was attended to by a different member of staff. I'd recommend customer service training for Kerlem.

Thank you for taking time out to provide us with a feedback. It is very unfortunate that you were treated in this manner. All our staff are properly trained and well mannered, including the young man in question, therefore, I was quite surprised to have read this comment, as this gentleman is very friendly and professional. I had a chat with him to ascertain what transpired. Having heard the two sides of the story I can conclude that this was a simple one misunderstanding and I apologize that he did not communicate the situation better to you. Firstly, We are currently in the busy cruise ship season, therefore our restaurant is setup to accommodate large groups. Since you were on the line together with the large group, he assumed you were part of this group, hence he proceeded to seat you at the table reserved for this group. Had you informed that you were not part of this group, you would have been seated at a different table away from the group. Again I do apologize for this, the young man has been cautioned and this will not reoccur. Despite this slight misunderstanding, we are happy to know that you enjoyed your Zipline experience.

Nicholas and Greg are the best ever. We really enjoyed our time zip-lining and learning about St.Lucia. They were very professional, fun, kind and just great people! They made sure safety was of the top priority! This zip lining was great because my partner had never been outdoor zip-lining before, but if you’re experienced and want an adrenaline rush it would not be my first option. However Nicholas and Greg made it so much fun it is one I would do again. Great for families and couples. It wasn’t so much walking that you were exhausted when you got to the top so that was very nice! Thanks for a great experience! -LGBT Couple Experience

The ziplining tour was easy to book online. We arrived on time and they set us up with two guides and got us equipped right away. The staff was wonderful and we felt safe at all times, in good hands. We were a group of three, and they took such good care of us. Explaining each course, pointing out different trees, parts of the island, making us totally at ease and laugh. They also took lots of pictures and videos for us on our phones. We added on the buffet lunch. Covid protocols were followed, the food was good, and the restaurant staff was nice. I highly recommend this zipline experience and estate

Although I cannot for the life of me remember our very knowledgeable and great guides this excursion was awesome! They let us know what to expect and made us feel very safe. Our day was rainy and foggy but we still had a great time. On the boat ride back to the ship we had the fortunate pleasure to sit next to Omiyah, another zip line guide although she wasn’t ours. We talked for the whole ride back (almost an hour) and learned so much about St. Lucia, the food, the weather, the locals and Omiyah too. She learned about our New Jersey food and weather as well. What a perfect way to end our great day! And she showed us pictures of sights we didn’t get to see first hand because of the fog. Thanks Omiyah!

We also did the estate tour: perfect day trip, easy way to know a bit of the estate's,the village's and the island's history. The ziplinging is AMAZING!!! Emery and Andre are looking out for you, while also being really funny! They make the experience even better!
Noelita was really knowledgeable, we could discuss past and current situation of the area. Geary was amazing with the coffee bean dance. The rum tasting was the cherry on top of it! :-) Just recommend!

This was our first zipline experience and Pinky and Omiah made us feel totally relaxed immediately. I was having such a great time that I didn’t want for it to end. I’d definitely do it again! Pinky took great pictures for me and I trusted that she wouldn’t drop my phone. Thank you both for making this experience so much fun!
