          Books something else
Book something else. The guide, George, was amicable. Driver was not smooth on the wheel, brakes or gas. Weak stomachs may need preparation or go elsewhere. Chief gripe: the tour was not as advertised. First, it's not as long as the 5.5 hours in the attached screenshot of the marketing material on Trip Advisor, but we didn't want it any longer than the 4 hours and 15 minutes it required. Terrible stops at the overlook and in the volcano. Plantation visit was OK. No tropical juices. No need for swimsuits as the marketing material said. And none of this (straight from the marketing material on this site): "stop at Roseau Breach to see the banana plantations, and explore the charming fishing villages of Anse-La-Raye and Canaries." Would've been good to stop at the banana plantation or the fishing village. Guide just talked about it as we waved at it passing by. Also, no diamond falls visit as stated in the itinerary on this site. Entirely deceptive. Don't do business with Barefoot Holidays in St Lucia.

          Do not recommend this tour!
On this trip you picked up by a van at your hotel and driven to the south side of the island. This was our first visit to St. Lucia and we had no idea how terrible the roads were. We were supposed to be picked up at 9:00 a.m. and our driver arrived at 8:00. No time for breakfast! We then had to go through terrible traffic to pick up people at the port in Castres. This process took 45 minutes before we could begin our tour. George, our guide was very friendly and informative along the way. The problem was it took 2 1/2 hours to arrive at our destination. Stopped for a view of the Pitons, then drove on to spend a brief stop at the open volcano. We saw the mud baths but did not have a chance to use them. Our final stop a plantation. That was the best part of the trip. It was a very interesting tour. By this time it's 1:00. We were not given any time to eat or drink and began our 2 and 1/2 hour journey back to our resort. The the roads are terrible!. We did not return until until 3:30 p.m. both of us very hungry and grumpy from having to spend 5 hours total in the van. I would not recommend this tour. If you want to see the island, take a catamaran!

          Bare Foot Rum Tour.
We had a fabulous morning at the Rum Tour in St Lucia. Our Tour Guide Vincent from Bare Foot Tours was an absolute gentleman and it was an honour spending a few hours in his company. He was very knowledgeable about St Lucia and made us feel very welcome, he even stopped off at a few places so that we could take photos. I would highly recommend booking Vincent as your tour guide you will not be disappointed.

          Dolphin and whale watching
All staff, including the driver, were excellent. Exhilarating trip culminating in a huge pod of dolphins AND pilot whales. Feel so lucky. Thankyou.

We adored the best of St Lucia and mostly because of Sammy. He was exceptional in every possible way and made our visit super special

          Good times, great food
The crew was amazing and the food was excellent - by far, the best we had on our whole trip. Loved the mud bath and waterfall. Snorkeling was only so-so but that wasn't anything to do with this tour specifically. Taking the catamaran down and back up the west side of the island was a million times better than driving.

A whale of a good time!
A very fun tour, the staff was great. Jungle juice and beer for all! Saw a large pod of dolphins for quite some time. Unfortunately we didn’t see any whales, it’s Mother Nature, such is life! It was my birthday and the sang to me. I would recommend this trip to every and all.

We LOVED the Essence of St. Lucia Tour!
Excellent tour of an estate garden. Ours was a small group, with a fabulous tour guide. We were served a delightful lunch of local dishes which were flavourful (while not overly hot for us with tender palates, LoL!)

          Sailing and So Much More
This tour offered more than my family and I expected. The catamaran sail offered beautiful views and the lunch served on it was delicious. Also, the stops at the sulphur springs, waterfall, and snorkeling were unique and fun. We met amazing people from different countries and enjoyed our time listening to music on the catamaran.

          DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE
Booked a full day tour on line for two people and received an acknowledgement of the booking, including the booking number. Heard nothing further and so called them the next day (today), gave them my booking number, and they undertook to call me back 'shortly' - in 5 - 10 minutes via Whatsapp. That was three hours ago and nothing heard. I will check on my bank account to make sure that my credit card has not been debited as I had to give them my credit card details at the time of booking. They undertake not to action this until the booking confirmed so I hope that they live up to their policy. All round a most disappointing experience.

          Wonderful Airport Transfer Experience
I contacted Barefoot Holidays to assist with airport transfers to/from the resort. The booking process was seamless and the team was very efficient and professional. Upon arriving at the airport, I was greeted with a cold bottle of water and a genuine smile. The drivers were very safe, friendly, and highlighted points of interest and information on St. Lucia as we traveled on the various destinations. I highly recommend contacting Barefoot Holidays for your airport transfers.

          Not a relaxing sail
The trip did have some nice features. Good tour of volcano and waterfall. Snorkeling was average at best and lunch was sub par with rice, noodles and some bland "fresh water" fish. The worst part was the VERY loud and sometimes vulgar music being blared over the numerous speakers. No escaping this while on the boat. Not appropriate for all audiences to be sure. If you are looking for a relaxing day out this is definitely not it. This experience was so bad I canceled a second snorkel trip as to not be jarred by extremely loud "music" for a second day. No refund was offered for the second trip. Live and learn.

Firstly, massive thank you to Jacqueline from Barefoot Adventures for her excellent communication from the moment of booking to confirming exact time of pick up from our hotel.

The rain forest main entrance is set up well. You show your booking, then given tickets to give to the guides. There's lots going on from the tram ride to zip lining, though we had booked the hiking.

There are clean, well kept toilets. A lovely cafe and gift shop at the entrance point.

Our guide Joel took us with 3 other hikers. Joel is incredibly knowledgeable, explaining so much about the forest, plantlife, trees, critters and animals. It was fascinating.

The hike took about 2.5 to 3 hours (including a break at the top of the tram station), I didn't clock the time exactly. Its a moderate level hike with inclines, declines, and varying terrain. There were handrails and steps at points, though I recommend a hiking stick as that's particularly useful on the way back down.

If you have a dodgy knee give this one a miss. And it's a rain forest so expect high humidity.

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Joel was great, the rain forest is beautiful, the hike is mainly under the cover of the trees so it was nice not having the beating sun on us. Our hiking group were lovely and a pleasure to share this experience with.

Recommend this for those of you who like walking and have a decent level of fitness.

My wife and I took this walk while vacationing in St Lucia and enjoyed the trail and beautiful foliage. We saw plenty of birds including lots of hummingbirds at the visitor center where there is a small snack bar with food. There is also zip lining here which we didn't partake in. The rain forrest walk lasts about 1:45 minutes and allows you to see an interesting waterfall.

This is a well marked trail, in good condition. It follows a figure of 8 route, with just a couple of viewing points. Otherwise hemmed in by trees.Get there on the road through Ti Rocher. The more approach on the more northerly road through Latille and Anse is useless as there is a missing bridge at Mahaut.
