Oliver is fantastic. He works very hard to find the right words and instruction that will connect with the learner. I appreciated his time and willingness to help me improve my approach to the ball. While I still have a lot to improve upon, I am better. Thank you, Oliver. Also for tennis playing travelers - Oliver does have loaner rackets. Don’t let your equipment left at home prevent you from taking a lesson while visiting St. Martin.

Oliver is great! I came to the academy while visiting the island. I am an avid tennis player who is recently recovering from tennis elbow. He showed me how to hold the racket and properly move to hit the ball without hurting my elbow. It was a great lesson! I wish I was here longer!

I really can’t say enough good things about this tennis/pickleball facility, and the owner Oliver! Everything is well maintained and in great shape, including the equipment rentals (we did not bring our own with us) Booking the court time was quick and simple as Oliver was speedy to reply via WhatsApp. He was even gracious enough to give us tome tips and pointers as we were all beginners. This was truly a highlight for our trip! Thank you Oliver, we will see you again next year!!

We are experienced tennis players and love the game. We enjoy vacationing in St. Martin and discovered, through researching the island’s tennis capabilities, the American Tennis Academy and Oliver, the owner and Pro. We wanted to improve our ground strokes and serves. Oliver understood our objectives and immediately put a plan in place for each of us. Our friend videoed our current technique, as well as Oliver’s corrective instructions. We enjoyed our six early morning lessons, his personal approach and communication. American Tennis Academy is an absolute jewel of a facility on the northern part of St. Martin. Beautiful scenery surrounded by palm trees and mountains. But what makes it so special is the owner and tennis pro Coach Oliver. He is an absolute master of his craft. I started seeing Oliver on my third (of now eight) annual visits to St. Martin. Each trip I have at least four coaching session. Each time I return to my Chicago home and play matches, I and my team mates notice an immediate improvement in tennis level. Getting better makes you want to get better! I highly recommend you contact American Tennis Academy if you're serious about tennis.

I have been visiting Oliver four times every annual visit, since 2019. Each time I see him, I leave the island much better than I came to it in terms of my Tennis. On this trip, we comprehensively worked on backhand, forehand, and serving. Oliver is amazing! As but one example, he is all the way across the net from me, and telling me that I moved my grip from where he wanted it! If you want to get your Tennis, to the next level, you need to go see Oliver and he will fix you up!

I am a 4.0 level tennis player who has taken many lessons from other professionals. I must say that Oliver is one of the best. He is a master of stroke mechanics. He broke down by forehand and backhand step-by-step and the changes resulted in much smoother and consistent strokes with less effort. Oliver is the ultimate professional. He was so passionate in improving my game that he added 30 minutes to two of our lessons at the end at no charge as well as canceling a local lesson with someone in order to add an additional lesson with me.

My husband and I give the American Tennis Academy (ATA) our highest recommendation. We bought a package of 10 lessons (my husband played from 8-9am and I played from 9-10am). As such, we still had the day to hit the beaches with our friends. Oliver is a stickler about technique but is also quite a character who makes the lessons a lot of fun despite his “stern” corrections. I grew up playing tennis (3.5 player) and just started back in earnest (after 35+ years) this past year. I was particularly surprised (and pleased) that Oliver made many corrections to my forehand, as during prior lessons, I’ve been told that my forehand is “perfect”. He also tweaked my serve and net play. His instruction was even more beneficial for my husband, who for the past 40 odd years had been a recreational player with a lifetime of bad habits. Oliver corrected his entire stroke from set up to follow through and he immediately found more consistency with less effort. We videotaped Oliver and ourselves, and took detailed notes use so that we don’t return to our preior bad habits. We were sad to say goodbye to Oliver at the end of our week in St. Martin but will come back for a “tune up” when we return to the island in 2 years.

Our three days of lessons here was a highlight of our trip! Oliver is an amazing coach for kids and adults alike. So knowledgeable and provides so much useful information for each person he teaches. The most beautiful backdrop for playing tennis as well. We’ll certainly be back!

Oliver's knowledge of the game is unsurpassed. He was able to address some glitches in my son's game and helped him become a ranking player. He has great patience and insight, perfect for players of all ages and levels His facility is well stocked. You can go there with no tennis equipment and be ready to play in a few minutes with rentals and the latest in tennis gear, clothing you can't buy in the States.

Wanted to get my daughter a few lessons - we stumbled upon this club and met the pro Oliver! Wow what an opportunity to have my daughter work with such an amazing pro. I myself am a former competitive player but also like to have others work with my daughter (the mom daughter thing doesn’t always work lol).
