    What to Expect
Make your way to the Pedro St. James National History Site, located outside of Savannah just 20 minutes from George Town. The site is open daily from 8:30am-4pm.

Once you arrive, you can opt to take a guided tour (departs every hour on the hour between 9am and 4pm) or do a self-guided tour on your own.

Guided tours (duration: about 2 hours) begin with a screening of the 3D movie detailing the site's history, followed by a detailed look at the property accompanied by commentary from a guide. The self-guided tour allows you to wander at your leisure and takes about an hour.

Regardless of how you explore you'll learn about the construction of 'Pedro Castle' more than two centuries ago and its iterations through the years, including turns as a jail, a restaurant, a courthouse, a cotton plantation, and the founding place of democracy in the Cayman Islands.

This is a shockingly interesting tour. The subject matter they have to work with is fine, but their presentation of it is phenomenal. I had little interest in the history of the Grand Cayman, but after this tour I was all in. They have invested...More

Ms. Trisha did an outstanding tour. She was extremely knowledgeable about St. Pedro, and the Caymans and their culture. She really took time to answer all our questions. We highly recommend the guided tour with Trisha...she was the best EVER! Terri and Dave

Pay the extra money for the guided tour. There are some very interesting facts about the house, furniture, building material and the wood used. It is a beautiful building. Great way to learn about Cayman history.
