        Enjoyable
Took the afternoon tour. Professional staff and many stingrays to interact with or feed. From there to the Barrier Reef snorkeling where we saw many corals and colorful fishes, an amazing experience. No question the local experienced captain was very helpful.

        All around great family experience
The Stingray stop was amazing! Our guides were very knowledgeable and helped us hold and feed the Stingrays. They took photos of each of us kissing the Stingrays and a family photo too! I highly recommend Captain Marvin’s for the best experience in all aspects of the tour. My daughter snorkeled for the very first time on this tour and she loved it. The guides are there to help you and give you the best experience possible! Starfish Point was fun, you could get in the water and hold the starfish. I can’t say enough good things about Captain Marvin’s!!

Great trip with Jordan, Prince, Kevin and Joyce.
Jordan, Kevin, Prince, and Joyce were great guides to see the sting rays. My daughter (17) and i went. Go early to avoid crowds. We did the 7:45 am trip. Two hours is perfect and you are back for lunch wherever you want to go. Boat was clean and nice. Kevin is a pro as is Prince with the rays. Do not think this is a scary thing. The rays are more like puppies. Enjoy! Joyce takes great pics. Please remember to tip the crew! And the price was very reasonable.

        Amazing Stingray and Starfish Tour
Captain Marvin came highly recommended. It was an amazing experience. The crew was amazing. They made you feel comfortable and welcome. Jordan, Prince, Kevin and Joyce were the best. Kevin was very patient during the stingray tour. He made sure everyone was comfortable with the stingrays. He was very knowledgeable. Joyce took some amazing pictures despite me being awkward with the stingray at first. Overall was the coolest thing I did while in the Caymans.

        Great experience and wonderful staff
Thank you so much for a beautiful day spent at Stingray city, starfish point and snorkeling. This was a great experience even for someone like me who do not know how to swim. I personally would like to thank the wonderful staff (Delroy, Jimbo, Mitchell and Joyce). I will definitely recommend this tour to family members and friends!!!

        Excellent tour with the family!
Fantastic tour for family! Stayed at the Westin and captain marvins was right across the street. Did the stingray, starfish, and snorkel tour with the family (children 7 and 10). Cost was a fraction of what the resort offered. The crew and staff were excellent. So much fun and perfect time. 3 hours total, short drive to boat dock. Spent about 30-40 minutes in each spot which was perfect. Highly recommended.

        A MUST DO
This excursion is a must do! The crew at Captain Marvin’s (Kevin, Polo, Jordan and Gauge) were amazing. This was our second time doing this excursion and it was even better than the first time (also booked with Captain Marvin). There were so many stingrays!! Beautiful boat transports you out and takes you back. The pictures Paparazzi Polo took were incredible!! Thanks guys for another great experience.

        Great trip
Keith and crew were excellent throughout the day. Water and juice on board to help yourself - plenty of snorkel gear and flippers to go round for everyone. Stingray City itself - I’m not sure I’m happy with hundreds of people invading the area every day and the stingrays being manhandled for photos. The snorkelling stop was amazing - we saw so many fish. The whole trip was really well run and I would recommend this company if you’re thinking of doing the trip to Stingray City

Amazing Tour! We saw so much in just a few hours and my family will never forget it. Captain Richard, Jesse, Jay, & Joyce were so friendly and communicative about each stop and really made it a great trip. Picked up some great pics as well. HIGHLY recommend while you’re in Grand Cayman.

You'll pay a little more than other tour operators, but you'll get far better experience. The boat for starters is quaint and not at all crowded (~15 people). The other boats however were jammed pack like sardines. My ten year old boy was quick to notice the difference. As for the snorkeling... amazing. Stingray City wasn't my favorite part for two personal reasons: 1) I wasn't particularly interested in being swarmed by a ton of stingrays and 2) the water was super rough that day. Again, that's a personal point: nothing to do with with the operators whom I'd strongly recommend!

I am writing this for others who might also experience a cancellation. After all, sometimes it is necessary and I feel like this review will help you if you experience it. Grand Cayman is a tender port. When we got on the tender boat in the morning, we had our snorkel gear complete with masks and fins. We also had sunscreen and towels with our camera equipment. After the tender took off, several mentioned their excursions were canceled due to high winds. We were so glad we did not have a cancellation notice because we were so excited for our trip. We unloaded our gear from the tender and went to the Captain Marvin's area just outside the port. We were there, with all our gear, two hours early but wanted to check in. When my husband went in, there were several employees there who told him it was canceled. We had no text...no email...no phone call. Because it was a tender port, we were stuck in port with all our gear. We tried to shop at a couple shops, but carrying the gear around was a hassle. We also had internet on the ship but not there. If we had been notified when it was canceled, we could have stayed on the ship and researched other options. We tried to ask the locals and did not get very far. As a result, we loaded our gear back on the tender boat and returned to the ship. Let me say straight out, I applaud any company that will take a financial loss for the safety of its customers. That is the reason for 3 stars. However, I was very disappointed that I never received any kind of notice from Captain Marvin's. It was obvious they knew it was canceled. If we had been told in a timely manner, it would have been so much easier for us to plan something else. Other excursion companies notified their customers, but we got nothing. So, if you book with this company, you might call ahead. We did not foresee this at all and it resulted in a lost opportunity for us. If winds are high, they do not do the excursion and you may not get told. As a result, before counting on them, I would research a back up option so that if your excursion is canceled, you know what is available and what there is to do.

We went on the Ol Boy boat at 10am for StingRay city and 2 snorkeling stops. Going in the off season of October (and on a day without cruise ships), Stingray City only had 2 other boats there at the time and crystal clear water with tons of rays to see. The crew did a great job. They took around 85 pictures of our family of 5 and it was just $80 US to purchase all. They do not offer a single photo purchase option but the entire package is based on the number in your group and is VERY reasonable (photos about 5x as much at the dolphin cove). We also got ample opportunity to feed the rays. Keep a close eye on smaller children during this part as the rays are quite heavy and get very close. Would do this again with Captain Marvin's group.

Incredible experience in large part due to the crew, the boat but especially the rays!!!
The 2 year old custom 46 ft. cruiser was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. The crew (Keith, Arthur and Polo) were professional, personable and constantly vigilant assuring client safety as well as protective of the sensitive environment. The stingrays were especially cooperative as the hands on experience was just as advertised and the photos will refresh one's memory of the adventure for years to come!!! We were a party of 8 and to a person this was the highlight of our 7 day Caribbean cruise.

My husband and I did this trip while on Grand Cayman and were quite pleased. I tend not to be a fan of tours and particularly the Stingray City type of mass experience. Even though there were about 20 boats full of people at Stingray City, it was still quite amazing to get to be in contact with the stingrays. They are amazing. It would have been even better if the focus of the crew hadn't been on having us pose for photos with the stingrays (to try to sell back to us at $40 per person, with a deal for a couple). I was more interested in learning about the stingrays and getting to hold one than simply to be photographed giving one a kiss. The snorkeling was amazing -- lots of fish and coral. And the crew was helpful. They suggested where we go and gave us lots of tips. I would have liked a bit longer to snorkel in each site.

We did this excursion during our Carnival Caribbean Cruise with our family, it was simple, we got off ship, then we walked less than 1/2 of a mile to Captain Marvin's, there we registered and signed our lives away, we hopped on a shuttle that brought us to a harbor, there we jumped on a boat with about 20 people. The assigned crew were very knowledgeable, easy to understand, and a bit humorous, they were actually fun. When we arrived to the stingray adventure, the water was crystal clear, the white sand was super soft, you could actually see your feet! I'd say the water was about 4 feet deep, there were lots of stingrays, along with all sorts of colorful fish. We spent a good amount of time doing this, we didn't feel rushed, and the nice part is that they take pictures for you, but of course they will offer you to purchase the microchip towards the end if your trip. All in all, it was a wonderful experience, I highly recommend this for any age, even if you can't swim, which my daughter in law couldn't swim, but she wasn't afraid to stand in the water with these amazing creatures. We also brought our 2 year old grand daughter, she was a bit confused on what she seeing, but she enjoyed the water very much. Thank you to the wonderful crew at Captain Marvin's Keith, Leo, Steve, and TJ, you guys did a great job.

This was one of the tours we booked before arranging on the island. Due to visiting in an off season and a day with no cruise ships we could have walked up but would advise to book in advance. Also, I would recommend going on a day when no cruise ships are in dock as the crowds are much less. You can check the schedule at the Cayman Port Authority website. If you are on a cruise, don’t let that statement disturb you as you are probably used to the crowds. The visit to stingray sandbar is probably the most popular attraction on the island and should not be missed. We did the Stingray plus two snorkel sites tour. We chose that because we had a rental car and later drove to starfish point. If you don’t have a rental or any other way to get to starfish point, I would recommend doing the stingray, snorkel, starfish point combination. As for the snorkel part, the reef snorkel was more impressive to me than the coral gardens spot, but both were good. Captain Marvin’s had all the snorkel gear you need but we brought our own. The tour last about three hours dock to dock with about twenty minutes at each spot, maybe a little longer at stingray sandbar. Our crew was Astor, Davie, and Jen (spelling not guaranteed). All were very nice and professional as well as entertaining. Jen was the photographer and provided pictures for purchase at the end of the cruise. Pictures were a bit pricey ($50US) but you are on vacation and in the Caymans! Cost of the tour was very worth it at $110 US for two of us. Again, we did this in September and on a day without cruise ship, so we only had about twenty people on a boat that would hold double that amount. Tips were not included in the original booking price, but there was a tip jar on the boat which were shared among the crew.

The stingray city experience was great, the crew did a fantastic job of interacting with the guests and they made sure everyone who wanted to experience the stingrays had an opportunity.

The only drawback was the photography. There was a photographer on board with an underwater camera, who took photos of all the guest interacting with the stingrays. You were given an opportunity to purchase the photos which then were supposed to be emailed to you.

I've purchased the photos and received an email link to Captain Marvin's Watersports website where the photos were located. I looked for the download button to save the photos I've purchased and were directed to a credit card authorization site. In other words you had to buy the photos again to be able to download them.

I've contacted the photographer through email and also the website and explained that I've already paid for these photos, however two weeks later, there has been no response from either one.

      Be ware of this scam!

Good day sir, My team is looking into this, we didn’t get to be one of the most successful businesses in the entire Caribbean over the past 72 years by scamming our repeat customer base for a few dollars. If you paid us for pictures you will most definitely get them or your money back. Please also email info@captainmarvins.com and give us the name you booked/paid for your photos under and say you’ve spoken with one of the owners on this matter. Meanwhile double check your junk email please. We will sort this out.

Our experience with Captain Marvin's was fantastic! We've been snorkeling and to String Ray City in the past on a private excursion that wasn't nearly as good and 10x the price. Our guides were awesome! One of the guys helped a woman who was terrified to get in the water get beyond her fear and see the beautiful fish for the first time. And on our way back in there was a small craft that had run out of gas that they stopped and towed in.
The only way it could have been better is if it would have lasted all day! We will most definitely be back and HIGHLY recommend Captain Marvin's! You won't be dissappointed.

Everything about this tour was well organized.
They picked us up at our hotel. The boat was so clean and equipment was efficiently distributed to participants. The staff was so helpful, kind and fun.
They took us to beautiful snorkeling locations, and they got everyone in our group to have individual time with the sting rays at Sting Ray City.
I highly recommend Captain Marvin’s tours.
