- kathleenp6650 contributionsFantasticWhat a great time we had. The crew was absolutely fantastic. The drinks just kept flowing. They were the best appetizers I have ever had on a sunset cruise. Our cruise was made special as we had a young gentleman propose to his lovely lady. It was so special. I would definitely recommend this cruise and would definitely do it again.Written 6 December 2024
- thomr5050 contributionsFantastic evening! We set out right round 5:00pm after safety instructions from the Captain “Big Tuna”. When we boarded, we were greeted with a glass of champagne that was easy to swallow. Then off we sailed. The seas were not glass smooth but 3 to 5ft waves at sea. This catamaran handle them with ease making it. Smooth and enjoyable ride. We sat on the rear of the ship as it sets out of the bay to Thea’s giving us a beautiful view of the sun beginning to set just above the islands gorgeous green hills. Shortly after getting out of the bay, the staff was providing glasses for our beverage of choice. The offerings were plentiful, beers, wines and spirits of all sorts…all included in the price of this adventure. We never ran out of drink the entire trip. Additionally, we had excellent hors’dourves from brochette to shrimp and meatballs and a dessert was also offered. Absolutely superb service from start to finish! All done by two staff and Big Tuna providing commentary of the surrounding sites, both in the ocean and in the skies! Excellent excursion that I highly recommend to anyone but to take advantage of the offerings, you need to meet the Virgin Islands minimum drinking age. I say “ Go for It”!!!Written 6 December 2024
- Troy C0 contributionsGreat Captain and CrewA beautiful cruise, fun people, great way to see the sunset. Fun bar on board and good snacks. Very nice Catamaran to sail on.Written 5 December 2024

Dawn, Mikey and Captain Tuna made the sail a truly unforgettable experience. They were professional, fun and overall fantastic. Our drinks were always full and the two hours felt like a full night out on the town :) it was a smooth ride, the snacks were tasty and the crew made it an anazing experience. Highly recommend for visitors and locals alike !Written 3 December 2024

- jennifertM7811OZ0 contributionsBest Snorkeling in VIWe’ve been snorkeling on several Caribbean islands and this was, by far, the best trip we’ve been on! We stopped at three different places around the St. John shore; the views and snorkeling were amazing! We saw sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, and numerous types of fish. Captain Stewart and Dave were phenomenal—no detail was missed. Thanks for a great day of memories!Written 27 November 2024

- BoardingPass7945870 contributionsGreat snorkel day!Captain Stewart and her mate, Dave worked really hard to be sure everyone had a good time. I've never seen so much work done by such a small crew. The snorkeling stops were well chosen, the food delicious and safety was taken seriously. The equipment was first rate. It's a long day but I'd highly recommend this trip.Written 26 November 2024
- 2013_SG0 contributionsBeautiful Sunset, Fun CruiseMy wife and I took the sunset cruise. Captain Big Tuna and crew were great. Beautiful sunset and lots of opportunities for great pictures. Lots of fun sailing through ocean and listening to some good music. Snacks were really good as well.Written 26 November 2024
- chriscF272PS0 contributionsGreat trips everyone will enjoy.Nov 2024. Cpt Danny Boy, Sean and Cpt De'Haden (I apologize if I spelled wrong) gave us a wonderful adventure snorkeling. This is our 4th adventure with this company. They do not disappoint. The sunset cruise or snorkeling adventure will be a great time. Our trip started a little breezy and choppy but the crew changed destinations to take us to a calm area to see turtles and lots of fish. Lunch was a pleasant spread, the best part is giving shrimp tails to the fish overboard. The painkillers are delicious and they have a good selection of other drinks. Highly recommend We will be back.Written 26 November 2024
- O3090XQcraigp0 contributionsMust do excursion aboard the Snorkel CatWe had Captain Dan as well as Capt. Dehaden and the lovely Dawn. Absolutely fantastic excursion. We saw a pod of dolphins enroute to our first of 2 snorkeling stops. Pay close attention to Capt. Dan s snorkeling instructions, this will help make your experience very enjoyable. This amazing crew treated us to great drinks and food throughout our sail. We got to swim with the sea turtles at our second stop at the beautiful Honeymoon beach. Highly recommended Much luv from the NH folks.Written 25 November 2024

While the idea of night kayaking seems to be pretty rad, we had an unfortunate turn of events happen that made our experience less than desirable. About half way out to the first area one of the couples began to take on water pretty heavily and because of the way that the kayaks are designed they don’t have a self-emptying feature, so whatever water gets in stays in. Because of the poor design of the boat the first couple was underwater pretty quickly, causing one of our guides to swim them back.
Normally this error could be the mistake of not angling the kayak correctly against the waves, but the day out was exceedingly choppy and we are still unsure why the go-ahead was given to go out. The waves got worse as we paddled deeper into the water and again we lost another couple due to their kayak taking on way too much water, and they had to paddle back halfway through the tour (none returned by the way, I imagine they were sent elsewhere unfulfilled due to the lack of extra watercraft).
My wife and I kept afloat with a couple of college girls in the other kayak for the most part until it was time to turn around. At that point the wind had picked up dramatically and my wife and I started to take on water. So we had to head back early, not getting to enjoy the sea creatures under the boat (All anyone saw out there was seaweed and sea urchins and the fin of a dolphin in an enclosure for Coral World, plus the lights were not as strong as they could have been).
We came back early (about 30 minutes before the tour was supposed to end) and they had rum, which I appreciated somewhat. They also said I would be contacted for a refund but that has yet to happen 3-days after the event (someone from margaritaville was supposed to call, not the guides).
On the plus side, and why I gave it a 3 instead of a 2, the two guides were really cool people. I really enjoyed getting to talk to them and listen to them talk about their story. They were really upfront with us about the whole situation and were very apologetic and accommodating for whatever we needed. I always enjoy interactions with real people. Also, the first half was really fun for us and a good lesson in teamwork.
Hope this review is helpful!

We showed up at 6 (like the tickets said), and were told we had to wait until 7, because it wasn’t dark yet. No big deal, but it could’ve been planned better. Our group was 3 adults, so we had 2 tandems. One person rode with the guide. The guide didn’t really seem to know where to take us, so we ended up milling around the boats in the harbor the whole time, staring at the sandy bottom. We didn’t see anything, other than a school of silver fish that swam under us. Otherwise it was just sand. It was pretty choppy and wavy, so it was lucky everyone in our group was very experienced at kayaking - it might have been a bit unsafe for an inexperienced group. The guide himself didn’t seem to be all that experienced at kayaking. We couldn’t hear him at all from the other boat, but the person who rode with him said at one point he asked her to steer, even though she was in the front of the boat. He didn’t share any fun facts or any information at all…it ended up just being a paddle out into the night and back. Two stars just for it being a nice warm windy night, but it was a pretty awkward birthday gift to give my dad.

Kayaking with an Island twist. The night sky is beautiful, and the ocean beneath you is a sight to see. Coral, sea urchins, several types of fish, and if your lucky an octopus! Our tour guide Edwardo was wonderful. He didn't simply guide us, he informed us on what to look for below and above us(planets, star signs, etc). He had several interesting historical info on the islands to share as well.
Overall, a great experience, money and time very well spent :)

Our experience is as really good. Bill was an excellent guide, really laid back and funny. We went around the Elysian hotel area, saw some fish and other sea creatures. The highlight of the trip was when he took us further away from the resort, into a pitch dark water, and se kayaked under a sky full of stars. Breathtaking and unique experience .

This tour was an amazing experience. I highly recommend it! Kai was our guide, and he was knowledgeable on the sea life as well as where to take us to try and see it. We saw many tarpon hunting, a turtle, and other small fish.

This was the worst activity that our family did all week. Our guides were 2 young girls, not sure of their name as they did not offer them. I thought they were also guests as well as when we walked up, they were taking pics by the sign. But no, they were taking us out.
They got the kayaks out and then went to get drinks for themselves at the bar as we put on our life jackets.
There were no instructions.
This was not a guided tour at all. They only told us they saw a crab and pointed out nothing. There was no history. Just paddled out and sat in the bay in the middle of all the moated sailboats.
The two of them paddled and drifted far away from our kayaks and they were taking selfies with each other! They were on FaceTime calls! I couldn’t believe it really. When we paddled in they only said “we work for tips so…”
They were on FaceTime and taking selfies and drinking their drinks from the bar! It was awful for my family! Would not recommend.

Shirvel was an absolutely fantastic guide. Our group had members who were kayaking for the first time, and her instructions were clear and concise. This was a great way to spend time with family and friends. We went out from Elysian Resort, and we were able to see St. John and St. Croix from where we were. The lights attracted Turpin and a few other small fish.

This was my first time kayaking on the ocean and at sunset. We didn’t get to see any marine life but it was still such a great experience. Ed and Matt were great guides. They were both very knowledgeable and friendly. I’d definitely do this again if I come back to the island. The rum punch at the end of the tour was a bonus as well.

1st time kayaking at night. Whether or not you have kayaked before, the guides are pleasant and accommodating. They give you a tutorial beforehand and also make sure you're paddling correctly, while in the ocean, to stay with the group. Between the sunset, the island history, the moonlight and the rum punch I was very pleased!
