- kaileyh9620 contributionsAmazing!!!As someone who doesn’t particularly like Hersey’s chocolate, or chocolate in general, I LOVED this chocolate!! It has a lovely texture and is not grossly sweet like other brands. You have to try it!Written 13 August 2024

- 17SharonS170 contributionsDon't Accept American Cash, No Tours AvailableCouple things I want to note for other people - 1. they do not accept American cash - every other place I have ever been in the Caribbean does, so that was a surprise. I was not able to buy anything because I don't carry my credit card off the cruise ship. 2. Toddlers are not allowed on the paid tour so I was not permitted to book in advance, but I was told there was a short walk through style tour we could do day of. When I got there in the morning, I was told those were all full for the entire day. For me, this was a waste of a walk. Hopefully it goes better for others.Written 21 February 2024
- wendicroft0 contributionsJust walked thruHusband and I just walked thru- not on a tour. We purchased and sampled a few delicious chocolates. We decided not to do a tour- but the chocolates were worth the stop and few bucks we spent on them.Written 6 August 2023
- martin0222140 contributionsFelt rushedThe women who worked there was rude and she rushed us out of the store. She kept asking us if we were going to buy something and telling us to hurry up. This place was overrated to say the least.Written 23 September 2022
- MeganWG0 contributionsEh......maybe the tour is good?!We stopped in as part of a tour on a cruise. We did not do the tour or the class; it was just a quick stop. I thought the chocolate was overpriced for what you got and the workers were not super friendly. We bough one small chocolate bar and two truffles and the bill was almost $15. I would have liked to do the tour, but there wasn't time. If you do not plan to take the tour or take a class, this is a skippable place unless you really love chocolate and don't mind paying a hefty priceWritten 25 July 2022
- Angela Z0 contributionsTour and Chocolate MakingWe did the factory tour and came back a few days later to do the chocolate making class. The tour was brief but went over the chocolate making process and took us into the factory where you got to see the stages of chocolate making and taste the white, milk, and dark chocolate from the machines. You also got to taste the raw beans (not great). When we returned for our class, our guide remembered us from the previous day. We each got to make 1 candy bar, 1 dipped marshmallow, and then cold use the extra chocolate any way we wanted (make cups and/or just eat with a spoon as my teens preferred to do). They provided a few toppings for the chocolate bar like sprinkles, coconut, and and broken up oreos. The kids loved the experience and chocolate was good. They even wrapped up the creations in beautiful take home boxes. Recommend if visiting with any aged child or chocolate lover.Written 9 January 2022
- Mkaup830 contributionsIf you like chocolate…We went to Graycliff Chocolatiers as part of our tour of Nassau. We went in, had to put on hair nets, and were brought into their factory. We learned about the process of how the chocolate was made from bean to finished product. We also were able to try the dark and milk chocolate from their machines. I’m usually a milk chocolate girl but the dark chocolate was really good! At the end we were allowed 1 sample from the show case and were offered a 10% discount as part of the tour.Written 24 November 2021

- Frank-in-SF0 contributionsQuick but Tasty Pit StopI only visited this shop for a minute or so, but I appreciated the free samples, which were delicious, especially the white chocolate.Written 2 November 2021
- rekabeimmik0 contributionsThink twiceThe chocolate is very good and the people are really nice but the 112.00 for 2 to make chocolate is not worth the money. First it really hard to understand the guide and was very unorganized. Hardly explain what we need to do and our chocolate got cold before he got back to finish helping us. We sample we a plastic knife. I am not one to give a bad review. I believe that if I don't have anything good to say say nothing. But this had to be one of the worst things that I have done in years. I hoping that they read this post and do something.Written 7 October 2021

- TippElle130 contributionsPart of tourWe stopped here as part of a tour, but didn’t actually get to do the tour of the chocolate factory. They do have some delicious/ different flavours but I found they were quite overpriced for what they wereWritten 1 July 2020
- bchrzan0 contributionsYummy chocolate but limited selectionVisited Graycliff Chocolatier while in Nassau on a cruise. Yes, I am a confirmed chocoholic, so am super picky about the taste and quality of chocolate. The shop is not huge, but they have a nice but limited assortment of items. They do give you a sample too. I brought home a dark chocolate bar, and was amazed at the complexity of the flavors. I also brought home some chocolate "sand-dollars" as gifts. The prices are kind of high here, but I guess you pay for the good quality. Interesting that when using a credit card they ask for an ID. Not sure what that is all about.Written 17 March 2020

Loved this tour. I think it was $54 a person. We ended up with a private tour because no one else signed up! Our tour guide was so nice. We got to try all three of their chocolates (white, dark, and milk), their dark chocolate before all the sugar was added, a coco bean, and then 2 of their best selling bon bons. We then got to make our own chocolate bar, two bon bons, chocolate covered oreo, and chocolate covered marshmallow. The Chocolate is soooooo good! Its just a short walk from the cruise ship port. I 100% recommend this to others.

Terrible tour guide. She did not explain anything well. She also was a bit rude.
I tried to cancel two tickets well in advance of our tour, that we had purchased. However, they said that we never tried calling. I called at least 4 times and have record of that. The other two fiends joining us were sick. The tickets costs $50/ticket. They didn’t allow us to make chocolate for the guests who couldn’t make it (who had a paid ticket). Do not waste your money here. Also the cooking area is a dump.

Ms. Stepanian - per our reply to your email after your activity requesting a refund...
you emailed the day prior to change the time of your experience but never mentioned there would be 2 less persons - had you done that at that time a refund would have been issued immediately... but now after the fact you're giving bad reviews and threatening us with your card company etc.
That is slander!
Sincerely,

Came here as part of a cruise ship tour. Staff is excellent, especially Shemar. He is an excellent guide. The tour was fun and the chocolate is awesome. You get to make your own chocolate bar! I highly recommend this place if you’re in Nassau.

Had a great time making chocolate. Had a brief background on how chocolate is made from plant to chocolate bar. Poured chocolate into molds and left over chocolate made chocolate drops. Only complaint is they should of provided molds to make other chocolate shapes instead of pouring leftovers onto cookie sheet. It’s a small operation and only sell locally... so don’t expect a big production...

The tour and chocolate making experience at Graycliff was something to do while in Nassau on our cruise. The tour guide was okay and the tour was fair. Making our chocolate could have been done at home, nothing memorable about it.

Maybe just a bad day, but no bus, waited in heat. Finally, a bus, a took short ride to chocolatier. Got inside and no one. We stood around for twenty minutes, then finally a nice young man showed up. Got coverings on head and gowns, and on to chocolate room.
Tasting good, the put at tables in another room. Four people were due for another tour, so guy took cookie and chocolate chips off one plate. Took tour guy 10 minutes to replace; we sat and waited. Finally, guy asked what type chocolate we wanted, and another 20 minute wait. Guide took those and 10 minutes later gave us cupcake paper molds and told we could make candies with ingredients. 20 later he took those to cooler. After 30-45 minutes more waiting, we were given our candies, which we made and a box and told to hurry to get to our bus.
Would have been fun, but ... a lot of antsy patrons and lots of waits. Too late to enjoy the port.

I waffled between 3 and 4 stars, but decided on 4 because the guide did his best and handled the situation really well, so kudos to him. My family toured the factory as part of a cruise to Nassau. The day we arrived, there were 5 other ships in port so the whole of the port area was a madhouse. Our tour started a bit late and then our bus didn't show up to take us to the factory, so we were left to wait in the heat for a bit. Whatever, it happens, especially when that many people are in port. We were finally packed onto a bus and taken to the factory. Our guide was great and we toured the "factory" consisting of a couple of rooms and were led into a classroom of sorts to make our own bar and cups. This is when the real problems started. There were 4 people in our group that were supposed to be on another tour that didn't include the tasting and they really weren't told that. They were fairly upset that it wasn't really explained and one of the idiots grabbed the bar ingredients (oreos, some coconut and some morsels on a plate) and ate them while walking out. This led to a delay while they set up another couple of plates of ingredients. Our guide seemed to be on his own and left to handle the entire tour by himself, which led to down time where the rest of us sat there staring at plates. When he returned, a couple of the guests had nut allergies (almonds were on the plates) and so another round of sitting while they dealt with them. The guide was great and nice and never seemed to lose his cool, but they just left him without assistance which was leading to a ton of down time for the rest of us. He returned and told us we could select one of 3 types of chocolate and then could make our treats. He then had to go and draw the product from the machines (there were 18 in our group, so if takes a bit of time...more down time) and returned and he then showed us how to do it. We did it in very little time and he then had to step away and get pans to go through the drying machine (more down time) and then get each pan in the drying machine (more down time) return to show us how to do the large cups (looked like the cups for over-sized Reese's) and we did that and then more down time while those dried (they were thicker and probably should've been done first as more time to dry/cool was needed) and when he returned, he had to build the boxes to transport the chocolate back to our ship (could've been done ahead of time) which took more time. By this time we were about 3 hours into a 1.5 hour tour and some of our party had dinner reservations and were needing to get back to the ship, so they rushed us out through the gift shop (no time to stop and shop) in order to get us to the port to get people to reservations. I do not fault the guide who was great, personable and doing his level best to keep things moving, but there was a real communications issue in letting us know what to expect and he needed to have support from his company to keep the guest engaged. That could really be something special and VERY lucrative if it had real leadership driving the guest experience. What was funny was several of us (Being managers and/or specialists in guest relations) were firing great ideas on ways they could improve the tour that didn't cost a thing but just had to do with managing people and time more effectively and we would've dropped more cash there. Also expecting chocolate packed in undersized cardboard boxes to survive the trip out in the 100 degree summer day was a bit unrealistic so when we finally got back to the ship, it was back to its liquid form until we got them in the fridges. Maybe some creative solution cooling solution for the chocolate or even just taking into account the environment in the packaging would be an idea so it looks like it did when you left because ours did not.

The tour was fun and you do get to taste a few different chocolates and make your own. My only problem really was there was no dedicated check-in spot and when we asked where to wait (since we arrived 15 min early as the email suggests), they just said "anywhere". As someone who likes to have a dedicated meeting spot for tours, it was a bit confusing and disappointing.

It was very interesting to learn about the history of the chocolate and to see it being made. The best part was tasting the diffrent chocolates they made. You get to make your own bar and it is a decent size.
I would have given it 5 stars. I like very dark chocolate. They let you taste it but not make your own bar from it and they don't sell it. 70% is the darkest they sell.

We were the only 2 participants with Doanna as our teacher and we all laughed so much. Fabulous time! Now that we are officially chocolatiers, we need to know what shift we will be on!
