The boat was nice, the room was lovely. The staff were friendly. The excursions were very busy and the food was objectively bad. With some better food this could be a top notch experience.

Let me start by saying Elite of the Seas is undoubtedly the Elite cruise of Halong Bay indeed. From the transfer from our hotel till checkout we were taken care of with undivided attention. The facilities and activities in the cruise were top notch. The food served was high quality and delicious. We stayed at the Executive suite and the experience was worth every penny. The main highlight of our experience was our Butler Quý (Alex). There are not enough stars in this review to rate him. He gave us his undivided attention and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. He went above and beyond each and every time. I could tell he was not doing this because it is his job but is coming from his heart and has a lot of passion and truth to it. The cruise manager David was also really helpful. He was checking in on us regularly to make sure everything is ok. I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone without blinking an eye. Looking to forward to comeback one day and do a longer trip in this cruise. 10/10 perfection ❤️

From pick-up to drop-off at the hotel, it was a beautiful experience. The English guide, Mr Tim smart and handsome Cruise Manager, was an amazing host, and his co-workers provided knowledge about the places and helped click photos and make videos. It is a fun environment, relaxing, and good for vacation. It would have not been an amazing experience without Mr Tim Cruise Manager.

Our recent cruise experience was extremely disappointing. Upon arrival, we discovered that our room—which was supposed to be the nicest on the ship—was in unacceptable condition. The room had leaks, a broken window covered with a metal plate, a damaged door, and plumbing issues in the bathroom sink. The staff explained that they knew the room wasn’t up to standard but allowed the agency to book it anyway due to high season. To address the leaks, the staff’s only solution was to place a plastic bottle on the ceiling and a towel on the floor. The other problems couldn’t be solved. To make matters worse, at night we saw many rats going in and out of the kitchen, as well as cockroaches in various areas. When we spoke to the staff about the rat problem, they told us it was “normal” and that they typically kill an average of 3-4 rats per day. Save to say I didn’t have breakfast or lunch next day. We had planned to stay for two nights, but we chose to leave the following day due to the poor conditions. Despite our early departure, we were offered a partial refund of less than 40% of the total amount for the unused night. The staff offered us one free drink asking in exchange not to leave a bad review. Wouldn’t come back. Wouldn’t recommend.

One of the worst Cruise services on Halong Bay! Pls ensure not to book ‘Le Journey Cruise’. The Boat is oldest in the lot and makes stepping sound all across. No music or fun activities in evening as was promised. Food is really Good BTW! The worst comes with their Manager. This guy called ‘Tim’ is a nightmare in name of hospitality industry. He misbehaves with most families- well of course till ur a westerner and he sees hope for $ tips. He fought with 3 of the Asian families and shouted at top of his voice. He literally didn’t take families for local sightings and left the boats. I wonder how this cheap fellow has managed to keep his job with such attitude. While all other Cruises were managing their guests professionally (making announcements, carrying flags for identification etc) ; this guy was behaving like he’s doing huge favor to us by taking us. Pls avoid Le Journey Cruise!

The trip itenary was well planned. The service and the food were excellent. The rooms were neat but with an additional extra bed, it was congested. The balcony was quite small too. The views however made up for these. Overall a good experience!

We had a real blast on this tour! Lunch was a culinary extravaganza—fried chicken, fried fish, and fried rolls, all served with the oh-so-exciting cucumber/carrot and cabbage salads. Who knew lunch could be this groundbreaking? The Amazing Cave? Oh, it was beyond amazing! Our tour guide, Chang, showcased her remarkable skill of identifying animal shapes in rocks. Because, of course, nature is just dying to entertain us! And how could we overlook the beach at Titov Island—definitely a highlight! Sure, it was a bit crowded, but those charming diesel fumes from the ferries really set the mood. What a thrill! Here are two oh-so-helpful tips: 1) Don’t forget to bring cash, because paying for each drink on the spot is just what everyone loves. 2) And when you arrive at the terminal, be sure to call your cruise contact—it's super busy, and of course, there are zero signs directing you to the cruise. Isn’t that convenient? What really made the tour unforgettable was the delightful opportunity to buy pearl jewels on board—straight from Halong Bay, and at prices that are just too good to pass up! Truly Deluxe Cruise.

Henry and Too gave us the best experience - we had beautiful Vietnamese food and learnt so much about this culture! We ate all things Vietnamese, they were very accomodating for a couple that had food intolerances, food was varied and exceptional in flavour and presentation! Thanks for a wonderful day! We finished off the experience at the train street watching the train go through!

Excellent excursions. Delicious food. Exquisite rooms- spacious. We had massage at the spa- very skilled masseuse. Loved the infinity pool. Morning Tai chi by Harry. Wonderful photos / videos by drone. We experienced all that was offered. Nothing felt rushed. Staff was excellent! Thank you to all the wonderful staff.

We had a group of 3 people, picked up from Halong Bay hotel. Pickup was on time and we were warmly welcomed on board by our generous host. We were ushered to out downstairs table to wait for the main group travelling down from Hanoi. Refreshing drink and towel while we waited. It was a smaller group due to recent typhoon (much damage still evident- office gone). Not long after starting out we were supplied with a fantastic lunch that was very diverse and plentiful. The staff even peeled our prawns for us - we felt spoiled. Lots of info supplied by our host and the cave trip, kayaking and hill hiking were great experiences. We even spotted some monkeys while kayaking. Afternoon tea on the way home while our host kept us amused and informed, even helping find best photo shots. The staff were great and the boat was wonderful and clean. Thanks

Such a picturesque place and what a wonderful way to experience Ha Long Bay. Kayaking, beach, caves! Great food. Helpful and friendly staff. Tai chi on the sundeck too! And the post dinner massage was brilliant. Only negative thing was the people flying drones right in front of our patio in the evening and again early in the morning when we were trying to enjoy a beautiful peaceful sunrise.

Our tour guide Luca was incredible - he was polite, informative and so accommodating. The itinerary is well set out and organised, and it was a day to remember.

This was an overall enjoyable experience but a few things were not as “5 star” as I expected. First of all, the staff and service was very good, including the shuttle to Ha Long Bay and back from Hanoi. However the food was mediocre at best for lunch while quality improved for dinner and the following day’s breakfast. Also the itinerary spots are beautiful but very crowded. The boat itself is pretty old and it can be seen in the furniture and just general ambiance of the boat. Our room had some mold and cob webs on the AC. Overall we still had a good time and for the price it’s a decent option for a Ha Long Bay cruise in my opinion if you’re able to overlook a few aesthetic things. I would recommend to bring snacks and waters though bc everything is charged extra if you don’t like the food.

We had a terrific 3 Days 2 Nights at The Elite of The Seas. We can not say enough good things about Tony and Peter they were fantastic. If all humanity would treat each other the way we were treated on this trip we would live in a better world. Entire staff was friendly and kind. The vessel and two nights were peaceful and relaxing.
