    San Sebastian del Oeste
    Stop: 3 hours -
Marvel at this beautiful remote village and the mountains carpeted in dense tropical vegetation. To arrive in San Sebastian del Oeste is to take a step back in time. This antiquated town dates back to 1605 and was made famous by its plentiful silver mines. Today, with only 600 inhabitants, there are scattered examples of its traditional colonial architecture merging with a colorful village square, quaint cobblestone roads, passing mules and a sleepy way of life far removed from the rest of the world. Your day includes a walking tour of the 18th century church, a silversmith workshop and an organic coffee farm. This expedition is not for the average tourist but for a traveler who seeks to find the real Mexico.

Our tour guide Juan Carlos was excellent! The tequila distillery visit was the first stop, but I didn’t mind going tequila tasting at 11 AM! The distillery is located in the most picturesque place and the maker is very detailed in explaining his process into making the tequila.

the trip did not start out well as van to pick us up was very late and then we were all transfered to another location and sorted into our vans. The ride is very winding and many people in the van were not well as the ride was very rough. We did stop at a tequila tasting but

The tour itself was good. Both the driver and guide did a great job, but spending several hours on a bouncy cramped uncomfortable dirty bus was not enjoyable. The windows had a sun protection film on them that was bubbled up and was hard to see out of. The seats were the worst.

This tour involved 1 1/2 hour drive each way. Was supposed to be 7 hours total but was longer resulting in late return to ship. Time wasted at bakery stop, tequila distillery, and coffee producer when combined with long lunch resulted in less than 45 minutes in actual town
