Overview
Travel from the coast to the mountains and back again aboard a specially designed Unimog all-wheel-drive truck on this off-road adventure from Puerto Vallarta, a great choice for nature lovers and first-time visitors. Discover the rich natural landscapes of the Sierra Madre mountain range without getting lost and visit a traditional Mexican village. That leaves just enough time for a hike through the jungle and lunch on the beach.
What to Expect
Meet your guide at a convenient central location in Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta and hop aboard a specially designed Unimog all-wheel-drive truck for your off-road adventure through the Sierra Madre mountains.
Splash through rivers and bounce along rugged terrain, as you travel deep into the heart of the Sierra Madre mountains. Take in the scenes of rural life and visit a traditional village to see how families grow and prepare their own food. Then stop by a family home for freshly prepared corn tortillas, beans, and homemade salsas.
Next, take a guided nature hike through the jungle to see native plants and wildlife. After your hike, travel back out to the coast for a beachside lunch. Enjoy a drink from the open bar, and then end your tour at the original meeting spot.

We had a great time on this excursion. It is a great way to see real Mexico. Our tour guide Rigo was very fun and entertaining. Making the traditional tacos was my highlight of this trip. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

On this tour, the food selection was limited and definitely with a cultural flare. If I had a special needs child who was picky, I would pack a few of his/her favorite snacks.

We got a taxi to Vallarta adventures near the marina and you get on the truck there. There is a small light breakfast and drinks if you arrive in plenty of time before the trip sets off
