Fabulous tour
Aug 2019 • Family
We enjoyed an evening of delicious food with our wonderful guide Paz. She is warm, friendly and very well informed about the cuisine and the area. It was great to be led through a variety of spots to eat, from restaurants to street food, culminating in a chocolate tasting and yummy dessert.

Some of the most amazing food I have ever eaten!
May 2019 • Family
The Mole & Pozole tour was delicious and fun, with a lovely guide who explained everything and answered all our questions. Doing it at 7 pm meant that we avoided the heat and sun of the afternoon. Our group (family ranging from mid 20s to early 90s) appreciated that.

Our first stop was a mole restaurant, where the owner's mother makes the mole from her home, cooking and simmering for days. The result is a deeply flavorful sauce with so many ingredients blended into an amazing whole. We tried two kinds, and they were both incredible: poblano sauce, with a deep flavor of unsweetened chocolate, and the pumpkin seed sauce. There was also a delicious side of corn, poblano peppers and onion in a creamy sauce.

Then we walked on the Malecon (which is like a boardwalk), stopping for esquites (cooked corn) in a cup. They add the toppings of your choice (including different kinds of chiles, parmesan cheese, and more). After that we went to a pozole restaurant, where the food included pozole soup (I got chicken) with a broth that was incredibly flavorful. You get a plate of toppings that you can add to the pozole - including radishes, onions, and hot sauces. The pozole had a great, succulent texture, and the toppings added crunch. There were more courses, too - make sure to go hungry!

I can't wait to go back and do another tour. They introduce you to the culture and the people in addition to the food, and the guides are a delight!

Mole, pozole, -- and more! Always more!
Feb 2019 • Solo
The thing about any tour with Vallarta Eats Food Tours -- visit the website, read what they offer, but know -- you're going to get more, often much more. World class mole, super flavorful restaurant (home style!) pozole, and more. Malecon snacks? Well, tour guide Racquel says Why not? Street corn? Porque no? Chocolate interest you? Well here we go. Great value, engaging guides, and don't forget -- more than you expected.

Frankie wins friends on food tour
Dec 2017 • Couples
The food in every place we went to was excellent and the service was great. The highlight though was Frankie. She made the tour with her history lessons, colourful annecdotes, friendly personality and local knowledge. She was such a delight!
