About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Sherpa278571751880 contributionsWonderful day trip!Excellent tour guide, Jorge was familiar with the area and had answers for all our questions. We really appreciated his knowledge of the area.Written 11 February 2025
- T3287LVvictora0 contributionsTaxi drivers are very agresiveEverything was great, eccept for the taxi driver, they were very agresive, they yelled at Us,they were mad because we wanted to take the busWritten 8 February 2025
- 116mimg0 contributionsA disappointing experienceThe trip itself was quite interesting. However there were a few issues. First was it was supposed to be 15 people in a van and instead 28 in a large bus. Our tour guide -Emma- was quite mediocre. Her English at times was hard to understand and she did not have good command of the group. She never said we will be here for xxx minutes and you need to be back at the bus. Either such a large group there were those who were late. In town, her explanations were minimal. The chic stop could be eliminated- no explanation about choc making, the amt of cocoa used, no engagement by staff- poor. Tequila experience quite interesting and well done. We have taken many such tours and this was among the poorest. Find some new guides!Written 7 February 2025
- Gordon F0 contributionsDay tourOur driver/guide Jorge was excellent. However, the vehicle was too small for four adults (one had to be a pretzel to get in and out of third row seat). The ten hours allotted to this excursion with six hours driving (we had expected four hours driving in total) left little time to tour the Mascota square and only 45 minutes instead of the three hours allotted to exploring Palma cathedral and square. A breakfast stop was provided but we were not offered a lunch as included in the description. Fortunately we didn’t stop at the bridge/gorge or at an agave farm or we would have had virtually no time in either town. What we did experience of the two towns was amazing but far too short.Written 7 February 2025

- thomasbpeterson0 contributionsDrunk Tour Guide Hurts RatingThis is a great way to see a lot of Puerto Vallarta in a day. I loved walking along the Malacon Beach Boardwalk and seeing the Cathedral. The tour took us up into the mountains for a coffee tasting at a local coffee roaster, as well as a great tequila tasting at a local distillery. Great tequila by the way, and lots of shots!! This was followed by a great lunch. I would have given this tour 5 stars if it were not for the fact that our tour guide got so drunk on the tour that he couldn't perform his duties. He had to have one of the photographers take down everyone's hotel for drop off. Something was lost in translation and they drove right by our hotel. Pretty soon, everyone but us had been dropped off. When the tour guide stumbled back to where we are sitting, we told him where we were staying. He slapped his head and said, "S@#t!" To their credit, another van soon showed up and we were transferred into that. They then dropped us off at our hotel. A five hour tour turned into a 7 and a half hour tour because the tour guide drank too much tequila.Written 30 January 2025
- Voyage013749230150 contributionsSan Sebastian tourGreat trip! Was a long day and a fair amount of walking. Lots of history. Recommend checking this tour if you want to learn about the village.Written 30 January 2025
- Seniorsmarttraveler0 contributionsLearning experienceWe planned this tour as a way to learn more about the countryside near Puerto Vallarta and in the state of Jalisco. Jorge, our guide was kind and was a native of one of the mountain villages. He gave us an overview of the vegetation, birds, and history of where we were going. Cesar our driver was safe and friendly. Visiting an artisanal tequila distillery was fun as was the coffee factory. Everything was well coordinated and professional. Gracias!Written 24 January 2025
- D2434YUkenp0 contributionsGreat experience. This tour was really fun! An opportunity to experience Mexico outside the tourist zone and to support some local businesses.Written 20 January 2025
- Q9460AWjamesh0 contributionsInteresting HistoryOur tour guide Erik was awesome. He gave small history lessons throughout the trip and the drive out there. He even stopped to get some jack fruit for us to try, which was interesting but good. Stop 1 was at a small roadside store where they made fresh pressed tortilla for us. The toppings were simple but good. (Lettuce, cheese, salsa, mexican caviar) Stop 2 was a stop at a local tequila distillery. We sampled 6 tequilas, which were all yummy. My wife even enjoyed a couple Stop 3 was a stop at an opel store, which was neat but a tad overpriced. Stop 4. we stopped at a coffee place that grows their own coffee beans. The vanilla chocolate was to die for. Finally, we stopped at the silver mining town San Sebastian, which was full of history and a neat church to visit. The meal we had there was tortillas with meat, rice, and mexican caviar. And a glazed piece of chicken. The meal was great. It would have been nice to have more time in town to adventure around, cause in the end there was only 30-40 minutes to see the town, which is not enough. San Sebastian would be a good half day trip to spend in the townWritten 19 January 2025
- Compass578400234300 contributionsGreat overview of PVR and outskirtsGreat experience. Provided a whole spectrum tour. Got picked up at the hotel. First stop was the chocolate factory downtown and the visit to the church was quite moving. Experienced both the upscale route and also the local traditional and lower income areas. Great caring tour guide. Nice stop on top of the mountain at a restaurant in the mountain.Written 18 January 2025
- Compass578400234300 contributionsAmazing terrainAmazing experience!!!! I'd do it again and again and again. From the ride to the destination this was well worth the trip. Didn't spend much time at the resort with so much to see. Great nature exploration.Written 17 January 2025
- V6443OLkristim0 contributionsDon't do this!!!We were told this was 5-6 hours long, and it was a tour of the city. It was 9 hours long, 3-4 hours longer than scheduled! We quickly realized this wasn't a city tour. We were taken to specific places to purchase leather, candy, tequila, and jewelry, and to eat at a restaurant. We were given one 30-minute "walk around" time and one "you have 15 minutes to walk the boardwalk to get on the bus." Other than that our time was controlled by the above shopping/restaurant. The restaurant we were taken to had a very narrow selection of 5-6 items and I don't see BBQ chicken, baked potato, and steamed cauliflower/broccoli as "authentic." We should have had a choice of restaurants or the meal should have been included in the price of the tour. When visitors to your city leave and this is the impression that you give, that your commission from these specific places is more important than showing off your city, your visitors feel scammed out of their vacation day, and thats the story they go home and tell others about.Written 15 January 2025
- Trail1844910 contributionsGreat TripGreat trip a full day. Omar, our guide was terrific very informative and funny. All the locations we visited were nice and very accommodating.Written 15 January 2025
- oliviamK9329BK0 contributionsBetter ways to spend vacationOur tour guide Juan had big opinions on capitalism and city developments that he could not let go of during the tour. We spent 9 hours (was supposed to be 6) "seeing the city" from our bus seat. We got a total of 35 minutes to walk around freely between 2 locations; the rest was time spent at shops where I am sure they earn a commission. What was supposed to be a downtown tour, ended about an hour and thirty minutes away on the side of a mountain with no service and crappy food that we felt we had to eat because we were starved for 7.5 hours with no other options. HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND, COMPLETE WASTE OF A DAY OF VACATION!!!! If you want to see downtown Puerto Vallarta, grab a taxi, go to the boardwalk, and walk around yourself.Written 13 January 2025

This was a nice tour our guide Adam was great and knowledgeable we walked the mailcon he talked about the history of the street and the purpose of the area.
We did a brief stop in the romantic zone and then off to a lunch in the mountains and tequila tasting
The stop in the romantic zone was at a jewelry store over priced and your trapped in there the sales people are pretty pushy but we have experienced worse other places.
The lunch was great and inexpensive for what you got.
The tequila tasting could have been avoided He talked as fast as he could and poured as fast as he could to get to the selling part.
Over all a great 1st tour of the area if you have not been to puerto Vallarta before if you know what to expect and are not easily parted with your money.

This tour was not as promoted. We were told transport would be a comfortable van and the hotel pick up was in a nice van but we were switched at the port into an uncomfortable large bus with dirty windows that rattled so much we thought they would fly out any minute. The driver had trouble with the gears and shifting giving us a lurching ride, which was very far out of PV, onto a dusty single track road. While the tequila was good, we didn’t see any type of production or agave farm, just went right to the tasting. IMO, it was just a way to get us to a location with only one food option which was overpriced, not hot when served and not well prepared. The coffee factory was a collection of small shops, one selling coffee. It was a long, uncomfortable day that would have been better spent at the resort. Better to skip it.

Don't waste your money! Absolutely the worst you visit overpriced jewelry shop, and you end up with a very overpriced lunch that is not included.

My husband and I took this tour today and it was great! We enjoyed Cesar and his partner both; I am so bad with names I can't remember the other gentleman's name. The tour was insightful and educational on the history of Puerto Vallarta. The coffee tasting was great but lunch and the tequila tasting was the best! I had so much fun that I left my wallet on the bus. The partner was so nice to bring it back to my hotel with all my credit cards, I.D. and money still in it!! I really appreciated the honesty and awesome customer service I received by this team. Take this tour, you will not be disappointed!!!
