    Puerto Vallarta
    Stop: 8 hours
We will arrive to the downtown area and go to the border walk “El Malecón”, where we will stop at the Sea Horse statue for a brief informational walk about the statues in the area as well as the symbols and important buildings such as: the Municipal Palace and the city’s main church Guadalupe, and main plaza. We will also give information about the city stores from the most popular to the most fancy & exclusive. The flee market will be waiting for you.  We will now head south of the bay, going through the residential zone (Costa de Oro & Conchas Chinas, Mirador de los Arcos) making brief stops for photographs and wonderful sightseeing. Our lasts stops will be a riverside restaurant and then a tequila factory to learn the process and elaboration of tequila & raicilla. Of course, a splendid invitation to taste one or all of these house liquors will be extended. Our staff of professional certified guides will lead the way on this "must-do-tour" of Puerto Vallarta.

Shopping tour, not City tours
Mar 2020 • Family
Forget that you will visit Puerto Vallarta. We only saw a piece of the promenade and the church. The rest of the trip was only related to shopping in friendly stores. First, a gift shop and a comment do not buy silver. Why? Because the next stop is ... a jewelry store (prices tourist earrings with opal size about 1.5cm -7500 pesos. Then a leather goods store (strap prices only $ 25) Then drive to the distillery and show you one agawa and distillation barrels. Then you will try Tequila and what .... shopping ( 0.5l bottle of liqueur-29dollars) Then dinner in a friend's Mexican restaurant (no Mexican food), then you can buy Mexican ceramics or a cover. End of trip. Return to hotel

Avoid this Company
Feb 2020
This was to be a full day city tour. We were picked up at our resort, north of the city, at 7:45 am but by the time we stopped at numerous other resorts, picking up and dropping off for other tours, we didn’t actually start our city tour until 10:30 am.

Gracias Adan!
Dec 2019
I love reading reviews, so when I began planning our trip to Puerto Vallarta Trip Advisor was very helpful. I read about so many things prior to us heading out.

I wanted us to do a tour within the first day or two of us getting into town, so I began reading a bunch on City tours. I have to say some of them made me a little nervous, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a great day!

We were picked up at our resort a little late, but that was okay because we were on vacation and planned to be on the tour all day. Our tour guide Adan made it fun. He had a great personality and was funny. Our group was about 18, which made things nice. Again there is only so much you can do in one day with a good size group anyway.

Adan gave a little history on various things, explained where we were going and kept things tight. The view alone was amazing. The tequila distillery presentation and tasting were fun. The food was SPECTACULAR!!!

Gracias Adan para todo!

The best tour and great history!
Dec 2019 • Friends
Renato Ruiz was our guide and Danny boy was our driver and they were the best of all my tours! The history he gave regarding Puerto Vallarta and his humor were top notch. We are so blessed to get the full feel of Puerto Vallerta! The lunch in the mountains was delicious!

Did not meet expectations
Nov 2019
Miguel was our guide. Extremely knowledgeable, polite, interesting and funny. From our perspective the jewellery store and flea market stops were just a waste of time. Would have preferred to use this time on the Malecon which was too short. The Tequila Experience was entertaining and thee lunch there was good. A nice stop to see the arcos.

The back seats of the tour van were elevated which made it more difficult to see out the windows. With different priorities this could have been a great tour.

Second Honeymoon
Aug 2019 • Couples
For the first time in twenty years my husband and I went on a vacation without our now adult children. Sr Miguel and Vallentino made our day trip a wonderful success. Our elite host introduced us to Riveria Tours for a private tour. The day was filled with personal history and photos of a gorgeous small town grown into one of the friendliest towns on the planet. I would recommend them ... And ask for Sr Miguel!

Fantastic Tour Guide and Great Stops Along The Way
Feb 2019 • Solo
A nice tour of Puerto Vallarta that included a little of everything: walking downtown and learning about the history of the city, visiting a jewelry store, stopping by a coffee plantation, having a relaxing and delicious lunch, and finishing strong at the Tequila distillery.

The tour would not have been half as fun without our fantastic tour guide, Mr. Renato Ruiz. His vast knowledge of the area and ability to communicate clearly added great value to this activity.

I strongly recommend Riviera Tours & Transfers, particularly Mr. Renato Ruiz.

Many thanks and until next time!

A COMPLETE SCAM AND WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY
May 2019 • Family
I had an identical experience as the other reviewer however, I was given this tour by my expensive all inclusive hotel (MARIVAL RESIDENCES) as one of the free tours I could get for staying at least a week. I was NOT told that lunch was not included. We were picked up in a very nice large van only to be transferred to a smaller piece of junk bumpy van at their "headquarters" (a place where they park their cars on a street somewhere outside of PV) where we picked up two more passengers. We were six in all. The ride was very bumpy and long and we stopped at least 3 times for unknown reasons at the side of the highway. We were eventually taken to the Malecon where we spent about 10 minutes, walked to the church and then we were taken to a jewellery store that apparently was one of the only one selling authentic silver. Clearly the tour company gets a kickback from this very unimpressive store. Then we were dropped off at a souvenir street again in front of a candy store where we it was suggested that we enter and scour for treats. We were allowed 30 minutes of shopping on this very mundane strip and then back in the van where we were then transported south of the city to a Tequilla store in the hills above Mesmaloya Beach. The expectation was to tour this store and buy their overpriced vanilla, tequilla, clothing and jewellery. I know it was overpriced as I just bought vanilla and hot sauce, both in the market for 25% of what they were selling it for at this remote tequilla store. We were then driven a block up the street to the "finest" restaurant in Mesmaloya. The restaurant is a joke - El Patio Restaurant. It was empty and sketchy. Presuming lunch was included I stayed on the safe side and ordered a beer in a bottle that I was able to properly clean before drinking. We were given a physical show of the seafood they had on offer, but NO MENU. That should have been a big red flag. My daughter has seafood allergies and I think I was assured that their chicken was cooked on a different grill - we ordered the chicken fajitas. It was the dryest, most tasteless chicken I've ever had. No condiments served to help choke it down. I did not eat the sketchy "salad" that came with it. I was then presented with an outrageous 660 peso bill for that ridiculous lunch that was to be included in my tour. Had I seen a menu with prices, and been told that this captive meal was not included, I would have declined eating anything. I refused to pay the bill and was threatened with having the police called, I very reluctantly paid the bill so that the tour bus would leave (yes, Carlos the guide was in on this scam of course). THIS IS NOT A TOUR OF P.V. - IT IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR DAY IN PV AND WHATEVER YOU PAID FOR THE TOUR AND WILL PAY FOR THAT HORRIBLE LUNCH. Oh, and don't think you'll even see Mesmaloya Beach. Nada.
