- brendagP5053CC0 contributionsRefreshing natural pools, River day at Rancho Las Pilas RestaurantIf youre looking for a perfect day in nature, mountains and natural pools at the river this tour is just PERFECT. We went with Unique ATV to Rancho Las Pilas, a restaurant open to the public and had the best day, delicious food, drinks and refreshing river water to swim. Written 10 June 2024
- markmD9090AV0 contributionsScammersStay away from this company. We took our whole extended family (11 total) and paid months in advance. The week of the event, we cancelled one rider but did not request a refund for that person. We went on the ride and it was Ok. When we returned to the office after the ride to retrieve our credit card that they require for incidentals, they refused to return my credit card until I payed additional charges. They told me that they made a mistake and undercharged for the group. I will never return to this company. Typical Mexico dishonest scammers.Written 31 May 2024
- kellidh0 contributionsOutstanding Decision in PVToday's adventure was fun, well-organized, and everything that we anticipated! We met at Unique ATV Tours for 9:30 AM and checked in, which was seamless. Our group was greeted by Moises who explained the tour to us in both Spanish and English. We were assigned our ATVs and off we went ("This is a tour and not a race..." was wise advice, as the roads are bumpy, and sometimes narrow). The views were outstanding as we made our way through small villages to a beautiful waterfall where we swam. It was unbelievably refreshing. Following that, we traveled to our next stop, which was THE MOST FUN tequila tasting event. We bought a few yummy bottles as we left. On to the restaurant for lunch. It was delicious and the portions were quite large. We over ordered so if you have a regular size appetite, you might want to consider sharing a dish. We made our way back after that, with everyone in our group feeling happy and satisfied! Gracias to Unique AVT's team!Written 28 February 2024
- EJSimms0 contributionsLacking in actual drivingThis is the third razor tour we have done and we were disappointed with this company. While the staff and machines were ok, the tour itself was not. We spent more time stopping for tequila tasting (45 minutes) and at a restaurant/ swimming hole (1 hour) than we did driving the razors. The tequila tasting was definitely not family friendly! I do not recommend this company.Written 10 January 2024
- rsd0820170 contributionsMeh. Not a fan.Not the best. My husband enjoyed driving the ATV. It sucked to be a passenger. If you want to drive with more than one person, spend the extra money and get the side-by-side. It really felt unsafe to me when part of our route was along a busy highway. They ended up taking us to a tequila tasting and a small restaurant along the way of the tour. We are pretty sure we both got Montezuma‘s revenge from ice blended drinks at the tequila tasting. we spent the entire day yesterday in our room very very ill.Written 28 December 2023

- simon40590 contributionsSTAY AWAY - Find a better tour companyVile, none caring company, I wish I’d read their many poor reviews pre-booking, they cheap Chinese coping ATVs, they charge you for any small of damage caused (bearing in mind you are driving off-road) they do not offer cruise ship pick up and if you cannot make the tour due to illness are totally unfair and keep 100% of the tour cost (we would have been happy with 50% as that would have been fair, but it’s fine, keep all of it, I want to share my honest experience). Find another tour company.Written 16 November 2023

- emilykB7833IG0 contributionsUnderwhelmed and disappointedThis tour is misleading. Like others have mentioned, you’re only ATVing about 20% of the time. You leave from Unique’s office in PV and ATV up the main roads and then dirt roads for a bit before stopping off at a restaurant and “waterfall”. The waterfall looks like it was just blocked off with cement. It also doesn’t look like a place you’d want to swim. You spend 20-30 minutes there before ATVing 5 more mins to a “tequila tasting”. This is really just a tiny sample of some tequila and they will sell you drinks if you want one. You then ATV 5 more minutes to a restaurant where you spend too much time with little to do unless you’re going to spend money to eat. Not much to do at any of these stops really. We thought this would be an ATVing experience rather than a stopping and waiting experience so we were very underwhelmed and bored, especially given the price. If you want off roading and adventure don’t pick this tour.Written 17 February 2023
- 951madir0 contributionsWaste of MoneyFirst off, this is the first review I have given to any company ever. I have had bad experiences before, but I truly believe I should take the time out of my day when it comes to these guys. This was truly a disappointment because when you are a tourist, you see ATV off roading adventure, you think of taking an off road vehicle and doing just that. These guys are very misleading. You spend more time staying put doing the “tequila tasting” when all they do is try to sell you the tequila. The next stop is the river where once again you stop the vehicle and wait. There is 20 minutes to swim in the river then after that you ride the vehicle around 4 minutes from where you came from. The last destination is another restaurant. The entire thing truly felt like a sight seeing, lousy restaurant, and river tour. I am not exaggerating when I say that 85% of the tour was spent not off-roading but just sitting and having the company make you waste more money. Of the 15% off-roading, I would not even consider it that due to the majority of the drive being on a literal highway. A small portion of it was actual dirt. The whole advertisement of the tour is misleading. It leaves disappointment in the people that think they are going to get a genuine off road experience. Seriously, not worth the money spent. I know I am not the only one who had a problem with this experience because many other comment also expressed anger about the same things. Save your money or look for a real off road experience. Of course, to each their own. A lot of people it would be enough but for individuals who are looking for real off-roading experience without 80% of the time wasted on tourist traps it would be better to look for another company.Written 3 January 2023

- bbcoach7770 contributionsFun ATV, scammed Tequila tasting with Buggy BoardWe used this tour for a wedding group in Feb this year and there were about 20 of us. This gets a 3 star based on only the ATV Portion and the nice staff. The ATV portion was great and touring through a small town outside of PV. The ziplines were cheap, the equipment was a border line safe hazard, but again the staff there were nice. Our main issue is with the tequila tasting company and the place they bring everyone. This was Destileria Buggy Board. We pulled up, the staff there was nice, the dogs were adorable and the location was great. WE ALL GOT CHARMED & SCAMMED. I’m sure off the wedding group ALONE they made $3,000 usd off us so that we all wanted to have a momento Tequila bottles to bring home from celebrating our friends. Now 6-9 months later, several of us have starting opening these bottles to only find flavored water and almost a rubbing alcohol taste. I messaged them and no response. While I understand it’s Mexico and these are the risks, I want others to know about what happened to us to prevent you being scammed as well. Here are some pictures from that day and I removed some faces.Written 6 November 2022

It seems as though the trip for couples and groups with three or more took different trips. The ‘jungle’ was a trip on the main road followed by a long dusty road to a restaurant with the most beautiful surroundings you’ve ever seen, but it was just a trip on the dusty road to the restaurant. After that it was another dusty road yo the tequila factory where they give you numerous shots, pressure you to buy, and then back to the starting point. It sounded like the three or more trip was much more interesting and fun than this one. Highly disappointed

Worst trip ever. Just a boring ride on the highway and a dirt road, no driving through rivers as advertised. A stop at a tequila place where a guy just trying to sell his tequila, another stop at a waterfall and then a totally unnecessary third stop at another restaurant where the tour company obviously gets a kick back. Waste of a day! Waste of money and time. You will get dusty for nothing and it’s just a trip to restaurants!! Very disappointed as we ended up eating at the terrible restaurant anyway for something to do as you stop there for 45 mins . Absolute garbage.

Even though it was DUSTY, we had a GREAT time! We drove through the streets of PV (a little scary at times, but the guys kept us safe) and then up the mountain. It wasn't as pretty as I'd hoped, but there were definitely moments of wow. We went in the dry season, so no splashing or raging rives. I was glad for that. The staff was great and the place we stopped to eat was DELICIOUS!

My daughter (8yo) & I had so much fun doing this excursion. The guides were amazing & so nice & helpful! I rented the side by side for the two of us, and we went in a pretty big group but had enough guides with to help if there were any issues. They had photographers along the ride taking our pictures which was awesome too. They offer a USB for approx $80 USD.
We had 2 stops, first was a tequila tasting & it was great. The bar is a cash bar so bring pesos/cash. They do have decent bathrooms and that was nice too. Next stop was another bar & restaurant where there was a swimming area and the waterfall. I packed us snacks and bottled water in a backpack. There was a 3rd stop for a restaurant with food but because we had already brought our own, so we left with the other half of the group and headed back. It was super dusty, but they give you bandanas to cover your nose and face, along with goggles and helmets. Be prepared to get dirty. It was loads of fun. Highly recommend!

What a fun adventure. I did not know what to expect when we started in the middle of the city, but cruising through the streets was so much fun. The guides did a great job directing traffic and keeping everyone safe. Once we got to our first stop, the view was breathtaking. Bring swimsuits and maybe some bug spray for that first stop. The Tequila tasting was delicious and we ate lunch at our final stop. Finally, I would recommend the pictures to document your trip. This excursion was a great value and an unforgettable experience.

Learned about this tour on the beach after getting off the ship… seemed pretty expensive at first, but was able to negotiate a different price… after taking a short taxi ride to get to our side by sides, we were immediately rushed into signing and let’s go. I had to review all the paperwork, no instructions given on the machines, no assistance getting ready… just hurry hurry hurry! OH BTW, I had to leave my debit card at the office, felt VERY unsafe with that.
Once on the road we were caravanned through town at a high rate of speed, zooming in and out of traffic… felt very unsafe doing this as we have never driven in Mexico. If you slowed down, they came back and yelled to speed up. No time to stop and take pictures of all the amazing sites… passed beautiful waterfalls and picturesque mountains… was never told that we were gonna cross rivers and mud… ruined a shirt… we raced up the mountain, turned around and went to a pay to eat restaurant… beautiful location, mediocre food. Very expensive. Spent about an hour total here and then it was back to hurry hurry.
After leaving there you take a short drive to a tequila tasting event… not for kids… no non alcoholic substitutes (no water no nothing) although senior Duran was a lot of fun…. After all your shots of tequila it’s time to get back on the road and race through traffic again. Cruising through the small streets with traffic, pedestrians, and animals crossing the road, you better not slow down because they will tell you to hurry up, you’re going too slow…
This was a beautiful excursion, however Unique ATV Was not the best company to go with.

This ended up being more of a drive-through the streets of Puerto Vallarta to get to a dusty road that takes you along the small river. You spent 25 minutes getting to a restaurant at the top of the hill where you’re told they’re going to stop for one hour. Then you get back into your side-by-side, ATV and drive 11 minutes down the mountain to a tequila tasting promotional/sales pitch. Another 45 minute stop; then you then head back into town and drop off the razor. Over half the time was spent trying to sell you something I would never do this again.

Non-stop asking for more money. $200 for 4 people In one vehicle. There were 15 vehicles in total for our group. When we checked in, they charged us an additional 5%. They also made me leave my credit card at the office for the duration of the trip. They took pictures throughout which we were excited for except for when they told us it was US$90 add on. I asked other people in the group and they were charged the same. Lunch we paid for on our own, but they added a 20% tip without asking and said it was a requirement of the tour company. When we got back, the drivers told the tour that they only get paid in tips and one driver followed me around asking me for money saying, “I kept your family safe, I should get money for that. . . Vacations cost money. . . You would pay way more in Disneyland.”
So many red flags. I with they would have given us the real number upfront instead of asking us for more money throughout the experience. I have been on another tour with another company and this was NO comparison. Big mistake to go with this company.

Our first experience with this adventure was fantastic, and as a family of four, we found it to be well-organized, punctual, and mindful of safety precautions, including the provision of helmets, goggles, and bandanas. As we journeyed through the city streets, our guides provided instructions and ensured our safety at every turn. The adventure took an exciting turn as we ventured onto dusty and muddy trails, offering us a thrilling ATV ride experience. We took the first stop at a picturesque waterfall, where we had the option to either take a refreshing dip or indulge in tequila tasting and snacks at a nearby shop. We also enjoyed a delightful lunch at a local restaurant during our second stop before making our way back. The experience was enjoyed by our family. A word of advice: prepare for dust - it's best to wear clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty.

What an incredible experience. My husband and I were in a Can-Am that took us from the city along the coast, up into the jungle to a remote location where we were able to jump into fresh water and explore a part of PV we never would’ve found. So much fun and Alex and Cesar made it an amazing experience. Highly highly recommend! Things to note, you do get pretty dusty when the Can-Ams are off road so don’t wear your nicest clothing, being a bathing suit to get in the water and bring cash for when you stop (drinks, food and a tequila tasting are stops along the way)!!
