About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Kay S0 contributionsSAN SEBASTIANYesterday we took the San Sebastian tour with Miguel and his driver Omar. We all enjoyed it immensely. Miguel was very knowledgeable sharing information the whole way. Omar was a great driver and we all felt very safe. We all loved the lunch and there was lots of it. For sure we will recommend this tour our friends and family. Thanks again Miguel and Omar from your Canadian Friends, Kay, Irene and DarleneWritten 21 February 2025
- Guide552728342260 contributionsCity Tour Puerto VallartaThe tour and information was second to none. We have been to PV many times and learned so much on this tour. Fantastic value for your money. Thanks again to our tour guide, driver and our host for lunch ! Hats off to Miguel!Written 5 February 2025
- belgbl10 contributionsBeautiful day in the mountain town of San SebastiánMy rating would have been 5 if four of us had not been crammed into the very back of the van for a nearly 2 hr ride into the mountain town. We could not fully hear our guide and we were very hot and uncomfortable. For me, not sitting by a window, I could see nothing of the countryside. The seats should NOT be considered as seats at all! The coffee plantation along the way was interesting but the baked goods were, unfortunately, not very tasty. The history was interesting and I bought baked goods to support the remaining sweet family members. The tequilla stop was nice and the tequilla was very good. Our lunch was good and seemed to be authentic—corn tortillas, chicken mole, muchaca, rice, and beans were all quite tasty and included in the price of the tour. Strolling the town was even more interesting due to the San Sebastián celebration…a lovely 16 yo girl explained in detail the weaving process on her family’s loom-very interesting. Our guide was Miguel, and I believe our very good driver was Luis. Miguel offered much interesting info and is a Mexican who is very proud of his beautiful country..other than the uncomfortable drive the tour was very much worth taking!Written 21 January 2025
- Roxana B0 contributionsTwo different Mexican townsExcellent tour! Miguel (guide) and Arturo (driver) are both very nice. We had a tequila tasting, we learned a lot. It was interesting to visit San Pancho and Sayulita. Our family had lunch in Sayulita. Good Mexican food at a good price. They are both interesting towns, very unique. It is a great day tour if you are in the area.Written 12 December 2024
- renevB9447JW0 contributionsSan Sabastian: Thank You Miguel (Tour Guide) & Daniel (Driver)Last Wednesday my wife and I had the privilege of having taken a tour to San Sebastian del Oestre. I say privilege because, our tour guide, Miguel, not only provided detailed information throughout the excursion, but gave us a history of Mexico. In addition to a trip to the silver mining town, we also stopped a local jewelry store where I was able to purchase a Mexican opal for the wife. We had a wonderful lunch in town that was part of the tour. We also had the opportunity to stop at a family-owned taquilla distiller. Although we got to taste the varieties of taquilla, we unfortunately were unable to purchase any because we only had carry-ons and not check-in bags. I also want to acknowledge our very fine driver, Daniel, who was an exceptional and safe driver. We strongly recommend you take this tour. I know the next time I return to Puerto Vallarta, I will schedule another tour with Riviera Tours.Written 21 November 2024
- loidaa6960 contributionsCity tourMiguel and Jorge were exceptionally good in guiding and giving us city tour. Very knowledgeable and Jorge is a very good driver. Highly recommended.Written 19 November 2024
- Inspire440889231560 contributionsSan Sebastian TourWarmest people, beautiful location, and tequila. Ask for Signor Miguel Delgadillo, the tour guide. He will keep you safe, well hydrated, well fed, and entertained. Highly recommended.Written 19 October 2024
- FrequentTraveller0340 contributionsHistorical OK TourThe best part of the tour was the guide, David. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Kind of a grandfatherly type. The van was not comfortable because of very limited legroom. The air conditioning was adequate, however. There was not a lot to see in San Sebastian, although David really tried to give as much detail as possible on its history. The lunch was just OK, simple Mexican fare and nothing special. Plan appropriately because the lunch is not scheduled before 2 PM. The stops were average, the best being the delightful tequila distillery. There was not much to see at the coffee place, but bags of their coffee were reasonably priced. The jewelry shop was very expensive and the chocolate shop was a bust- not much selection and we were unable to see the chocolate making process I guess because of the late afternoon.Written 3 October 2024

- Y141YVsteveo0 contributionsSave yourself the trouble, you can gi yourself a better self guided day tour of the city. This tour is very mediocre. you can actually give yourself a better tour of the board walk by exploring it at your own pace and take pictures at your own pace. Trying to get pictures of the big "Puerto Vallarta" attraction is next to impossible in a large group The bathroom break at the local government building is just uugh!!; Very dirty bathrooms. Then the walk to the Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church is one you can do on your own. They skip all the restaurants on the boardwalk to drive you miles away into a secluded corner for lunch where they claim you get the freshest sea food and chicken in town but be prepared to break the bank here. It is too expensive for what you get. BTW internet is spotty so if you plan to pay by card, be ready for some awkward situations. Card payments won't work if internet is down (which you get told about in the long bus trip there). Then over to the Tequilla distillery right across and boy oh boy! they see tourists and $$$$. You get a BS presentation and some sampling and then all they want to do is SELL!!!. Its definately not worth the $30 per person. If you have to go, skip the lunch and carry snacks to keep you going till you get back to your hotel. You'd be best served spending the lunch $$$ at the hotel for dinner. I'll give two dots as a courtesy to the guide.Written 28 August 2024
- shirleypD8122IZ0 contributionsGreat relaxing city tour tripDriver is excellent 5 start, and pleasant tour guide is pleasant and 5 star. However, we only went to 3 places: silver, leather, and candy store where we spent 25 min in each store. No other stores allowed for us to wander off to even when we were not interested in that store.Written 11 August 2024
- Departure4348230 contributionsGreat TourGreat trip. Miguel is a good guide and Felipe was an excellent driver. Very detailed explanation of the city. Went above and beyond our expectations. The cost was worth it.Written 7 August 2024
- LizaDelMundo0 contributionsMalecon Walk and lunchThe tour overall was good! Adam/Adan was great, he was very engaging and fun. The Malecon walk was short but okay. The scenic ride to lunch and tequila tasting was great, good food too. Pro tip: if you're a foodie, skip the lunch option and order food directly from the restaurant, much more yummy options, but if you're a quickie, the lunch option included is okay as well. Thumps up! Keep it up.Written 7 August 2024
- ericmK6888EW0 contributionsThe Best Puerto Vallarta City Tour and Tequila TastingWhen participating in the “City Tour” please try and get Afonso as your guide. A wonderful man and a wealth of knowledge about Puerto Vallarta and Mexico as a whole 😊Written 16 July 2024
- shasher_720 contributionsShould be named “Sponsored Shopping Trip”Three families, strangers at the start of the day, bonded over our shared disappointment from Riviera TT “City Tour” (aka sponsored shopping trip with mandatory stops at a jewelry, leather, and tequila store). We only had 15 minutes in actual Puerto Vallarta Malecon and shopping area… You had to be quick with your camera if you wanted a peek of the beach on the hwy drive to the Tequila place & restaurant, no slowing down or stops along the way! Turning lemons into lemonade, we ended the day with our own adventure, sharing street tacos in an alleyway. The restaurant they chose for us was more $$ we didn’t want to spend. I felt bad for the family with 3 young kids in tow - they were told that lunch was included, which it wasn’t. We made the best out of this #TourFail #PuertoVallartaWritten 3 July 2024
