First, Pedro is not just a "Tequila Master" but has a master's degree in Tequila production, so there was no question too obscure or detail too small that Pedro couldn't answer. I'm not a Tequila drinker, but I found a new favorite spirit at the Cava de Oro distillery (the Extra Anejo is like a smooth smokey whiskey). Cutting the Blue Agave and learning everything about Tequila making was fascinating, and strolling around the town of Tequila was a blast. It's not the least expensive tour for sure, but an entire day with the amazing Pedro guiding us from an amazing local breakfast to tasting more tequila than I ever thought possible to watching the bartenders at Cantaritos El Guero do their thing at sunset, it was worth every penny!

Fun day. Experienced and very knowledgeable guide. We did it as a private group so we could go at our own pace. We learnt a lot about tequila. Our group enjoyed it.

Spectacular experience that we will never forget. Our Tequila Master picked us up at our Airbnb at 9 am sharp. At the start of the drive from Guadalajara, we dove into many details regarding the tequila-making process. This information would only be available from someone with years of experience or educational background in tequila making process. Our master had both. Down to the finer details of flavor profiling to the history of Jimadores, our trip was nothing short of a wealth of information. Our first stop was just outside Tequila for a delicious breakfast. Handmade tortillas and freshly squeezed juice. Of course ready by the time we got there. We departed to our first location, which was not far from there. The distillery was boutique and personable. We sat in a beautiful tasting room and tried a variety of tequilas. The master distiller walked through the process of properly drinking tequila and identifying its qualities. Such a pleasant experience. As we moved on, we made it to a larger distillery not far from our location. We were met by more tasting and some really unique opportunities to drink tequila out of a barrel as well as try some cooked agave. Closed out by a wondering pairing of tequila from Cava de Oro. As we closed the day out, we made a final stop to downtown Tequila where we had a wonderful dinner. Our tequila master was accommodating and receptive to our requests. He was helpful throughout the process and I felt like a professional when I left. I plan on booking this tour again with friends and more family! Its a must!

The whole experience was so personalized and professional, it certainly was a unique experience. Being able to see the beauty of the countryside while having guided tequila tastings was extraordinary.

2 distillers: 1 woman owned the other a man(both Mexican). I loved that! It was about 8-9 hours and ahe picked me up and drove…safely I might add

This was a wonderful tour and Pedro did a great job showing us the different production processes at two distilleries. He did a great job answering any questions we may have had and also taught us how to appreciate tequila spirits. This tour was valuable because we got to go to relatively small distilleries and see the production process whereas other tours are more commercialized. I would go on this tour again in a heartbeat!

This is our second Tequila tour with The Agave Experience. Both Giancarlo and Andie were excellent tour guides. We liked going to smaller, artesanal distilleries rather than the mega producers. We definitely plan to use Agave Experience again.

Pedro was our guide (3 solo travellers on the tour) We asked some quite technical questions and Pedro had the answers immediately. His knowledge and kind personality was very appreciated. Phenominal experience! Our tour guide Mariana was the best. The information that she shared with us didn't feel as if she was reading verbatim from a manual. She is a natural and gets so involved making the tour so much fun and worth the money spent. Thank you, Mariana, for understanding that the weather and restaurant put the tour behind and letting us all enjoy our time at Cantaritos el guero. Overall, I rate her tour 12/10.

We had a great tour with Pedro Gonzalez as our Tequila Master. Pedro was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience really fun. The range of tequilas were well selected and explained. It was a great day out and would recommend it to anyone. It was a long day so make sure to drink lots of water and fill up at the included breakfast - which was also delicious!
