About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- marilynwW8027RP0 contributionsTry something else.First, the good part: the driver was excellent. He was not overly aggressive on the road, and he maintained safe travel throughout the tour. Our tour guide appeared to me to be bored and waiting for the tour to end. The private tour was expensive. I feel like we should have gotten more information than we did. We were taken to a tourist trap to drink tequila and buy souvenirs. The Basilica part of the tour was, in my opinion, too rushed and lacking reverence. I do not recommend this tour.Written 7 September 2024
- ktoohey700 contributionsFantastic private tour to TeotihuacanThis was such a great tour an amazing way to see the pyramids. Our guides were fantastic! We loved being in a private vehicle - totally worth every penny. We never felt rushed, received lots of historical information, were picked up and dropped off at our airbnb, and rode in comfort. Thanks you for a fantastic experience!Written 2 September 2024
- peggyj380 contributionsAnthropoloyGuide's knowledge of history made the entire day so informative and interesting. We loved everything we saw and my goodness we saw a lot!Written 2 September 2024
- TimF7450 contributionsFantastic intro to the history of MexicoFantastic private tour. Ramon our guide was very knowledgeable and didn’t mind any questions on any subject! If you love knowledge and history, then this trip is unmissable.Written 6 August 2024
- 156natalyaa0 contributionsVery good tour. Recommend itI highly recommend this tour. Cholula and Puebla are very beautiful cities, with stunning churches. Our driver Charlie was great. Our guide Maximo was really enthusiastic about his subject. He was helpful and nice. He did his best to share as much information with us as he could. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because we had a little bit of language barrier. But the effort our tour guide put was great and this trip was overall really good.Written 5 August 2024
- B5430GCjoshd0 contributionsMiniature Mountains vs Giant Hills? BOTH!!Amazing views and fascinating, complex history. Maximo was a great guide. Requires moderate fitness level. Definitely recommend that you wait a few days after arriving to do this tour so that you can acclimate to the elevation without being completely out of breath.Written 29 July 2024
- FrankDownUnder0 contributionsA Superb Tour to an Important Archaeological Site and a Beautiful BasilicaWe decided to have the earliest option for this tour to beat the crowd and to have enough time to get ready for our flight later that day. We were picked up on time; the guide was very friendly, engaged with us all the way, and the driver was courteous, opening the doors for us every time we were dropped off and picked up. Even during the drive to the site, the guide kept providing information about local history and culture. After arriving to Teotihuacán, walking on the main street of the site and imagining how people filled up this space in its heyday was nothing short of amazing, and so was entering one of the underground parts of the site. The guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She also helped taking photos and recording videos. The lunch arrangement was extraordinary, with a view to one of the pyramids—a unique experience for sure! The Guadalupe Shrine was a nice surprise; we arrived to the end of a mass, lucky enough to hear the organ and singing in an acoustically special space. Had a photo with the sculpture of John Paul II. After this, we went to a store having an unbelievably large variety of Mexican souvenirs as well as religious objects. We ended up buying some of our primary souvenirs from Mexico here. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.Written 27 July 2024
- bikram710 contributionsGreat morning / early afternoon finish tour of top sites in Mexico City areaWe had a great time with Veronika our guide who I highly recommend to anyone else doing this tour if she’s available and we had a very nice driver as well. There was a lot of information shared on the way to the sites to prepare us for what we were going to see and we had a good time once we got there, doing some exploring on our own and doing some things with the guide. The trip is flexible so you can stay as long or as little as you want at each side depending on what you’re interest level is, but the time is fixed, of course. We opted for the lunch, which was very basic but fine for us just to have a quick bite to eat, and we were given a little tour of an obsidian makers shop, and some local producers of tequila and other spirits made in the area, which was fun without any pressure to buy. I would definitely recommend this to other travellers and the 8 o’clock start time I thought work perfectly As the day progresses the sites get much more crowded.Written 24 July 2024
- dianelB595EX0 contributionsTeotihuacan and Guadalupe shrineRamon was an excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable and interesting. I highly recommend this private tour for families.Written 23 July 2024
- Melissa S0 contributionsPerfect private tourWe enjoyed our private tour of Teotihuacán and the Shrine of Guadalupe. Daniel was an excellent driver and Roberto, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the sites but also had a wealth of information about CDMX and Mexico in general. We had a delicious lunch after our tour of the pyramid of the sun and moon and stopped by a wonderful gift shop in the village. Roberto and Daniel were professional. I will definitely do another tour with Mexico Tours next time I return!Written 5 July 2024
- Jorge C0 contributionsEasy, informative and fun! This was the perfect excursion for my family. Our guide Veronica was incredibly knowledgeable about not only the two locations that we visited, but also about all of Mexico City. Our driver Tony kept us cool, safe and comfortable even when we hit some traffic. Great experience overall, highly recommend!Written 25 June 2024
- ChicagoT3230 contributions¡Perfecto!Outstanding tour! Jorge G. was the perfect guide! A true historian with a contagious passion for Mexican history! The driver, Augustin, was also competent and professional! It was a safe, informative, and enjoyable tour! Well worth the investment in a private tour.Written 20 June 2024
- jherrera34570 contributionsGreat time seeing these beautiful structuresAmazing trip! Our tour guide was great throughout the whole day. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. The view at the rooftop lunch overlooking the site was breathtakingWritten 16 June 2024
- alchernow0 contributionsVery Good tourThe pyramids were absolutely amazing and this tour made the adventure very easy and pleasant. Our guide Roberto was a pleasure to be with—he guided us assuredly and had an easy laugh. The very minor downside was his slight language limitation, but he showed us areas around Teotihuacan that we would have missed had he not guided us. It was definitely a luxury to have a private tour (especially with agile, patient driver Agustin), but it was worth the expense. My husband and I would recommend!!!Written 16 June 2024
- 199kristiev0 contributionsGreat tour with knowledgeable guideThis was an excellent private tour. We had Bruno as the the tour guide and Arturo as the driver, and they provided two excellent days of touring. (We also did the Xochimilco/Frida Kahlo tour with them the following day.) Bruno is very knowledgeable about history, and he did a great job explaining the sites that we visited. Of course the ruins and basilica were stunning, but we also enjoyed learning about the Plaza de las Tres Culturas and the Tlatelolco massacre of 1968. My son, a recent college graduate in history, talked non-stop with Bruno about history and archeology. We also had some great discussions about politics, religion, art, and food. This tour was awesome because we never felt rushed or pressured to move to the next site. In my opinion, it's worth the extra money to have the personalized attention and detailed information, and I would highly recommend this tour and this tour group. (The only thing I would skip is the lunch-it's not particularly tasty in comparison to all the other amazing food you can experience in Mexico.)Written 4 June 2024

This was an excellent private tour. They showed up early, and they had plenty of bottled water for the whole day. We had Bruno as the the tour guide and Arturo as the driver, and they provided two excellent days of touring. (We also did the Teotihaucán/Basílica de Guadalupe tour with them the previous day.) Bruno is very knowledgeable about history, and he did a great job explaining the sites that we visited. My son, a recent college graduate in history, talked non-stop with Bruno about history and archeology. We also had some great discussions about politics, religion, art, and food. I personally really enjoyed ALL the art on this tour-UNAM and Juan O'Gorman, the Diego Rivera Anahuacalli Museum, and of course the Frida Kahlo Museum. We enjoyed eating lunch in the Coyoacán market. This tour was awesome because we never felt rushed or pressured to move to the next site. In my opinion, it's worth the extra money to have the personalized attention and detailed information, and I would highly recommend this tour and this tour group.

Excellent day out with our dapper and knowledgeable guide Sergio and driver Antonio picking us up from our hotel. Off to Xochimilco canals for a great laugh, the place teaming with vibrant colours and mad Mariachi bands in boats touting for tourists and worth every peso for the bonkers entertainment. Then whistled off to both Diego Rivera museum with awesome collection and architecture and Frida Kahlo Casa Azul with all its historic importance and beauty. Finished off with amazing street food in a Taqueria in a huge covered market. Delicious Tacos and beer. Everything to like!

As other reviews have said the views were wonderful and it was a great way to see a lot of special areas/highlights of the region. Bring pesos so you can use the bathrooms at any of the stops!
However if you are prone to motion sickness this bus + canoe ride might not be for you, especially given how congested traffic is leading to a lot of start/stop driving (not the driver’s fault but a reality of the experience). Also be prepared to have people trying to sell you something everywhere you look, including on the boat ride. The booking says the tour finishes at 3:30 pm but we didn’t get dropped off until 5:30, so just be aware it’s quite a long day.

We spent a large part of a day touring Xochimilco, Coyoacán, the Diego Rivera and Frieda Kahlo Museum with Carlos and it was wonderful. The day started with Carlos and a driver meeting us in the lobby of our hotel and from there, we knew we were in good hands. Carlos has a wealth of knowledge — he was insightful, kind and funny.

We can’t say enough about our day and our tour guide and our driver. The tour was so much more than what we were expecting and really appreciated the knowledge, enjoyment and ease of the activity-packed day. They were very patient and catered to us all and we had a 10 year old with us. They related the information so well in Spanish and English. My son and we loved every single minute of the tour. Thank you!!!!

Hello!
I’m going to be hosting a bachelorette party with 10 girls. I would like to know if we could create a private and specialized day trip for the bride to be? With a private bus just for the ten of us and tour guide that picks up at our Airbnb in Polanco as well as drops off there. We would need the tour to pickup at 1:30pm and drop off at 5:30pm November 15th.
Best,
Do you have an email I can contact you directly through for pricing and adjustments to the tour to fit in that timeframe?
