Nice tour of Oaxaca ‘s main attractions
We had an excellent tour with Santiago touching on many of the highlights of Oaxaca. The textile tour was really interesting explaining how they create the dyes and we even used the spinning wheel to create yarn. The whole day was informative and enjoyable.

Mezcal factory liars. Experience overall good.
The experience was good, but Jorge the guy at the Bitao mezcal factory told me I could take up to 1 litre of mezcal on my hand luggage in any size bottles without a problem, but that’s not true, still only 100ml bottles are allowed. I’m Spanish and I asked him many times in Spanish so there was no language misunderstandings, I thought it was strange but he insisted it would be fine, he just wants you to buy it and doesn’t care if you cannot take it onboard and have to leave it behind.

      Amazing tour around oaxaca
We spend an amazing day with Santiago the guide and Eddie the driver. We booked in short notice the “full Oaxaca experience” and it exceed our expectations. Santiago is really passionate, great storyteller with a wide range of knowledge on different topics, explained in great English. He always offered to take pictures of us and always willing to help with suggestions( from food to places) Together with him, Eddie has been a safe and very kind driver( willing to stop anytime for us to get picture) Really recommended experience!

      Exploring at its best!
Book this tour, I promise you will enjoy yourself and have a different appreciation for Oaxaca and its surrounding towns. First Santiago (guide) and Jerson (driver) were beyond professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Santiago made us feel like we were out on a day with a friend. The ride to all locations was comfortable, we got to learn about the areas we passed up along the way. The Tule tree was a pleasant sight in a small town with local shops, the textile workshop was thorough and informative. There are items for purchase. The Hierva el Agua was a sight to see. My partner and I went over the designated time frame, however Santiago and Jerson were patient. Bring extra clothes! Mitla was a cute place to visit and walk around, it’s filled with local shops and food stands. It rain on us for the Mezcal tour, nonetheless Santiago gave us a detail walk through the process of Mezcal making. The Mezcal tasting was fun, nothing but laughter and good Mezcal. Santiago has an amazing personality, great conversation. I would go on a tour again with him. “I’m on your time, this is your tour enjoy as much as you want” in Santiago’s words.

      An amazing day private tour!
We contacted Oaxacool tours in order to see if they could provide a private day tour seeing various attractions like Hierve el Agua and a Mezcal distillery. Our driver and guide were fantastic 10/10 - passionate and of course super knowledgeable of the area. Always made sure we felt safe and happy wherever we were. The car was comfortable and we fit in so many great activities for the day. It gave us a great local insight into Oaxaca and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you so much to Adriel and Oaxacool for organising a wonderful day for us!

      A Must See
Adriel is awesome and very knowledgeable. We honestly enjoyed the car ride with him where he teaches you about the history of Oaxaca along to way to every stop. Would definitely take the tour again. Marcos is a great driver, as well.

Bad transport, great petrified falls. 2 plus driver, guide and guides girlfriend jammed into ford fiesta with no a/c.
Falls were great, fab swim. Rest was ok with usual pressure to buy mescal or carpets. But 5 pax jammed into a small ford with no a/c was hot, crowded and no fun. Especially for my wife who got stuck in middle back seat!!

Perfect day trip to Hieve del Agua
We took a tour to Hieve del Agua which was perfectly planned. With a small stop at a bakery halfway there,. 21/5 hours stop atHieve del Agua which gives you plenty of time to do the hike, swim in the pools and eat lunch. On the way back there was a stop at a mescal distillery where we learned about the process and tasted lots of different mescals and mescal based drinks. The tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. All in all a fabulous day out.

A wonderful local market but go early
Be ready to be overwhelmed! We arrived early so we enjoyed an hour or so of wandering among the locals and seeing the market set up. It's a market that caters largely to locals. Don't go with the goal of hunting for crafts and souvenirs or you'll be disappointed. By about 11 the market got crazy. It was so packed that we had to squeeze through the throng at a snails pace. I'm glad we went but we were relieved to leave.

      Take this cooking class!
This was an excellent way to immerse yourself in the Oaxacan culture. Keren was great and answered all her questions and shared her kitchen with us. She was patient and walked us through the cooking recipes. Going to the market was an experience like no other. The people were nice, the food was delicious.

      Lovely experience in Oaxaca
This tour was amazing! We started in Teotitlan del Valle where we had a very detailed explanation about zapotec rugs, Oscar is a great artist, his desgins are breath taking. Kerenn was very friendly and provided many good recommendations to explore the city while we were going to the next spot, the mezcal distillery is a beautiful house and the mezcal was so good, this is the perfect tour to explore Oaxaca.

This tour was beyond amazing in every way possible. Unlike other tours, this one was not rushed at all and we were even taken to some other fantastic places as an added bonus and had only one other great couple with us to share our adventures with. Our guide, Santiago was an absolute gem. He spoke English incredibly well and shared his vast knowledge in history of the area throughout the tour. He made sure to get us to Hierve el Agua while it was not overly busy and let us take our time hiking around to see all the incredible views while still getting ample time to soak in the ever refreshing pools. Our afternoon lunch break took us to an authentic Oaxacan buffet which had endless items to try, most of which were absolutely amazing. The mezcal tour exceeded all expectations as well; very informative and we were able to taste so many different types without getting any pressure at all for purchasing some of their delicious products. A shout out is also necessary to our driver, Louis, who was very patient while waiting for us at all our stops and ensuring that we made it back to our starting point safe and sound. If I could give this tour an 11 out of 10, I would do so without any hesitation!

This was such a wonderful day out. It was slightly more expensive than some of the other options, but so worth it because going in a smaller group meant that we had more flexibility to take time to go swimming and hiking, and to stop off at places along the way. Because none of our group had evening plans, the trip was actually extended to nine hours so that we could really take our time. It also meant that our fantastic host Adriel spent lots of time with all of us answering questions on a range of topics, including Zapotec history and religion, the best ways to drink Mescal, and how to use a cigarette to ward off bad spirits. The trip to the mescal distillery was the icing on the cake and we all returned to Oaxaca with red cheeks - tinted with sunshine and alcohol!

Did a tour of Hierve el Agua and mezscal distillery visit. Our guide was Karen and our driver was Angel. The van was nice and comfortable even on the rough unpacked roads. Karen was very good at explaining everything and letting us know what to expect. She recommended a restaurant that was excellent. The petrified water falls were amazing. We swam in the pool and took tons of photos. The distillery was interesting and the entire process of growing, harvesting, and processing the agave was explained. Would recommend this tour it has the perfect amount of guided tour and free range exploration. Karen was nice and the driver Angel was great.

What an amazing experience! Tour bus with ac and stop at an artisanal Oaxacan bakery. Then on to Hierve. We hiked to the bottom-which was quite a trek-almost 4 miles(?) back to the top to the pools. Took about an hour and then spent time cooling in the pools-not too crowded-and then went thru the markets to get a much needed snack. Take good hiking shoes, hat, sunblock and plenty of water. The trek back up to the falls is quite vertical. We had the option to just stay at pools or hike but we wanted the whole experience! Met back with our guide and headed to a local restaurant for a buffet style meal, then a quick bus ride to the mezcal distillery where we tasted many different mezcal types. Santiago was very friendly and informative about the area and culture as well as mezcal. Our driver Saul kept us safe and cool! Thank you so much for an amazing tour!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time on this trip! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, the drive to Hierve el Agua was gorgeous, and our two stops were so fun! As a side note, even though lunch isn't included on this trip, there were lots of great food options throughout the day — we stopped at a bakery on our way to Hierve el Agua and I had probably the best tamale of my life. We also had a great and extremely inexpensive lunch at Hierve el Agua before going to the Mezcal Distillery. Highly recommend this trip for anyone interested in learning more about Oaxaca, seeing some BEAUTIFUL nature and enjoying amazing food and mezcal. 5/5!!

We loved this tour not only because of the places that we visited but also because of our guide Adriel and our driver Jorge. Both of them are very kind and will make your visit even better. Adriel is very enthusiastic and passionate when talking about Oaxaca, you will definitely learn interesting facts during the visit. If you are looking for a tour in English or Spanish, this tour is what you were looking for. Adriel is perfectly fluent in English, Spanish and even he knows some words in zapoteco. We will definitely book this tour again
During our visit to the mezcal factory, Israel was very nice and ensured that we had a great experience

Adriel was a great tour guide. He spoke great English and was very knowledgeable. He kept us informed throughout the trip of what to expect and explained Oaxacan culture. The hiking and pools were nice. Beautiful sceneries. I recommend you eat up there, there are many stands with traditional Oaxacan dishes. There’s also places where you can get beers and drinks after hike. The mezcal tasting was great and they were very generous with the servings. The van was comfortable and was air conditioned. I definitely recommend this tour if you haven’t been.

We were delighted to be in a small group of just four people. Our guide, Adriel, spoke fluently in English, and he was very informative and engaging about not just the planned activities, but also Oaxaca life in general. We arrived at the waterfalls at just the right time (late morning) and had the waterfall and pools almost to ourselves which was fabulous. It did get busy towards the end of our visit. We stopped for the Mezcal tasting on the way back which was informative, but also great fun and a special mention must be given to Santiago who ran the tasting. A special tip - buy some rolls for a picnic at the bakery stop on the way in the morning.

My friends and I went on an Oaxacool Tour and had the best day. Adriel was our guide and he shared so much interesting information about the area, he was very, very knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with. Kerenn, the company owner was there as well, and she was also really great. We had such a great experience with them, it was a truly perfect tour. They could charge double and our whole group would've done it again in a heartbeat. 10/10 great experience!!
