About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 819nichellem0 contributionsLoved it!This was an amazing tour, we had Luis and he was very funny and lovely. I can’t remember the other two staffs names but they were also very kind and made an effort to check our wellbeing throughout the experience! Would 100% recommendWritten 6 December 2024
- IkeKimball0 contributionsKnowledgeable Guide & Memorable ExperienceThis private tour was an efficient way to see multiple Mayan sites + a very memorable cenote stop. Our guides name was "Al" and he was extremely knowledgeable about Mayan history and really gave us a good idea of what it was like to live during that time. We rode in a very comfortable car and he offered us refreshments at each stop. He recommended a cenote that was extraordinarily beautiful with a waterfall, right next to a restaurant serving authentic Yucatan dishes. Thanks Al, for a trip we'll never forget!Written 3 December 2024
- Curious205836392530 contributionsFascinating, beautiful, history, funSaying the Chichen Itzá tour is amazing is an understatement! Words can’t describe the feeling you get as you’re walking on the lands where the Mayan civilization inhabited. There is so much fascinating history to learn about and so many beautiful landscapes to see. They’re so many good sights you can capture photos of but as always, photos don’t do justice because there’s nothing like being there in person to witness such experience. I understand now why this place is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. The Ik Kil cenote is breath taking, as you descend down the stone stairs and see the beautiful waters, it’s such an incredible feeling. The water is cold since theres little to no sun down there but don’t worry, your body adjusts to it and it feels nice and fresh during the warm/hot days. The Valladolid town is also a great place to visit, with lots of restaurants, shops, vendors, cafes and history to check out. I would love to come back and do this tour again one day and bring my family/friends so they can get the same experience I did. Thank you to my tour guide Jesus Alarcon. He shows so much passion and is very educating on the history there. He made our experience very fun! 👏🏼Written 10 November 2024

- hwcrow0 contributionsAwesome day on the Yucatán peninsula.Awesome day. Being able to see Tulum, Coba, a ceynote, and Chichen Itza in one day is definitely the way to do it. Why spend your day driving around as a shuttle service picking up and dropping off other people? Our guide Alvaro was extremely knowledgable and professional. We learned so much about these awesome places. Would highly recommend.Written 1 September 2024
- Road503306037320 contributionsWould rebook anytime in Cancun for any excursion! We really liked the tour. So much better than getting shoved on a bus and being pushed through different sites. The guide was knowledgeable and prepared for the tour. The vehicle was perfect for a family of four. Pickup and drop-off was flawless. Definitely the right pick for simplicity and for value!Written 2 August 2024
- J3563JFphilipm0 contributionsA must do tourOutstanding, informative, fun!!! Wow, where do I start? I'll start with our tour guide Ricardo E. He had so much information on the Maya civilization and what Chichen-Itza was. He was funny, educated, and very patient as we had a very large group (tequila group). I can't imagine visiting for the first time like we did without someone as knowledgeable as Ricardo. Well done!! Shout out to Jesus as well, he led the Spanish group. Both men were excellent. I would definitely recommend this tour. I didn't even mention the cenote which was spectacular, and the city of Valladolid. So much to see and experience, absolutely worth it!Written 29 June 2024
- PaulK6580 contributionsWonderful full day experienceThis tour is an amazing way to see the major sites in one day. Our guide, Alvaro, was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The car was very comfortable, and moving between locations was very smooth. We had enough time at each site to learn about the history and take in the beauty. And the lunch was delicious. Highly recommend!Written 27 May 2024

- B687HUgloriaf0 contributionsSalvatore "Sal" Coppola, best driver everAs stated in the Rick Steves' book SICILY, Salvatore "Sal: Coppola is not only a personable, knowledgeable driver of the area but he actually does help track down Sicilian roots! My sister and I had four hours to visit Catalafimi, tour the town, and see the cemetery for more ancestral research. Sadly, we arrived on a Sunday and the municipal offices as well as the local cemetery were closed. This did not stop Sal who used a contact on our paperwork to track down other sites where our grandfather may have walked, including the church where our grandfather was baptized! Sal is highly resourceful and knowledgeable about his island. In fact as we sat in the car figuring out our next move as to tracing our family, Sal spoke with a man who was passing by. In no time flat, Sal's conversation with him revealed there were still people with our name in town and this person lived 'up the street' from the square. The 3 of us were pretty amazed. You will have no worries when hiring Sal as he is that rare guide who's eager to share his love of Sicily with you. We plan to return to Sicily in the hopes of doing further research and when we do, we'll request Sal. Do not hesitate in contacting him for your driving needs when in Sicily. 5 Star Rating for him.Written 9 May 2024
- sweetdec0 contributionsTrip to Chichen ItzaMy husband and I just returned from a short trip to the Riveria Maya. We took the 1/2 day tour to Chichen Itza with Cancun Advertures. We were picked up at our resort. They arrived 10 minutes early. Our guide was Micael and our driver was Mr. Donnie. Micael was very knowledgeable about the Mayans and their culture. He was patient and answered everyone's questions and gave us plenty of time to take pictures. Our driver was also fantastic. He stayed with the bus and allowed us to board when we were done early so that we didn't have to sit in the humid weather waiting on the others to return. Lunch was provided in Valladolid and it was every good. I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get both Mr. Donnie and Micael.Written 29 March 2024

- l0p19570 contributionsToo long too much sales pitchWay too long and too much sales pitch. We got picked up at hotel by van at 7:40am. Stopped at 2 other hotels then went to a hotel and waited about 30-45 minutes for bus to show up. No explanation of what was going on etc. finally left and during tide was total sales pitch about not buying from vendors in Chichen Itza but buy from Mayan village. Spanish speakers didn’t get sales pitch but info on history etc. had people fill out papers for your birthday so they could write them in Mayan but didn’t tell you how much they were going to charge you until you got to Mayan lunch. At lunch too much time trying to get you buy things. Ran so late we were at Cenote with hardly any sun for photos and could only swim short time. Went to Vallodid town in complete darkness so no photos there. Got back to hotel after 9:30pm. Thought it was going to be around 7pm like it was a few years ago with other company. People missed dinner reservations. 14 hours was toooo long! Especially when we only got 2 bottles of water! Also just because we had a stroller we were divided and sent with people with walkers, canes etc so missed a lot of cool things.Written 23 October 2023

On our last night in Cancun saved this tour for last. We have travelled extensively and the ceremony felt authentic to us. It was an awesome evening with delicious homemade food served by Mayan people in their own community. The drive out is long ie 1hr 45 min from Cancun so be warned but on the way back you are so relaxed you sleep the whole way! The swim in the cenote under the moonlight was especially memorable. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I were spending our honeymoon in Tulum and found this tour at the last minute. I was a little nervous since there were not a ton of reviews for it. However, the whole experience was wonderful. The staff were kind and very informative. The Temazcal was rejuvenating and a very spiritual experience. That being said, if you do this please be respectful and do not talk during the Temazcal. It is not only rude and disrespectful to the Mayan people, it hurts the experience for the other people in the group. Also, be aware that the sensory experience can be a bit overwhelming given that you are in a small hut all in the dark with 20 other people and it is very very hot. If you struggle with sensory issues this may not be for you. I found that once I got used to the sensation it was quite pleasant. After the Temazcal, we swam in a cenote located in the village. The water felt magically cool after the Temazcal. Finally, we finished with an authentic Mayan dinner, which was absolutely delicious. A 10/10 experience that I would definitely do again!

Dear Traveler,
First and foremost, congratulations on your recent marriage! 🎉
Thank you immensely for taking the time to share your experience with our Temazcal tour. Our dedicated team strives to provide a memorable and authentic experience, and it's heartening to hear that it resonated with you and your husband.
Your advice to future participants is invaluable. We wholeheartedly agree that respecting the sanctity of the Temazcal ceremony is of utmost importance. We aim for all our guests to have a transformative and enriching experience, and that's best achieved when everyone is respectful and present. For those who are new or unfamiliar with the Temazcal, it can indeed be an intense sensory experience, and your insight will undoubtedly be helpful for them.
It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the cenote swim and the Mayan dinner afterward. We believe that these experiences, combined with the Temazcal, offer a holistic and immersive understanding of the rich Mayan culture.
We hope to welcome you back soon, perhaps for an anniversary trip or another adventure in the region. Wishing you and your husband a lifetime of happiness and beautiful journeys together!
Warm regards,
Mariia Kireeva

Good show, sauna and swimming in the night. Food was also good. Giving 4 of 5 because Blue Caribe didn’t provide water on a van.
Jesus from Delta Vacations organized this tour perfectly before my arrival to Mexico.

The activity itself was very good but unfortunately very VERY touristic... we went there as a couple and we meet a large group of Russian people there. You will be with 20 people at the same time, and your guide will jut explain you what to do but not why we do it. No history background just a cash machine with local people forced to play like maya... too bad, it could have been very good.

I want to first say I would’ve rated a five out of five, the experience was amazing! Only because my husband and I have been properly taught how to sweat out of the US. Why I chose a 3 is, My complaint that the Tour Guides MUST prepare the Tourists better! We are Going to a working Mayan Village, and choosing to participate in Real Ceremony, but then tourists undermine that by being disrespectful. The Guides not teaching people the APPROPRIATE EXPECTATIONS like NOT TALK during the sweat while the Curandero is singing! To teach people that THEY are going to experience a Healing and a Cleansing So THEY Should be respectful to the villagers AND OTHER TOURISTS by not SMOKING by the Temezcal, to RESPECT the Curanderos AND OTHER TOURISTS Who may Actually Know the traditions and were there for the EXPERIENCE IN A DIFFERENT WAY, to be restful of other tourists, to clean up after themselves. Also if there is going to be tour guides from other countries going multiple times over months, I suggest they have their OWN tour, and to not be mixed with new comers. As their inappropriate opinions of the experience can taint another’s opinion or experience!! It was Extremely Disappointing to be around ignorant people and guides that made it No Big Deal.
