About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- sairyj0 contributionsA scamDon’t book unless you want to throw away your money. I booked this trip for my husband’s birthday. We showed up at the pick up spot and waited 45 minutes for pick up and never saw anyone from Diamond. Me, my husband, and our taxi driver all called non stop and nobody ever picked up. Still giving them the benefit of the doubt, I emailed them not asking for refund but to see if they’d fit us in another day since we’d be in playa for a whole week. Still never got a response….we had to book with a completely diff company and of course pay again. Such a terrible experience & I believe these ppl are scammers.Written 20 August 2024
- S1045XYcb0 contributionsAmazing Experience with Diamond Bright 2!The service was amazing ! Raul was punctual when he came to pick us up at our hotel entrance and is a savvy driver -especially through the traffic to Cancun. The crew on the caravan (Diamond Bright 2) was amazing and so attentive. They provided nonstop drinks, always checked on everyone to see if they wanted anything, and took photo ops. Christian, the photographer, was great at posing us and helping us relax- the photos came out great! He printed them out so we could decide what we wanted to keep. I brought cash but card works as well. Our coordinator spoke English, Spanish, French and was great at explaining anything further if you asked for any clarification. The specific meet up times were repeated multiple times, especially when leaving the boat to make sure everyone was aware. It was my first time snorkeling, they recommended only confident swimmers should go, and provided a quick safety lesson along with lifejackets, flippers, and goggles. Snorkeling was a great experience - we saw so many schools of fish and the underwater statues (the hands in a circle specifically). Our guide even swam down to show us a conch he noticed on the ocean floor. After snorkeling, they took us to another area to have a quick swim. Isla de Mujeres was a nice break to walk around- golfcarts were an option to see the island. I decided to walk around and found a taco place (Tacos de Humo- LARGE portions despite it being only 3 Tacos each plate ) and bought an iced espresso (Jacilito- the espresso was delicious) On the way back, the crew put on a show and dance with funny costumes and passed around tequila shots to liven us up. Music for the day ranged from house remixes of pop songs, reggaton, and popular classics (YMCA, sweet Caroline, etc). The breakfast included light snacks- coffee and cookies. The drinks on board ranged from beer, cocktails (tequila sunrise, margritas, pina colada, shots of tequila etc), virgin drinks, and water (ice was always available throughout the day!). The buffet was at Zaza Beach Club - the buffet spot was at the back and had a few vegetarian options, cocktails, horchata (so good !!), and the jamaica/hibiscus drink. My favorite option was the ceviche. The buffet staff was very friendly! We had access to the beach and pool, just not full access for the gazebos and specific seats which was fine for our short stop. Near the end, there was an argument between a small group and the staff because of damage to a speaker; the crew dealt with the situation the best they could, maintained their professionalism, and didn't let it affect the experience for the rest of group on the caravan. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone, it's the highlight of my trip in Mexico!! P.s. bring sunscreen and reapply- the sun is strong. They have seating area in the shade if you get burned (like I did).Written 29 May 2024
- andyhaslam12340 contributionsGreat all day TripVery reasonable price 12 hr trip collected from Hotel not crowded great food and drinks served all day multiple locations snorkeling included pictures $10/$15 each so take a water proof GoPro or phone put main sail up for return spectacularWritten 29 May 2024
- I824DFrobinr0 contributionsWorst cruise ever!It was horrible! They shove their cell phones in your face as soon as you get there for “promoting”. They night 5 girls aboard yesterday in our cruise for “promotion pictures and video”. They were put front and center of everyone and their needs were taken care of over anyone else’s. Our cruise was late taking off because of this. The snorkeling is only about 15 minutes. The private beach area was a joke and the food was horrible. Again the other girls were shoved right up front and got their food before anyone else. Then you only get about 1 hr and 10 minutes on Isla. I expressed my frustration was told “oh, sorry🤷♀️”. We have done this tour several times and always enjoy it. But never with this company.Written 24 May 2024
- 389leahn0 contributionsHonest review - look into this more before bookingWe went on the catamaran tour to Isla mujeres, it was sold to us as a snorkelling tour to the reef, however it was the furthest thing from that. The catamaran is almost a party boat with constant loud music and loud base, they are very generous with alcohol and are constantly coming round offering drinks ( can't fault the staff because they were lovely and attentive) but from 10am-5pm it is just based around drinking. The first stop is suppose to be at the reef to snorkel but as we were approaching they said we would not be stopping, instead they stopped closer to the island for a 10 minute ‘dip’ and this is the only time they stop the boat other than at the island. You then proceed to the island where you are dropped off at a beach club and have two hours there, which you have access to the buffet (the food was mediocre, drinks are included in the eating station) there is also a pool next to the beach which was nice, however the whole stop is over crowded with boats and boats of tourists being dropped off (which is the same for the second stop) best part about this stop is the dog who goes around greeting everyone. You then board the boat and proceed to the second and final stop off which only consists of lots and lots of overpriced souvenir shops with lots of people trying to sell you stuff, surrounded by hundreds and hundreds of people, there is a couple of beach bars (which are also overpriced $10 for French fries!!) The whole trip is a MONEY TRAP. You then board the boat which takes you back to the port in Cancun. I must say the sea is so rough and makes the whole trip unenjoyable (a lot of people were sea sick), I have been told since that the sea is always this way hence why the dock is closed most of the time. Our fault for not looking into this more before booking as this was sold to us as a snorkelling trip in which you get to visit the island and a museum and it was more just a party boat revolved around drinking (felt like I was in Magaluf or kavos) The price was originally $70 pp but after two days of it being moved the rep made us pay an additional $10 even though they was the ones who moved it, you also pay $20 dock fee before boarding the boat. Would not recommend not worth the money at all.Written 16 May 2024

- 263tiannem0 contributionsDon't bookI do not recommend Diamond Bright. We stayed at the location for one hour and they never came. I called and texred them many times to no avail. Viator/TripAdvisor even communicated with them. Diamond Bright had the audacity to send partial payment. They eventually gave a full refund. It is an inconvenience to get up early to not be picked up and then having to find something else to do last minute. If I could I would have given negative stars.Written 13 April 2024

- bonnym2370 contributionsGo with the flow and have a good timeLot of fun! We wanted a relaxing snorkling boat trip. We love the quiet nature. But we got on a sort of partyboat. I first thought was o my god! How can I survive this! But the atmosphere was very good and it was a great experience 😁. Just go with the glow and enjoy the international people on board, the drinks an the view over the water. The music is loud, just accept it and go with the flow. The crew was great! Also the drinks. Don't expect a barrier reef whole snorkling and don't expect a 5 star lunch. It's all okay and enjoy your time 'n the boat. Don't forget to bring ocean friendley sunblocker.Written 4 January 2024
- Z5854SFlewisb0 contributionsI highly DONT recommend diamond brightThe start, the sale person named Emmanuel,at playa del carmen, lied about what was included in the tour. He decided to go with diamond bright because you get to spend time a north beach in isla Mujeres. Thats what Emmanuel told me. We only pasted by, we can barely see the beach. When i went back to see him, he said that i was lying. On top of all that, we pay for get pictures send to us by email and never got them. The catamaran is packed with barely any room to sit, no shade also. The food was horrible. I recommend using a different company.Written 17 October 2023

- Roxielee140 contributionsDon't book with Diamond Bright Ever!!Save yourself alot of money. Don't book with this company. The boat was nice, crew was good however we were sold a a bill of crappy goods. We were told there would be 3 snorkeling spots. WRONG there was one. Told there was Para Sailing on this tour. WRONG. There was supposed to be chairs reserved for us on the beach we stopped at. WRONG. Stopped for a lunch that I wouldn't feed my dog. Supposed to have a 4 hour stop at the beach. WRONG. This is the absolute worst tour we have ever ever done and we have traveled the world.Written 24 April 2023
- 433winniem0 contributionsGo with a different tour. This was 12 hours and your was totally misrepresented by the seller.Tour seller Guillermo: 5th avenue Promised: 40 min drive to/from 75 mins to get there. continental breaky: where? parasailing: not one mention, 3 snorkel stops: 1 quick stop at wrong statues. Don’t get me started on the terrible lunch buffet/drinks. No beach chairs as promised. We had to buy time at a table with umbrella as way too hot to be in sun, driver late for 2 hour drive back. The boat crew were awesome, the weather perfect. 5⭐️ to the crew. Would never book with this company again. We’ve been on a ton of tours. Never experienced such a misrepresented tour.Written 21 April 2023
- dianatL1006ON0 contributionsNot what we expected! We booked it trough a person at our hotel and we wanted Snorkeling and something more… but at least a good snorkel. When we came to the boat it was a lot of people.. couldn’t get a good seat anywhere.. In the advertisement it was.. snorkel, beach club authentic Mexican food at Isla Mujeres.. we got on the boat and the first thing was the Snorkeling.. it felt stressful.. and we would swim together over the reef… What reef?? To much people and just yelling from the guides so you did not know if you should stop or look down?! Then lunch… at a place that I don’t know how to describe.. the food was not good.. then on the boat again.. went downtown Isla Mujeres… a looot of people clear water but what would you do there? 1,30h stop.. on the boat again.. went out about 5min from the beach.. and you could jump into the sea.. then on it again.. to go back “home” The crew was nice but our trip was not at all what we had expected or hoped for.. We were offered a lot of drinks on the boat and they called it a party boat.. but.. party trip??? . I don’t know why you have kids on the boat and the mix of people… we were expecting more and it felt so awkward.. I know we were more than just us that felt liked this.. I really don’t recommend this to anyone if you’re not just out there to go on a catamaran and to drink.. because the experience is not much to have.Written 30 March 2023

We were approached by Saul (not sure if he is employed by Diamond Bright, but sold us the tour) on the beach of our hotel, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He talked us through the boat trip and we booked it at a price we thought was reasonably and we were happy to pay. We communicated over WhatsApp and he was very helpful regarding the weather and conditions. Pick up was on time and a friendly welcome from the driver.
We arrived at the boat, checked in and set sail. The snorkelling was good fun and great to see the statues, having a guide with us in the sea was also good and reassuring as it was very wavey.
The next stop was for lunch which was a nice buffet and the food was hot!
Then we went to Playa Norte, the main port. We rented a golf cart and saw the whole island in the hour and a half we had there which is well recommended. The island is mostly a tourist trap, with loads of shops and not actually much to see, and the beach is nothing special.
We then got back on the boat back to Cancun. The crew were excellent with providing drinks throughout the whole day, and you never had an empty glass.
Most of the staff were funny and made the day enjoyable until it came to paying for any extra things or tipping.
The downsides were we were asked to pose for some photos which they printed out and asked us to come below deck to view the pictures, at our surprise. They then wanted to charge us $60 for the pictures for 10 photos, which we declined and the photographer was very disgruntled and rude when we politely said we didn’t want the pictures.
We had a fun day out besides anything to do with money, and would recommend it to others, but just be aware of the extra money you might have to decline paying!

A trip for people who like to drink like crazy, listen to super loud music all the time and eat like pigs. Because of strong wind we could not do any of the planned activities (snorkeling, underwater museum etc) but the price remained the same. We were charged an outrageous exchange rate because we settled by card. Zero charm even though the crew was trying its best to cheer us up. Wish they would have told us something about the history of the island or about the fauna we saw instead of constantly asking us whether we wanted to drink something.

I’ll start by saying, the crew on this trip was great. You were never without a beverage in hand. They were attentive, kind, and made sure everyone had fun. The one piece i did not enjoy was the photographer on board that was trying to take pictures of you and your group. Once told i did not want pictures, they never asked again. Not pushy!
This rating is more for the various activities on the trip. We were picked up from our hotel at 9, arrived around 9:30 for check in, then waited about 40 minutes to actually get on board. Seemed like an extremely inefficient check in process. Once on the boat, we left immediately for snorkeling. Coming from someone who has done a lot of snorkeling, this left something to be desired. It was mostly algae, hardly any coral. There were hundreds of people in this area. Maybe 20 other boats. Very crowded.
After snorkeling, we went to a different location and took part in what I like to call ‘budget parasailing’. Kind of fun, but not really worth the extra stop. Photo of the parasail.
We then went to Isla Mujeres. Lunch was pretty good, better than expected actually. We were there for about an hour.
Then we went to a different beach, The crew said it was the #9 best beach in the world according to trip advisor, which might be true, but I assure you it is not. Thousands of people, not an open chair in sight, and people selling something left and right. Not at all relaxing.
Overall, I would not recommend this trip.

It's a full day experience but NOT luxury. The drinks are extremely watered down so expect that. The bathroom on the boat was disgusting. The staff was nice but the photographer was extremely pushy to take pictures and to have you view them on his time. The lunch at the first stop was actually great and you get alot of time to shop in Isla Mujeres. The boat was late to pick us up and go back to the main dock so make dinner reservations after 7pm. I got back to my resort around 6:30pm with transportation that they arranged. Honestly overall if you could, just book with another company. I saw plenty of other boat groups at Isla Mujeres that looked way more fun and I don't think this is worth it at all. Especially after finding out that some people paid double for this excursion.

On June 8th 2021 me and my girlfriends join an amazing crew for a full day of laughter, entertainment, adventure, and all the drinks we could responsibility handle! Alex was our host and he was a blast! The whole crew was super hospitable and did a great job communicating to everyone! My favorite part was the spinnaker activity. With all the drinking and “extreme” activities that are optional to partake in, I probably would not recommend families with small children to join! We traveled 2 1/2 hours from Tulum so make sure to bring snacks and any source of entertainment for the bus ride. All in all would definitely recommend!

Excellent day trip on the diamond 2 boat today. the staff were amazing throughout. The buffet lunch at Zaza beach club was nice and the beach club has a swimming pool with swim up bar. Domestic drinks are included. The drinks onboard the boat itself were good and had a choice of alcohol or no alcohol. Personally O would have loved a bit more time at the second island mujeres stop we only had around 1 hour.
Some tips: if you want to sunbathe try to get to the front of queue going on the boat there are two netted areas to lie in the sun at the front of the boat, the front right net needs to be empty for spinnaker activity so you will need to move then go back. Take some pesos for Isla mujeres as to pay in dollars is a terrible exchange rate. Apply lots of sunscreen before you get to the dock as they ask you not to reapply again until after the snorkelling. When booking the trip do not pay the dock fee to the booking agent it’s much quicker to pay the $20 per person at the dock itself. We had prepaid and there was quite a delay while they verified this. There is a photographer onboard and he is very thorough if you don’t want to pay for pictures you can just say no, we bought three pictures for 1050 Mexican dollars. Snorkelling: if you have your own mask bring it, I struggled with the snorkel mouthpiece, only join in if you are a strong confident swimmer as it’s very strenuous, personally it was my least favourite part of the day because of the number of people in the water and it all felt very frantic with the staff shouting “diamond 2, diamond 2” however I know this is needed to keep everyone together, if I did the trip again I would opt to stay on the boat.
I would highly recommend this trip, we booked through Mario an operator in Puerto Morelos and he kept in touch via WhatsApp and was great to deal with too.

We were on Diamond 1 for a private full day trip of snorkeling and swimming to Isle Mujeres. The crew of Captain Maurico, Bartender David, Crew members of Rashid, Levi, and Johnny were the best. We have taken other private tours in other parts of Mexico and this was by far the best.
Their service and attention to detail were second to none. I highly recommend booking these guys for any future excursions when your in the Cancun area.
Rock on Diamond 1!!!

We used them on a Catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres. The crew of the boat was great - very fun, energetic and attentive to the passengers. Food at the Beach Club on Isla was better than expected and the Spinaker swing was an added bonus. Then after our trip they went above and beyond. My wife left her phone on north beach and after we made contact with the guy who found it, they went out of their way to pick it up on their next trip and bring it to us. I don't hesitate to recommend them.

Alex and the team were great. The sailing was awesome and the snorkelling was nice. The equipment is good quality. Isla mujeres was SO crowded and there were no golf charts available. The food was okay.
Only one thing for improvement, the tour was supposed to start at 9.30, but we didn’t board the boat until 10.20, so most people had waited in the sun on the dock for an hour.

We had the best day on the Diamond Bright II. It was a gorgeous day to be on the water. Only about 20 people on the boat. The drinks flowed freely all day and the staff was on top keeping them coming. The lunch on Isle Mujures was very good. Enjoyed our time on Isle Mujeres. Snorkeling and swimming in the gorgeous water was great. The crew was amazing. Captain Gabriel, Rashid, Levy, Lakota and Hever kept the fun going and made sure everyone was having a good time. Awesome day!
