About
Enjoy an incredible cenote tour where you will purify your body and soul in 3 different cenotes. The Zapote cenote is part of the route of the cenotes of the Riviera Maya and is located just a few minutes from the Kin Há cenote. It is an open well of magnificent crystal clear water naturally decorated in the middle of the jungle where you can practice snorkeling, as well as diving since it has the highest platforms in the area, one of 14 meters and another of 16 meters, or simply swim and cool off in its waters. Then they move to the cenote grandfather cheche, a cave type and finally go to cenote las palmas to cool off. You will also have 4 lines of zip lines and a small bicycle tour to move to another cenote (10-15 min) and without forgetting that you will also be able to taste some typical dishes of the area with fresh waters to delight your palate.

- rogerbI8224VR0 contributionsBeware: Mexico Fining Americans Unfairly for ElectronicsI traveled to Mexico in September 2024 and had a frustrating and unfair experience with customs. If you’re traveling to Mexico, be extremely cautious about how many electronics you bring, and don’t expect any leniency, even when following the rules. This whole experience has been an unfortunate and costly lesson about how Mexico treats tourists at customs. My wife and I have been to Cancun 10 times in the last five years and never been treated like this. I was fined $212 because I had two iPads, which the customs officer claimed was over the allowed limit for personal electronics. However, I did not violate any rules—one of the iPads belonged to my wife, who had stepped outside to arrange our shuttle. Despite explaining this to the officer, they refused to listen and insisted on issuing the fine. Warning for American Travelers: Even if you’re within the rules, Mexican customs can still fine you for carrying multiple electronics. There’s no due process—once they’ve decided to fine you, there’s no arguing. I’ve been trying for weeks to resolve this issue with the Mexican customs, the US Consular’s office, and PREFECO (who is supposed to help with tourist issues but does not even return emails or calls). It’s clear this is simply a revenue source for them. You won’t get a fair hearing or any meaningful help in contesting the fine.Written 4 October 2024
- Andres C0 contributionsFun day on the waterWe’ve been to Mexico a few times and to Isla Mujeres twice, so we wanted to switch it up and find a less traveled island. We stumbled across Contoy. This island is nationally protected and only allows 200 people a day. It was a great experience and the beach felt empty. Isla Mujeres is nice, but if you just want to enjoy the beach without all the vendors and the crowds then Contoy is the place for you! The company we used was Contoy Adventures. They were wonderful. Provided a safe and fun atmosphere, food, and drinks. I’d highly recommend this trip!! Pro Tip: bring bug spray. They’ll allow you to put it on before you get to the island. It’s absolutely needed if you’re taking the small hike on the island. It’s not a hike per se but provides some nice views. We were destroyed by mosquitoes in a matter of minutes.Written 20 August 2024
- samanthalQ9837AW0 contributionsMust do family activityThis was so fun. We were all glad we went. Our family is comprised of grandparents, parents, and teens. We tend to be more reserved, and by halfway through we were all up dancing, laughing, and participating. The crew has such a good time it’s hard not to join in. Definitely a highlight of the trip for us.Written 22 June 2024

The ride was very bumpy since the road leading to the Sian ka’an was not made but other than that the guides were really cool, the boat ride, dolphins and snorkeling was amazing. - espressssso0 contributionsHEAVENContoy is a truly amazing virgin island, exceptional views from any point of the beach but also from the inside. You can feel it freedom all the time, animals are just acting like there is nobody else in there. Just be careful with the sun as sunblock is banned and the weather is great but can be too much The restaurant was pretty good and the museum is really interesting. In 1 word, HEAVEN I would be going every day if possible!Written 10 May 2023
- Bakhtier N0 contributionsA park from which they squeeze the maximum without investmentWe came with 2 kids 12 and 5 y.o. The park is ok but needs restoration. We have chosen the platinum package but upon arrival realised that the Zipline was close and we have been offered nothing instead. In general there are interesting spots but all seems not well taken care. The smell of rotten water is coming from the dtenage system and in the waves pool. Of course compare to other parks the price is quite affordable at any time but at the same time you want to be treated well. Tge lunch is totally ZERO.Written 19 April 2023

Had fun visiting the Cenotes and zip lining. The lunch was nice and people were friendly. There was a bit of confusion around who our guide was and we had to wait awhile before joining another group that came to close to 30 people. 4 vans and cars trying to get in and out of tight spots took a long time, didn’t have masks for everyone or kids bikes.
Past all that the lunch was good and we enjoyed the time and kids had fun.

Ricardo (Richard) was our tour guide. He was great and had a lot of patience with me since I am not a confident swimmer. I can’t swim at all. Lol Ricardo explained each cenote in detail and was very accommodating. The food was great too. You really can’t beat the price. My boyfriend and I will be back for sure. We’ll ask for Ricardo again. If you can request a tour guide It’s Ricardo you want.

My wife and I went on this trip Aug 7th. I can’t say enough good things about the trip. You visit 3 cenotes with a zip line in between. The first ceynots you can jump into the ceynote from above if you want. They have spots at 5, 10, and 30-35 feet if you want to jump. My wife and I jumped from the tallest and it was a thrill.
After the first cenote, they take you on a zip line that has 4 runs. It was fun (hung upside down), but the runs aren’t that long.
The second cenote you can zip line into the water. That was awesome. High enough to get a thrill, but not so high it’s scary. Most people in our group did it. I would say ages 11 and up.
The last cenote was a cavern which was pretty cool. No thrills, but you get a mask and the water is crystal clear. They have some floodlights to brighten things up a bit, but still lots of shadows.
They have an option to rent an ATV and go on a jungle ride. My wife and I did that and it was worth the extra cost to us.
Only negative is that our driver wasn’t there when it was time to leave. We had to wait about 45 minutes in the hot parking lot so that was a disappointing way to end the trip.

I’ve been coming to Cancun yearly for 10 years now and this by far is my favorite excursion! We were picked up by Jessie, our driver and tour guide. The van was owned by the Cenote Zapote company. It was very clean, new and comfortable. Jessie was very personal, she was easy to talk to, and understand. Her English was very good. There were a few of us that needed special accommodation for walking. We were shuttled around by a large golf cart. The paths are all flat, light gravel and easy to walk or they provide bicycles or you can rent a 2 person ATV.
We visited 3 amazing Cenotes. Each more beautiful than the last. Two are exposed to the jungle and one is inside a large, roomy cavern. You can swim in each Cenote, one even has a zip line! Such fun! In the cavern Cenote we were given masks to swim with and view the crystal clear underwater world.
After our tour we were treated to a local tequila tasting and a Mayan lunch. Both were delicious! There are plenty of restrooms on site, lockers and places to change clothes. I highly recommend this amazing tour with Cenote Zapote.

Gorgeous views that look like they could be the default wallpaper on a computer and thrilling activities. I wish I could spend more time here; we got to zip line into the cenote, jump off ledges into the cenotes, snorkel in a cave-like cenote, and zip line through the forest. Our tour guide was so upbeat and fun. And don’t even get me started on the mayan tacos. They were so flavorful and authentic, it was truly a 10/10 experience.

Our guide was Jessi. She was very friendly and informative about the cenotes and about the area. We did the 3 cenotes and 4 zip lines as well. This was definitely a fun trip that didn’t take all day and wasn’t very expensive either. I would recommend people to check out this place. All of the staff was very friendly and we had a fresh authentic lunch afterwords.

The experience was incredible. Each of the 3 cenotes offer a different thrill. Diving from a height, zip line dive and cave swimming. We also saw folks doing scuba in the depth of the first cenote to see Devils Bells. Recommend bringing snorkel mask for the first 2 swims (a nice to have as they offer in the 3rd one). The team is very attentive and kind. Zip lines and 4x4 drive total bonus. Kids/teens and adults all had a blast. Facilities are clean and lunch was delicious - local food very well seasoned. Our guide Francisco was very kind.

We went with my 70 year old dad (he’s very fit for that age) and had a fantastic time at the cenotes. The high jump, the aquatic zip line, the caverns, all of the cenotes were fabulous! Our guide, Randy, was kind and knowledgeable. And the lunch was well worth the additional cost. It was honestly the best lunch we had on our trip, beating out our resort by a mile. We would 100% recommend going here!

Such a fun day! The cenotes were beautiful, and there was plenty of activities to do, from places to jump to a zip line. Our guide was so helpful (we didn’t get their name sadly) but they made the day so easy for us. The food provided was delicious too. Amenities were clean and modern, and the taxi driver provided waited for us the whole time. The day is so flexible, you can spend hours there or move on quickly if you wanted a shorter day. Would recommend to anyone visiting to book!
