About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- L4193SNsarahm0 contributionsA true wonder!Carlos was a fantastic guide. Super approachable and knowledgable. The trip covered everything and was so well organised. Snacks were given on the coach as well as a delicious lunch! Carlos was super attentive and just overall and brilliant experience.Written 21 August 2024
- kammym20240 contributionsWorth the tripThe site was beautiful absolutely amazing! The trip is long to get there. You stop at a store before you go in to the site. They tell you to buy there, but they sell the same stuff inside for less. #cancunpassionsWritten 20 January 2024
- Lisa T0 contributionsCarlo’s is the best tour guide!Amazing experience! This was my husband’s activity he chose to do while we were in Cancún, and I think I enjoyed myself more than him! Such a rich history and our tour guide Carlos is the reason my experience was so spectacular! With 24 years of experience and his own personal stories of his research of the ruins was amazing. We also paid for the VIP sitting in the front of the bus so I got to chew Carlos’s ear for all my thought provoking questions for hours. 🤣 the buffet lunch stop, the shopping the connotes were all added bonus’s. I bought allot of souvenirs there. Yes, it is a long day, but take the time to do it.Written 19 August 2023
- brianpF5368ZS0 contributionsGreat visit to Chichin Itza and Cerotes!Great service and a great tour from Pedro and Beto. Very friendly and looked out for us! Drinks were plentiful and the bus was very clean.Written 8 March 2023
- Henk C0 contributionsGreat GREAT service! What an incredible experience. Chichen Itza was breathtaking. The Cenote swim perfect to refresh afterwards. Food was good - remember it is a tour for loads of people but it was good. However, the best thing was the service. Tomas, Carlos and Luis (unsure of spelling of his name) where fantastic. My wife and youngest Diaghilev got heat exhaustion during the trip and had to take it easy. Tomas went out of his way to help them. Advice is to take the Plus package as it gives you refreshment throughout. And please tip generously. We are lucky to be able to afford the trip and the local economy and people depend on us for their living.Written 5 July 2022
- frozenmoments4u0 contributionsSuper Fun DayLeft Occidental Costa Cancun at 7:30am boarded tour bus, had snacks, lunch, beer (food was good). Mayan temples were an amazing sight.Written 8 June 2022
- Nutan G0 contributionsAwesome Mayan architectureThe history and architecture of Mayans and their ability to study the sun and show the time of the day from the shadows falling on the monument is amazing. Definitely worth a visit.Written 7 June 2022
- corkefs900 contributionsScam alert!Scam, stay away. The tour guide Mr. Navarro only sells and sells and keeps selling. First, you will stop in the cenote, there the Mayas sell you tequila stones and more and more things. Then Chichen itzá, and to come back we stopped in Valladolid on a jewelry, my husband got me a ring with a stone that changes the color, a zultanita they call it, it’s not a zultanita. Please don’t choose this tour. Be aware, you will be scammed!Written 3 February 2022
- pminto20150 contributionsExpensive, overcrowded and a very long dayUnfortunately it was a very long day sat in a coach either in traffic or waiting on passengers arriving late. The tour guide stood talking for over an hour on the Chichen itza site in the baking 30 degree heat wearing face masks with nowhere to sit. This area was over crowded and with no time to shop at the market, we were rushed through, back on the coach and taken to a large room for lunch. Overcrowded again, extremely noisy and unfortunately I suffered 2 days of food poisoning afterwards. We constantly ran late. The excursion leaving Cancun took nearly 14 hours, 14 hours and the 2 days off sickness I will never get back. Tour was on the 2nd January 2022.Written 11 January 2022
- Debbye M0 contributionsChichen Itza - MUST See; just not with this tour companyWe booked the "Chichen Itza tour with Hubiku Cenote, Valladolid and Lunch". MISTAKE! This was a terrible tour. 3+hrs on a bus with many broken seats stuck in recline position. Arrived almost 1130am. Expected lunch close to lunch time. Left Chichen Itza 145pm then more than an hour drive to lunch site. We only had a total of 2 hrs there, to eat, visit/swim the cenote, and visit the tequila "museum". But, first we had to suffer through a 20 min sales pitch for the tourist trap gift shop. Lunch buffet was terrible. American food (chicken, spaghetti, etc). And the quality was similar to an elementary school lunch. We were hoping for an authentic Mexican meal. Paid $3/adult extra for unlimited drinks. Only allowed to get one 6 Oz Pina colada or 6 Oz lime margarita (not frozen). And, we were only allowed to get 2 of these weak drinks bc the attendant disappeared. Skip the bathroom here... Disgusting. We stopped in Valladolid at a "jewelry store". I'm certain the tour guide gets a kickback for anything people on the bus buy. Tour guide ("Navarro") just kept randomly singing - not in any way connected to what he was telling us. He'd start singing after periods of silence; when half the bus was asleep. Very annoying to be awakened to a wanna be singer crooning. He seems to be knowledgeable but lacks the ability to read his audience. Would have been nice if he'd spent less time trying to sell us souvenirs and more time talking about things we were passing on the trip.Written 21 July 2021
- senalen0 contributionsChichen Itza, Cenote Swim, Valladolid, Buffet, Tequila Tasting With ViatorWe booked this tour through Viator, our tour guide was Vincente Padilla and Juan was our driver. Vincente has to be one of the smartest people on the face of the earth lol his knowledge about the mayans and the area in general was amazing. granted, this is his job to know these things but i learned so much! He really made this experience amazing and without him I would not have understood just how amazing Chichen Itza really is. The cenote was as amazing as I thought it would be! For lunch, we had cochinita pibil. If you've seen chef's table, bbq edition, on netflix, it was the food from that episode. Sooooo GOOD!! I have nothing bad to say, I would 100% recommend to my family and friends.Written 20 July 2021
- rogermS5800OF0 contributionsGo early!!!We had a rental car so we got there early before the crowds. This place is tremendous and worth the effort to get to. Lots of vendors offering guide services for $1000 pesos but we did fine without one by reading a bit ahead of time, looking at the info posted, and eavesdropping one nearby tour guides on occasion. Tons of sellers offering everything from carved onyx to jaguar calls - haggle if you want to buy! We finished by noon and hit a nearby cenote for a bit which also less busy because the tour group crowds had not yet arrived.Written 4 June 2021

- Kaloymon0000 contributionsChichen Itzá Day Trip with Cenote Hubiku and Valladolid TourAll of it was amazing. We did this our first full day in Cancun and it was well worth it. It was about a 12 hour day but we saw so much. Got to experience not only the Mayan Ruins but the towns and culture. Loved every minute of it. Bring small bills and cash to spend and of course tip your driver if you do a tour.Written 19 May 2021
- wendimelcher0 contributionsChicken Itza Premiere TourWe had the Chichen Itza tour and they were amazing. They were the best for info and flow and showing us all the wonder this place had to offer. We had Adrian, David and Victor and bus driver was Pedro. They were the best hands down with info and flow and giving us the best experience. We would use them again. Its worth every penny.Written 11 January 2021

SCAM ALERT !!!
This company cheats people and BEWARE ..not trustworthy
We were asked to report at Lobby by 6:40 am and me and my family were down here at the lobby at 6:30AM . No one came to pick us up. Called the tour operator at 6:46 am only to be told that they came to the lobby and left . We stood at the front entrance a family of 4 and not one person entered the gated intercontinental Presidente ——
Most unprofessional and unethical company !!!
I called the company twice since 6:46 am and they keep saying that they came here , while the bell boy and the gate security both have denied any one coming in
Be very careful of this company —

Juan, Al and Raul of Ekinox Tours did an amazing job of guiding us for a full day of entertainment. Our day started from the Royalton Riviera Hideaway resort near Cancun. The Chichen Itza sacred area was unbelievable and Juan’s passion in teaching everyone it’s history was top notch! After 2 hrs at Chichen Itza, we ate delicious tacos at a local village restaurant and was entertained by local dancers with their ancient sounds and movements. From there we swam at the Ik Kil centone which was absolutely an amazing experience! Shopping at a village was our final experience of the day. All in all, an excellent day trip I highly recommend!!!!
