          Chichen Itza Tour
We selected the all inclusive package which said breakfast and coffee aboard as it was a 7 am pickup time. There were 8 of us that didn’t eat breakfast thinking we would on the bus but it was never served. When I asked the guide he said it was at the next stop but in reality it was 2 hours and a few activities before we were taken to eat the lunch buffet. Needless to say we were all starving by lunch cause we never received the breakfast as it said we would. Besides that everything was great.

          Shakedown!
Total shakedown and scam. Like many others we experienced the absolute worst two day tour ever. First we chased for weeks to be told 7.50am pick up late in the evening before the first trip to Chichenitza. We knew from the reviews they always come early and try not to pick you up so we were there 30 min early at 7.20am….only to be told they just left 10 min ago and where there a full 40 min early!!!! Our hotel tried to call them only to be told the phone line is disconnected. After a frantic 30 min we got a hold of someone on chat and to their credit they came back to pick us up but lied they texted us it was 6.40am pick up and tried to call but our phones were “disconnected”. After a short trip to a massive souvenir shop you are asked to pay an additional 1700 pesos which they also text you about the night before but refuse to give a breakdown for. Now we knew taxes were not included. Having calculated all the entrance fees and taxes we assumed it's for this as expected plus 500 pesos extra for drinks perhaps as we asked several times for the onboard bus drinks package. We were wrong. Water was at first 120 pesos down to 20 pesos by the end of the tour. They will also blast the aircon for the driver while you are out and then lower it once most people are back from the various walks so you are hot and desperate for a cold drink. Now interestingly some ppl did indeed have drinks included. They will also sell you bug spray and upsell obsidian glass, mayan horoscopes etc etc. The first day at Chichen Itza you will first go to a tourist trap shop where everything is double the price, watch a “shaman” blessing and then have lunch with dancers performing. Drinks or tips not included of course. Then at the top of the heat between 1pm and 2pm you will finally get to the pyramids. If you don't die from heatstroke and make it to the cenote it's well worth the 160 pesos for 2 lifejackets and a locker to cool down. This was admittedly the best cenote we have visited. Carlos the guide was actually very good too and spoke good English. The second day for Tulum and Coba we waited for a whole hour early just in case. Again you queue up to check in at the souvenir shop but when they asked for another 1700 pesos again and we said we paid yesterday they just put us on the naughty bench behind them and left us sitting there while everyone else left. Horrible extortionists practise that. After arguing with us “they are a different firm despite booking a two day tour” with the same people at check in, green-yellow bus with the TUI logo and company name, we finally agreed but said need to pay by card. Surprise, surprise it was cash only. Then they said we can pay at lunch. Suffice it to say we spend all the time at Tulum and Coba complaining to Viator absolutely ruining the trip. Finally at 3pm when there was yet another “shaman”, overpriced gift shop and lunch we were told we don't need to pay as Viator actually did get in touch with them. Funny that… Tulum really wasn't worth it. No water is allowed inside other than cans and refillable bottles, no plastic store bought ones supposedly if we can believe the upselling tour guide…you can't buy anything to drink inside at all! You were advised to buy a small bottle from the bus and hide it on your body. Definitely bring an umbrella and a fan or you will boil. Guides were not helping people with babies or the elderly even with the extreme heat. Unlike Chichen Itza no shops inside past the guards and no medical point either. Toilets we were told are paid so you must use the coffee shop where the bus stops anc must try the free ice cream sample(Id advised against that as most certainly made with tap water). The tour guide also gave a hard time to people who had their own bug spray or sunscreen as not eco friendly. You should buy from the bus of course. While I agree we must protect nature doubt their eco friendly options were better than others. Coba was more interesting. Do definitely pay 150 pesos plus tip for a tricycle and a man to cycle you down the main sites. Walking or pedalling yourself in the heat is just insane. Guide will not however wait for more tricycles if not enough so children and disabled people furst. You can no longer walk in or touch the pyramid there sadly. They now have ropes around it. This was quite disappointing as the only reason we booked this two day nightmare of 9 to 13 hours bus drive in the heat each day was to be able to walk up a pyramid in Coba as not allowed in Chichen Itza for years now. The cenote was very different here….a literal cave. Beautiful. Wish had more time to shop at Playa del Carmen too. The guide Ave was again knowledgeable and helpful despite the compulsory upselling. Overall the guides are very nice, there is usb phone charging and a toilet on the bus… but the company will scam you, shake your down for double the money and attempt to not pick you up even. You have got to tip the guides and the driver as well as the buffets too. Honestly this was by far one of the worst experiences we have had anywhere on the globe. Our advice- go with someone else and do a single day at Chichen Itza instead. The stress, the heat and the huge additional costs are just not worth it.

          ABANDONED & REFUSED A REFUND
I was ABANDONED by the tour & I am being REFUSED A REFUND. Many of us were picked up by a mini van to meet up with a tour bus that would bring us on our tour. I was the 1st to be picked up, and we were told several times by the driver that the bus is coming from Cancun & there is a lot of traffic, so it will be late (see other comments... this seems to be a ongoing occurrence). We were dropped off at a Penex, a gas station in Playa del Carmen to transfer to the bus. Before getting out of the van, the van driver tells us that we have time to go to the washroom or buy snacks/drinks in the store for, again, the bus is running late. I go get water in the (tiny) store. When I get out, everyone is GONE. I got check the other tour busses parked, thinking that my group probably already got on. No luck. The busses were empty. Not even bus drivers. I WAS LEFT BEHIND! I called Viator's call center (as per instructions in my coupon), a long distance call, & I was told that someone from the tour's management's team would contact me. More than an hour later, I get a message on Whatsapp to get into a taxi, to make my way to a certain restaurant (of which when I looked up is a (shaddy) hotel) and an hour drives & that they would pay for it. What? At that point, I was steps from my lodging. Also, I would of been 2 hours behind the tour. What's the point! Also, and then what? No one meets me and I have to pay (an hour long) cab ride!! After what just happened, I wasn't going to take the chance. When I got back to my lodging, I requested a refund and was REFUSED! STAY AWAY... stay away from Kbron Travels, Viator & Trip Advisor. I can believe that Viator & Trip Advisor would support & encourage these (unacceptable) practices.

Tour to Tulum, Coba, Cenote & Playa del Carmen
We were not told that the tour would be from 7:30am until 10:30pm. We were picked up at 7:30 and didn't arrive to Tulum until about 11/1130. We had to make several stops and then there were a lot of different lines and one last tax that you had to pay before entering the ruins. There was very little time to see everything before moving on to each stop. If you go I say stay close to the tour guide and make sure you know how long the tour will be. That was a very long day and a lot of walking. It was beautiful. Just be prepared.

          Not good.
Trip guide had us meet in a hotel that would not let us thru the gate to get to the meeting point. The gate operator told us the tour had left already and we couldn’t enter. Trip Advisor refused to refund us. Will not be using this site again.

          Sites to be Seen
Tour of Tulum, Coba archeological sites and the cenote was an experience never to forget. Our english tour guide was great and let us explore on our own after a brief history of the Tulum site. At the Coba site highly recommend renting bikes as it is a long trek to the actual site.

Chichen Iza Amazing, but beware of extra costs.
Chichen Itza was amazing. Our guide there, Sam, was very good. This stop alone made the whole day worth while. The Cenote was interesting to see. The town Valladollid wasn't really worth the stop, as it was a bunch of tour busses dropped off to shop. This stop was not about the town at all. The bad part was that they charged us more than double what the description said we'd have to pay for "taxes". We are working with Viator to try to get our money back for that.

          Highly recommended!
I booked 1/1/24 tour and was charged for it and received confirmation the day before. But I also received the tour operator's email on Dec 30 that said the tour on 1/1/24 was cancelled due to operation issue. I responded and rescheduled to 1/2/24. Email was not replied until one day later but I was glad that we received the confirmation. The tour was well organized. Some had to leave our bus to go to another tour. We were combined with another tour at Tulum. But overall it was very nice. Glad to have a taste of Tulum, Coba, lunch buffet at 3:45 pm, and Playa del Carmen. All quick stops but nice.

Recommended but could’ve been a bit better
Great tour. Sadly, we weren’t able to visit Valladolid bcz according to the tour guide the entry to the city wasn’t allowed during the New Year’s Eve. The Tour guide, Ivan, was very nice and welcoming however, he barely spoke English during his explanations. You’d understand the gist of everything but I would’ve just preferred to hear all the things he said about the Mayan history in English too. Cenote at the end was awesome, had lots of fun! All in all a good experience and I’d recommend it, although a bit expensive.

          Not the best service
Not the best customer service. The driver was an excellent driver although it was super windy & pouring rain we arrived safely at the hotel. Also we lost a lot of time for the tour because too many transfers. One stop we lost 45 minutes waiting for the other bus to arrive so some passengers can transfer to go to a different tour. I come here every year. But will try other servicer.

Trip booked online via Viator to ChichenItza, Cenote, Valladolid
Overall ok. Very pleasant and polite. At Chichen-Itza the NEW guide said to go through the line and meet him the other side but we could not find him(suggestions-guide should have a Number sign or an umbrella or some sign for group to know their guide). Per online itinerary Cenote was to be 2 hours but we were given 1 hour. Valladolid was to be 45 minutes per online itinerary, we were given 14 minutes and that included a restroom stop. But we had to wait inside the vehicle for 30 mins so this was very disappointing. Valladolid had so restaurants and was vibrant so we should have been there atleast 45 minutes to explore (preferably 2 hrs). We asked our guide why the delay but were not provided any reason.

時間:45分 ------ ②------ We are visiting cenote maya and not suytun for the moment please inform us your hotel name as soon as possible Best regard ------ ③------ 立ち寄り先: cenote x-cajum おそらくメインのセノーテ 入る場合は浮具必須(追加費用徴収) 昼食はビュッフェ 立ち寄り先: Chichen Itza チチェンイッツァ380ペソ追加徴収(全員) 立ち寄り先: cenote tekom 着替える場所もなく、ただの井戸のような場所 入る場合は浮具必須(追加費用徴収) 立ち寄り先: Valladolid 自由時間ではなく提携しているお土産屋さんに寄っただけ。テキーラの試飲。 ------

I am out of my shell!
This was a great experience! So much fun! And I'm speaking as an introvert. You get the proper training for safety in order to fully enjoy each excursion. I tried the ATV, Zip-lining and Cenote and had a blast! I wish I had a Go Pro...that would have made for some awesome footage! Lunch was pretty good too! Staff was friendly and engaging. I wish though, that the pictures/videos they take can be made available to purchase, even at a later date. I'm hopeful! I'll inquire...

          Won’t be doing this again
When reserved made request for English speaking guide well got one that spoke enough English to get by, so directions in Spanish 20 minutes plus in English 3 minutes. They guide was very sweet and tried. The food for the lunch was delicious and the fresh tortillas being made was fun to watch. One thing in particular that was upsetting this young girl had fallen and scraped her knees up when I asked the one tour guide for the Spanish speaking people for some ice and maybe some napkins ( there was a restaurant right next to the bus) she stated “ I don’t have time” I know she was getting waters as the passengers were getting on the bus, but she could have just grabbed a couple instead I got off the bus, which irritated people try to get on the bus. I also did not understand why I was charged another 32 dollars when I had already paid 150 for the tour when I reserved it should have been added at time of booking. So a 50 dollar tour ended up costing 83.66 one you paid for up grade, extra fee, and life jacket rentals. We have done similar tours on previous visits and this one did not meet expectations.

We really loved the Street Food Tour in Cancun. Our tour guide, Alexis, was very nice and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and explained what we were going to eat and the preparation of the different foods before we arrived at each place. Be sure to let the guide know if you have an allergy or other issues. I don't, but he was able to let me know about spicy levels! Our driver, Angel, did a great job as well and was always right there with the shuttle when we finished at each location. We went to 2 outdoor restaurants, 1 indoor restaurant, and an outdoor place for dessert. The food and portion sizes were delicious and filling. I suggest not having breakfast first. We also got a drink of choice at each location. For dessert, we had our choice of like 20 popsicle fruit or cream based flavors. We liked that it was a day tour because it didn't take away from being able to eat at our resort. The guide said the night tours visit different places. There was not a lot of walking, and the locations were just a short drive in between each. The locations and food were truly authentic and you were eating like a local. We also had time to walk around with our guide at the mercado. There were grocery and merchandise shops. The meat shops had butchered animals in full view, so if you are squeamish, let the tour guide know to avoid that section. Would definitely recommend this tour.
