- 123Robbiel0 contributionsFantastic!Hubs made the choice of this one, although I’m 72 I figured by the other reviews I could do this, with torn miniscus. Very doable, exciting, fun, pretty easy. Little ear pressure going down ladder, but the instruction to yawn, etc worked well. Don’t normally buy photos or videos but they show you before you leave on a large screen tv, it is a great video for our last hurrah for the older couple. Great company to work with, divers were awesome stirring up the fish and a big crab in his house and the spiny something we held. The fish fed out of my hand and could feel little bites, no pain but cute. There are no regrets taking this excursion. We were there off a cruise, found it on TripAdvisor as wasn’t listed anywhere. Don’t miss it! Very fun !!! Better than snorkeling!Written 2 December 2024
- 746emmanuelg0 contributionsUnique and recommended!Very fun! Staff was friendly and the process was simple and fast to get into the water. You really dont meed to know how to swim or worry about much as you can hold on to a rope under water the whole way! We all felt very safe as there were 3-4 divers around us, guiding and checking on us the whole way. The head guide was very knowledgable and had did some pretty cool tricks in the water. You will interact with sea life and creatures along with cool scenery. Cons: The helmet can be a bit noisy dude the air bubbles and system but if you control your breathing the noise will calm down a lot! The photos and video were amazing but a bit on the pricey side. All in all i would do this excursion again.Written 2 September 2024

- caroliG7627OZ0 contributionsA memorable adventureIt was amazing to experience the ocean from the floor. They had about six guides to make sure we were comfortable and safe. Thanks for a wonderful experience.Written 11 July 2024
- kymberleehunter260 contributionsBest excursion in CozumelSea Trek was a wonderful experience. The divers were amazing. Jose, the host was fabulous.. I would recommend this experience. Excellent the water is gorgeous. It’s always a plus when you get two free cocktailsWritten 31 May 2024
- K3349SSbiancac0 contributionsUNDERWATER AWESOMENESS!!! 🐟 👌OMG!!! You have got to try this!!! If you're a floater like me and cannot dive underwater without being weighed down this is the excursion for you. It was fun, so breathtaking and exhilarating to be underwater and walking on the sea floor. I was just marveled and amazed to see things up front without a glass wall between me and the marine life. I loved every minute of this excursion!! 😍 So much happiness in my heart to feed the fish and have them swimming around me. I even got to hold a spiny crab, in other terms a very terrifying sea spider. Something of what nightmares are made of, but soooooo AWESOME! The staff was amazing and informative. Jose and his crew are the BEST!! We were treated to a couple of drinks afterwards. It was just beautiful to sit by the water, drink our margaritas and take in views of the ocean reminiscing on the things we just witnessed under water which are now forever in my memory bank. I am forever grateful to my wonderful hubby for booking this for us. He's a diver and this was the first time for us to experience the wonderful world of underwater together. ❤️Written 21 May 2024
- W908CMalanr0 contributionsFunnest excision on my cruiseThe staff was very nice and thorough with what to do. They take all the pictures for you and even let you hold some of the sea creatures. They feed the fish to ensure you get to see a wide array of different fish. Would highly recommend.Written 11 May 2024
- hartley940 contributionsGreat ExcursionVery nice area to sit after the Snuba excursion. The employees were very nice and helpful. When we went, we were the only ones doing the excursion so it was very quiet - would highly recommend! It's about a 10 minute $10 taxi ride to the locationWritten 11 May 2024
- C130XYchristopherr0 contributionsSuper fun experienceJose and the dive team were all awesome. They made sure we enjoyed the experience and let us interact with lots of sea creatures. It was an easy way to get some diving experience.Written 25 April 2024
- WilliamsportPA0 contributionsSolid RecommendationEnjoyed the experience very much. My partner was sick and couldn't participate, so he waited while I did the trek. The heavy helmet was almost weightless under water. Breathing was natural, no different than on land. Guides spend a lot of time getting pictures (to sell you), but they also get the fish to swim around you (so pictures can be taken -- lol). When the fish food is put in your hand, the fish bite (it surprises more than hurts). Only negative comment is the lack of enthusiasm by the employees, their flatline personalities. Solid recommendation.Written 13 April 2024
- CruisinNana20150 contributionsA Bucket List ActivityA MUST DO! The staff was so awesome. The young men were very patient. We had some water scared folks with us and they were very patient with them. The helmets were clean however I did use my own wipes just in case. The walking under water experience was amazing. We saw lots of fish. We underestimated the time on our ferry ride over from Playa so we were late for our appointment, The guys were very considerate and allowed us to go with a later group. If you have sinus issues I suggest taking a snus pill about 1 hour before your time to ensure your head an ears stay clear so you can enjoy your time walking under water.Written 27 March 2024
- Etainmoon0 contributionsAmazing experience!Absolutely one of the best experiences I've ever had. The guys are very professional, it's well organised, and easy instructions to follow. Even my husband, who cannot swim, was able to do this, and thoroughly enjoyed it, and felt very safe. Highly recommend these guys. Will do it all over again😊👍Written 21 March 2024
- Huffy340 contributionsExcellent Trip! This excursion was awesome! My husband and I along with my sister and her husband were together. They explained everything very well and took good care of us. My husband wears glaces and I was able to wear them on the excursion. It was really fun and I would recommend this to anyone!!!! Sabrina FWritten 26 February 2024
- E5497WSrf0 contributionsPut Your Helmet On and Go Under...Excellent experience. Book through an excursion company which had great directions and information about the helmet trek. They had lockers to store our items and good information before going under water. The time under water was great. There were two divers with us, one to shoot video and the other giving us the "tour". It was a unique experience for us and went by extremely quickly. There is lots to look at and experience. Was able to arrange purchase of the pictures (40+) and video (1) after returning home. Our experience even included two drinks at the restaurant that Sea Trek is located at. The Taxi station is basically across the street so it was easy to get to and get back from. Had great Mexican customer service. Enjoy the experience!Written 2 February 2024
- Relax338880 contributionsThe bestThe divers who accompanied us were so helpful in our navigation around underwater. The view was unbelievable!! Seeing saltwater fish up close was thrilling! This excursion is a 5+ star review from me. Thanks guys!Written 16 January 2024

Had such an awesome time, definitely an experience walking on the ocean floor!
Pros: Unique, felt safe, cool experience, great staff, easy once you get used to it
Cons: Very short time actually under water, there really wasn't much to look at (no coral to see up close and very little ocean life in that particular area while walking)
Improvements: there was a lot of prompting for pictures, like constantly, less would be better so we could actually enjoy the experience. Staff could possibly feed the fish so they're actually around us to see if that's allowed.

I was very nervous about this, but it was a breeze to do. You step on a ladder on the pier to go down into the water. As you enter the water, they put the helmet on you and it is NOT heavy. It does NOT close around your neck but instead, has air pumped in through a hose. This air is for your breathing and at the same time, forces the water to stay below the helmet. You breathe naturally and the staff reviews hand signals in advance so you can communicate with them. (Several are in the water with you and one was above, floating and watching us while also observing the air hoses.) When the last person was down the ladder, they confirmed that our ear pressure was fine and that we were ready to go for a little walk. There were oodles of fish right in front of us, but not a large variety. They guided us throughout the walk, took our pictures, pulled out a plastic shark from under a rock for a little humor and made it fun. The time flew by and it was time to go up the ladder and share our very positive experience.

This wasn't what was offered. We were in the water for ten minutes when we were promised 30 minutes at least. Entry was uneven on a rock base, nothing was set up in terms of any rails or ropes to follow. Nothing to guide you and nothing to look at. We have been to Xel-Ha as well Aruba both were great experiences. This was unsafe with nothing to see, nothing to guide you and there was nothing to attract the fish. It was the worse ever. They kept us sitting there indicating people were ahead of us when there was no one and no equipment was put out on the dock until just before 12 noon. Part of our group was booked for 10 am and the other noon and we asked if they could take us all at 10 and they told us no indicating there were groups ahead of us. We were the only group of the day. We were sitting right across at the beach and there were no groups ahead of us or behind us. It was a joke. Misrepresentation.

Hello! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. However, it looks like some information is just not right. Let's take a look...
We strived very hard to give you the best possible experience. The delay was due to your request to dive together with your travel companion who was in a different time slot. Our GM personally traveled all the way from downtown with extra equipment just so you two could dive together.
Bottom Time: It looks like your group received full bottom time. According to our surveillance camera, it shows your group entered the water at 12:00 noon and were out of the water at 12:28 PM. We keep the bottom time between 25 to 35 minutes similar to basic SCUBA diving while breathing compressed air.
We don't attract fish by feeding them as they may do in other places; this goes against the fish natural feeding behaviors. The fish are usually plentiful.
We take our service very seriously, after all, it's our livelihood and misrepresentation is something we DO NOT do.
I hope you enjoyed the rest of your vacation.
Sincerely,

There wasn’t much to see. Very underwhelming. Saw a few fish and they showed us dolphins that were on the other side of some netting, so you could barely see them. It was a neat experience but could’ve been much better had there been more fish or more to see.

Hi and thank you for touching on what a "neat" experience this was.
Looks like the guide was hoping to give you a special treat by taking you to the dolphin pen. Usually the dolphins come up close to the net and check you out. As for the lack of fish, I'm not sure what happened, they're free to swim around. We don't attract them by feeding them; this goes against their natural feeding behaviors.

Imanol gave us an amazing trek and very clear instructions to keep us safe, he was also very accommodating: he was supposed to start at 10 AM but we had an activity at 10:20 AM so he started 30 minutes early and gave us the trek at 9:30. The pictures and videos he took of us are great too, this activity was pure joy and a must if you've never been fully underwater.
