Beautiful!
Dec 2019 • Friends
Uxmal light and sound show was beautiful. The dancers , the lights, the sound and story telling were amazing. I visited Uxmal summer of 2018 and fell in love with it. We walked through Uxmal during the day and heard the history of it from a guide and waited until night time for the night show. They set up chairs on top of a ruin so you get this beautiful overview of the show. If you are ever in beautiful Yucatán please do take this tour.

Nov 2019
We began our tour at 12:15pm. We were driven to Uxmal in a very comfortable Mercedes-Benz mini bus. Our guide then treated us to a planetarium show that explained some of mythology and logic that underpinned the building of Uxmal, and the related cultural developments. We then walked around the archeological site where our guide, Rosendo Pech, described the meaning of various symbols on the buildings and some of their architectural points of interest. We then retired for a meal in the large Uxmal hacienda. The food was very good, and the staff were careful to provide suitable food to one of our companions what a vegan. After dinner we went back to the ruins to watch the sound and light show. Unfortunately, it was entirely in Spanish, so we were unable to understand the commentary. At the conclusion of the show, we returned back to our hotels (about 8:30pm). Overall, we enjoyed our day, but we were disappointed in the sound and light show. Our guide, Rosendo, was nevertheless very careful to look after those of us who were less able physically to climb some of the stairs.

Mérida, 2019
My husband & I had the opportunity to travel & selected Yucatán Merida. Without a doubt, an amazing, beautiful & fascinating city. Part of our stay while in Merida, a must see is Uxmal! We truly enjoyed our visit to the ruin site & luckily for us, Rosendo Pech was our tour guide for our day. He is a very knowledgeable, professional & very detail orientated person making our tour even more memorable than ever. We highly recommend having him as your guide.
Happy travels!
