Amazing tour of Isla Contoy, Snorkeling at Ixlache Reef and Isla Mujeres
The tour of Isla Contoy and Isla Mujeres was amazing! Isla Mujeres was a beautiful shopping island which I wish I could have spent more than 1 hour at. It was my first time snorkeling, so when we went snorkeling in the Ixlache Reef, I didn’t really like it. I couldn’t see many fish and the reef wasn’t as colorful as I imagined. Once we got to Isla Contoy, I was amazed. We ate a wonderful Mexican buffet and then had many hours of free time to relax at the beach and then do an optional hike of the island that was accessible to visitors. The water was the clearest water I had ever seen in my life. It was amazing and the water was very warm when I went in February. The sand on the beach wasn’t the best since there was a lot of seaweed, but the sand was soft nonetheless. The beach was closed off on two ends with a dock in the middle for the boats that arrive. There are little hermit crabs along with frigate birds everywhere on the island, it is so cool. For the hike, my guide showed us one of the lakes and brought us to the highest point on the island and the other shore of the island. Overall, my guides were amazing and I am so happy I did this tour!

        A wonderful experience for everyone
It was an amazing experience for us including our 8 year old. We were sceptical about this tour but it truly turned out to be so much fun. We took the plus experience with the bike ride and repel into a cave. Our guide was Imelda and she was very nice and knowledgeable and made sure everyone had a great time and was safe. Photos were $30 each (digital only) or 120$ usd for all of them in digital version. The food was delicious at the included buffet and transportation was efficient.

My husband and I had a fantastic rio secreto experience with Aaron our guide! Aaron was very informative about the caves and also made us laugh throughout the entire tour. We recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Playa del Carmen and Tulum areas.

        A great day of fun!
Loved the adrenaline rush I got from riding the atvs around the property in the jungle! Very fast and a good workout. Our English guide Bosch was excellent and very knowledgeable about the caves and the Cenote that we explored after the ride was over! The water wad prrfect it starts off cold but further into the cave it's nice and Luke warm. I only wished I was able to bring my own phone to capture pictures without being charged for perfect posed pics.

        Awesome experience!! Highly recommend.
Sarah was our guide and she was awesome! She was passionate about her work and it showed. She made an amazing natural wonder even more amazing. The property was clean and well kept. They are serious there about conservation and education which is great. Would recommend the earliest time slot possible. When we got there, it was quiet and not at all crowded. When we were leaving it had gotten very crowded. One of the best excursions we have ever done. Highly recommend it for kids and adults. Great experience.

        Pretty good, not great.
We took this tour in February of 2024. The good stuff: The tour leader was knowledgeable, friendly, and fluent in English and Spanish. She welcomed questions and was straightforward about history and culture. She certainly was the highlight of the trip. The Coba ruins are amazing! Much more impressive to our family than the Tulum ruins. Be sure to stop and look at he first court and temple complex, just on the right as you enter the walking path. It is staggeringly impressive and left my son staring opened mouthed. Coba is definitely worth the effort. The Meh…While the cenote swim was fun for the whole family, it is not the cenote pictured on the web page. Generally the one we went to is not as colorful or as spectacular as many i have seen. The promised lunch was mediocre (tough the wildlife around it was entertaining for the kids). The ruins of Tulum are spectacular, and spectacularly overcrowded. We were there on a Monday and it was not possible to get away from the crowd. The Not so good: While the family understands the logistics involved in putting bands of people together, the tour picked us up at 7 am and we were not on the road until 9 am, which meant, except for paying some tax or other fee, we sat in a stationary bus for two hours. We then went out of our way to pick up three more tour participants from one of the mega resorts. This meant that we skipped breakfast, were hungry for the better part of the day, and were crushed for time the remainder of the day. Giving us a location to meet and the time to be there would be much more useful. Overall this was an average, tho spendy, tour. Coba is definitely worth the time and effort.

        Amazing place to visit!
Incredible adventure, amazingly beautiful. I suggest you skip the dry cave and rappelling “upgrade”, not worth the additional time/money. Lunch provided was 2/5 stars. Option to buy your photos at the end, $90 USD for all or $30 USD for one. We went to the gift shop and bought a book for $15 that tells the history with lots of beautiful pictures.

the show was amazing and organized well. Flying acrobats, laser show, lights, music. A lot of security at the entrance. So it feels safe inside.

Mother Nature at its Best… truly a unique experience!!
This was a truly unique experience that exceeded our expectations!!Diego was our guide and he led our team of 12 through a maze of underground caverns filled with stalagmites and stalactites. We waded or swam in crystal clear waters. Diego was very patient and guided us with care and respect through the delicate formations. The company is well organized with good quality wetsuits, life jackets, helmets with headlamps and walking sticks. They provided water shoes for those who didn’t have any and towels for drying off. A simple buffet lunch was provided after the 3 hour tour. The cave waters are cool so the wetsuits were an asset. Expect to be in the caves for about 80% of the 3.5 hour tour. It is definitely an experience you will never forget! A photographer accompanies every team to take pictures as they don’t allow personal cameras or iPhones- there’s not enough light.

Cave is OK, experience is embarrassingly dated money-milking
The extra $135 (US dollars) photo thing. This is the most embarrassing, unprofessional hidden cost a TripAdvisor-listed experience can do. It makes this tour feel a dated, low quality, petty scam. I asked (pointed out the price tag so that others became aware of it) about the price during the activity, and our young guide, who very well knew the answer, felt very embarrassed and blushed etc. I felt sorry for him. Dear management, shame on you. In 2024, this should not exist at all, and in fact, other cave explorations in the area are much friendlier (especially to solo travelers who can't batch up to split the stellar price) and give more for cheaper. Also, cenotes in the area are more worth visiting. At the end, this is just a (large) limestone cave, which you can find in many other countries, so its uniqueness is questionable; what would have been nice to learn about, is the Maya cultures' connection to its underworld-resembling interior, but this experience is apparently more about milking money from you, and not making it interesting for you. The cave itself is nice, and you get to do and see many of the cave-y interesting things. Not too adventurous tho, very beginner-friendly, great for unfit people, too. Facilities are well made, equipment is good enough. Lunch has many choices and tasty. If the shameful forced "action photos" would be gone, this review would be a strong 4 stars. It's an okay thing to spend a day (as a family/group), but if you have ever seen a cave in your life then rather do something else around PdC, money buys so much more here than this cave.

        Rio Secreto: Amazing
Tour went well beyond expectations. The location is remote but transport was very efficient. Once there, you are placed in small groups with your guide. We were with Mich. I can say you will not find a more passionate or informed guide anywhere... he was great! He made the portion of the tour where equipment is distributed run smoothly. What we liked the most was that he was able to share some personal experiences as a cave-diver himself. His observations about the eco-system were excellent. The caves themselves are spectacular in person. Nothing prepares you for for the sheer size of the cave system...the only caution about this tour is rather simple: be in good physical shape for stairs and the drop offs. The water is very cold, opt for the free wetsuit. If tighter, darker, enclosed spaces (and bats) bother you, this tour will not be for you. If you're ok with this, you will enjoy this awesome tour of one of natures true wonders. Throw in that great food and tequila at the end and it was a 10/10 for us.

By far the best experience I've ever had in my life. The cave and water was just magical. Ask to be put with Dani the tour guide. He was wonderful and passionate about the cave and respecting the cave. I would recommend anyone to do this!

We had a great time on this tour, however felt it was a little disjointed and not quite as advertised. In the write up description when booking I was expecting the trip to Tullum first, followed by zip line then a ‘Mayan lunch’ and rappelling into a cenote to finish. What we actually got was starting with zip lining, followed by cenote swim and lunch in a sort of outdoor canteen at the centre where the zip line activity was and then we went off to Tullum. There was no Mayan lunch nor rappelling! So although we did have a great time enjoying everything we did, I felt a bit short changed! The guide acknowledged that we did not get chance to do the rappelling, this was due to the rest of our group doing the atv instead of zip line and so we were out of sinc and did not have time to do the rappelling. I have no idea what happened to the Mayan lunch but we were not offered any refunds or compensation and so feel it was slightly over priced for what we got.

My friend and I had such an amazing experience here :) The title says 4x4 ride but that was not included, we were too excited to even remember asking about it. However the zip lining was so cool, doing the small ritual before going into the jungle was very interesting and was really calming. The cenotes were beautiful and although they were a little cold at first, It was easy to adjust. Hugo, our guide throughout the jungle was filled with a lot of enthusiasm and funny. He really made the experience enjoyable. He definitely knew his information on the park.

Jose our tour guide into Tulum was very informative and awesome. He provided alot of interesting information about Tulum, the Mayans' and their culture. Unforgettable experience!

Overall a must have experience when visiting the Yucatan Peninsula :)

12/21/22- The adrenaline rush was amazing. The activities were great. The staff was nice. It was worth the adventure. Highly recommend.

The van ride to the tour took about 2 hours. We wanted to drive but they said no because the location was private. We had to switch vans and drivers several times. You cannot take pictures and are left deciding if you want to purchase their photos. And although they took great photos and videos the price was $155 usd. Little steep in my opinion. We did not purchase we have the permanent memories with us. So the transportation and the cost of photos we didn’t care for but it didn’t stop us from having an amazing time.
The staff was very kind. My husband got sick right before we visited the ruins and the driver was very kind in helping us. Thank you for your kindness.

This is an amazing tour. You get picked up from your hotel by your guide. Our Gide was Miguel. We first went to Tulum.

Miguel's knowledge of Tulum and the Maya was amazing. While at Tulum, Miguel gave an amazing history of Tulum, the Mayas, and the Yucatán peninsula. He continued to answer questions regarding the Mayas after we left Tulum. The view from Tulum was incredible. The architecture was neat to see. It was interesting to learn that the Mayas built their buildings in correspondence with the sun and the seasons.

After Tulum we went to a zipline course. Before the ziplines you meet with a Maya shaman who performs a blessing ritual on your group.

We did 5 ziplines with one ending in a cenotes. The ziplines were very safe and you are doubly secured to the lines. I felt safe having my 9 year old go on the course.

You also have the opportunity to rappel ~50 feet into a cenote. This was also done safely.

You have a chance to swim in two different cenotes. One of the snorkeling/swimming cenotes is done with flashlights through a small cave system. This could be someone scary for someone who is claustrophobic; however, for the adventurous is awesome. We were able to see multiple freshwater fish and discuss how the cave/cenotes system developed over time.

After the adventure is over you get to eat a meal that is prepared for you by the local Maya. The fresh corn tortillas (they make them in front of you) chicken tacos were amazing. It was my family's favorite meal of our trip.

The pictures they take of you, which cost extra, are very well done. I would recommending spending the money at the end of the excursion to purchase the pictures.

The snorkeling in the cenote is soooo beautiful best part of the tour. Do not be scared off by the cold water it is definitely worth adjusting to. I would recommend them swapping the tour and doing tulum first then end with the zip lines and cenotes.

We had THE BEST time! Unfortunately due to COVID, Tulum was closed and we weren’t able to do the ruins tour. We did do the cenotes park portion of the activity and it was amazing! Our guides, Eric and Jorge were funny, welcoming, so friendly, and full of information about the area, history and cenotes.
We lucked out that we were the first group of the day and it was only my friend and I. So we got a more personal one on one experience and we had the whole place to ourselves for the first part of the tour. We even had a little extra time to freely swim in the cenotes at the end.
The ziplining was fun as well! Eric and Jorge were all about safety and made it so fun!
They provided us with lunch at the end, and it was delicious!!!
I would definitely recommend this tour!
We did purchase our picture package. We selected the link and the clerk made sure we got the link to our email before we left.

We went on an all day adventure from Playa del Carmen which included zip-lining, ATV's, cenote "swimming" and a stop at Tulum. CJ, our guide was outstanding. Can't say enough about what a great guide he was. Our only disappointment, which was really no one's fault, was the short amount of time we had at Tulum (the last stop of the day). We arrived there at 2:30 and had to leave at 3:30, and it's a 15 minute into the ruins from the parking area and a 15 minute walk back, so we only had about 30 minutes at the ruins, not enough time. On a future trip, I'd book an excursion exclusively for the the ruins, or at least one that offers more time there.

Had an amazing time! Our family explored the Mayan’s Ruins, did ziplining, explored the Cenote, and Snorkeling. Our Mayan’s Ruins tour guide Robertho was extremely knowledgable, Alex was a great tour guide through all of our adventures, and our driver Robert ensure we got see several areas from and to our excursion. The beginning of our trip was going well our driver Juan Pablo drove amazing and Jens was very knowledgeable including our tour guide to Tulum ruins Raul was great! But that was about it i had called prior to purchasing regarding accommodations due to weight limit, they verbalized and agreed to accommodate the zip-lines and repelling rope which they did not and even stated they were short handed and my brother in law would have to walk to meet us at the cenotes we asked for a refund for his ticket, they refused. Our trip stopped there and no activities were done

Thank you very much for sharing your experience. We are really sorry you decided to stop doing the activities. The weight limit in this activity is for the passenger security, we could not accommodate a refund since the tour already starts.

Fantastic day trip! There had to be at least 10 zip lines across the forest, followed by the roller coaster zip line followed by the quad side-by-side riding and ending up with bungee jumping and then a swim in the cenote!! I highly recommend this to everyone. They do not offer this at the main desks, you have to go talk to a best day travel agent. They get you a far better deal and have way more to offer than the ones in the lobby.
