About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Trip482865454400 contributionsAverage. Would have been good if the tour was focused on the tour itselfThe guide needs to understand what the customers want and why they are taking tours. Lots of distractions during the tourWritten 16 January 2025
- raynellr20220 contributionsTerrible Communication and Customer ServiceI emailed this company in a timely manner to request pickup time and location. Noone responded to me nor did they respond in a timely manner to our travel agency. They are also reluctant to give us a refund and stated that we did not show up. What reputable tour company does not provide the necessary details to its patrons when requested? What courteous company does not reach out via email or telephone if they are not seeing their patrons? They only responded at 2pm for a tour that was supposed to take place at 7am that same morning. A response was only received from them when a refund was demanded. I would not recommend anyone to use these services.Written 13 January 2025
- Dawn C0 contributionsThis was an amazing adventure! We repelled, zip lined, kayaked, and saw five cenotes. Antonio was an amazing guide.I couldn’t stop smiling all day. My favorite part was swimming through the most beautiful denote to get to our cliff dive.Written 5 January 2025
- LuxxeTravels0 contributionsLack of CommunicationABSOLUTELY the worst! There was no communication by Kbron, the numbers on their website were not working and despite multiple emails, my travelling party of 3 were left waiting. I requested a full refund via Expedia so I await and will be back to update.Written 2 January 2025
- P3120IBashleyb0 contributionsChichen Itza TourWe selected the all inclusive package which said breakfast and coffee aboard as it was a 7 am pickup time. There were 8 of us that didn’t eat breakfast thinking we would on the bus but it was never served. When I asked the guide he said it was at the next stop but in reality it was 2 hours and a few activities before we were taken to eat the lunch buffet. Needless to say we were all starving by lunch cause we never received the breakfast as it said we would. Besides that everything was great.Written 25 August 2024
- InsoD0 contributionsShakedown!Total shakedown and scam. Like many others we experienced the absolute worst two day tour ever. First we chased for weeks to be told 7.50am pick up late in the evening before the first trip to Chichenitza. We knew from the reviews they always come early and try not to pick you up so we were there 30 min early at 7.20am….only to be told they just left 10 min ago and where there a full 40 min early!!!! Our hotel tried to call them only to be told the phone line is disconnected. After a frantic 30 min we got a hold of someone on chat and to their credit they came back to pick us up but lied they texted us it was 6.40am pick up and tried to call but our phones were “disconnected”. After a short trip to a massive souvenir shop you are asked to pay an additional 1700 pesos which they also text you about the night before but refuse to give a breakdown for. Now we knew taxes were not included. Having calculated all the entrance fees and taxes we assumed it's for this as expected plus 500 pesos extra for drinks perhaps as we asked several times for the onboard bus drinks package. We were wrong. Water was at first 120 pesos down to 20 pesos by the end of the tour. They will also blast the aircon for the driver while you are out and then lower it once most people are back from the various walks so you are hot and desperate for a cold drink. Now interestingly some ppl did indeed have drinks included. They will also sell you bug spray and upsell obsidian glass, mayan horoscopes etc etc. The first day at Chichen Itza you will first go to a tourist trap shop where everything is double the price, watch a “shaman” blessing and then have lunch with dancers performing. Drinks or tips not included of course. Then at the top of the heat between 1pm and 2pm you will finally get to the pyramids. If you don't die from heatstroke and make it to the cenote it's well worth the 160 pesos for 2 lifejackets and a locker to cool down. This was admittedly the best cenote we have visited. Carlos the guide was actually very good too and spoke good English. The second day for Tulum and Coba we waited for a whole hour early just in case. Again you queue up to check in at the souvenir shop but when they asked for another 1700 pesos again and we said we paid yesterday they just put us on the naughty bench behind them and left us sitting there while everyone else left. Horrible extortionists practise that. After arguing with us “they are a different firm despite booking a two day tour” with the same people at check in, green-yellow bus with the TUI logo and company name, we finally agreed but said need to pay by card. Surprise, surprise it was cash only. Then they said we can pay at lunch. Suffice it to say we spend all the time at Tulum and Coba complaining to Viator absolutely ruining the trip. Finally at 3pm when there was yet another “shaman”, overpriced gift shop and lunch we were told we don't need to pay as Viator actually did get in touch with them. Funny that… Tulum really wasn't worth it. No water is allowed inside other than cans and refillable bottles, no plastic store bought ones supposedly if we can believe the upselling tour guide…you can't buy anything to drink inside at all! You were advised to buy a small bottle from the bus and hide it on your body. Definitely bring an umbrella and a fan or you will boil. Guides were not helping people with babies or the elderly even with the extreme heat. Unlike Chichen Itza no shops inside past the guards and no medical point either. Toilets we were told are paid so you must use the coffee shop where the bus stops anc must try the free ice cream sample(Id advised against that as most certainly made with tap water). The tour guide also gave a hard time to people who had their own bug spray or sunscreen as not eco friendly. You should buy from the bus of course. While I agree we must protect nature doubt their eco friendly options were better than others. Coba was more interesting. Do definitely pay 150 pesos plus tip for a tricycle and a man to cycle you down the main sites. Walking or pedalling yourself in the heat is just insane. Guide will not however wait for more tricycles if not enough so children and disabled people furst. You can no longer walk in or touch the pyramid there sadly. They now have ropes around it. This was quite disappointing as the only reason we booked this two day nightmare of 9 to 13 hours bus drive in the heat each day was to be able to walk up a pyramid in Coba as not allowed in Chichen Itza for years now. The cenote was very different here….a literal cave. Beautiful. Wish had more time to shop at Playa del Carmen too. The guide Ave was again knowledgeable and helpful despite the compulsory upselling. Overall the guides are very nice, there is usb phone charging and a toilet on the bus… but the company will scam you, shake your down for double the money and attempt to not pick you up even. You have got to tip the guides and the driver as well as the buffets too. Honestly this was by far one of the worst experiences we have had anywhere on the globe. Our advice- go with someone else and do a single day at Chichen Itza instead. The stress, the heat and the huge additional costs are just not worth it.Written 14 June 2024
- Cindy C0 contributionsABANDONED & REFUSED A REFUNDI was ABANDONED by the tour & I am being REFUSED A REFUND. Many of us were picked up by a mini van to meet up with a tour bus that would bring us on our tour. I was the 1st to be picked up, and we were told several times by the driver that the bus is coming from Cancun & there is a lot of traffic, so it will be late (see other comments... this seems to be a ongoing occurrence). We were dropped off at a Penex, a gas station in Playa del Carmen to transfer to the bus. Before getting out of the van, the van driver tells us that we have time to go to the washroom or buy snacks/drinks in the store for, again, the bus is running late. I go get water in the (tiny) store. When I get out, everyone is GONE. I got check the other tour busses parked, thinking that my group probably already got on. No luck. The busses were empty. Not even bus drivers. I WAS LEFT BEHIND! I called Viator's call center (as per instructions in my coupon), a long distance call, & I was told that someone from the tour's management's team would contact me. More than an hour later, I get a message on Whatsapp to get into a taxi, to make my way to a certain restaurant (of which when I looked up is a (shaddy) hotel) and an hour drives & that they would pay for it. What? At that point, I was steps from my lodging. Also, I would of been 2 hours behind the tour. What's the point! Also, and then what? No one meets me and I have to pay (an hour long) cab ride!! After what just happened, I wasn't going to take the chance. When I got back to my lodging, I requested a refund and was REFUSED! STAY AWAY... stay away from Kbron Travels, Viator & Trip Advisor. I can believe that Viator & Trip Advisor would support & encourage these (unacceptable) practices.Written 24 April 2024
- M9969MQjohns0 contributionsSites to be SeenTour of Tulum, Coba archeological sites and the cenote was an experience never to forget. Our english tour guide was great and let us explore on our own after a brief history of the Tulum site. At the Coba site highly recommend renting bikes as it is a long trek to the actual site.Written 21 March 2024
- I3975KMdawnd0 contributionsChichen Iza Amazing, but beware of extra costs.Chichen Itza was amazing. Our guide there, Sam, was very good. This stop alone made the whole day worth while. The Cenote was interesting to see. The town Valladollid wasn't really worth the stop, as it was a bunch of tour busses dropped off to shop. This stop was not about the town at all. The bad part was that they charged us more than double what the description said we'd have to pay for "taxes". We are working with Viator to try to get our money back for that.Written 13 March 2024
- aliceoX5199GF0 contributionsHighly recommended!I booked 1/1/24 tour and was charged for it and received confirmation the day before. But I also received the tour operator's email on Dec 30 that said the tour on 1/1/24 was cancelled due to operation issue. I responded and rescheduled to 1/2/24. Email was not replied until one day later but I was glad that we received the confirmation. The tour was well organized. Some had to leave our bus to go to another tour. We were combined with another tour at Tulum. But overall it was very nice. Glad to have a taste of Tulum, Coba, lunch buffet at 3:45 pm, and Playa del Carmen. All quick stops but nice.Written 8 January 2024
- Ali K0 contributionsRecommended but could’ve been a bit betterGreat tour. Sadly, we weren’t able to visit Valladolid bcz according to the tour guide the entry to the city wasn’t allowed during the New Year’s Eve. The Tour guide, Ivan, was very nice and welcoming however, he barely spoke English during his explanations. You’d understand the gist of everything but I would’ve just preferred to hear all the things he said about the Mayan history in English too. Cenote at the end was awesome, had lots of fun! All in all a good experience and I’d recommend it, although a bit expensive.Written 1 January 2024
- Benny T0 contributionsNot the best serviceNot the best customer service. The driver was an excellent driver although it was super windy & pouring rain we arrived safely at the hotel. Also we lost a lot of time for the tour because too many transfers. One stop we lost 45 minutes waiting for the other bus to arrive so some passengers can transfer to go to a different tour. I come here every year. But will try other servicer.Written 14 December 2023
- 837atulk0 contributionsTrip booked online via Viator to ChichenItza, Cenote, ValladolidOverall ok. Very pleasant and polite. At Chichen-Itza the NEW guide said to go through the line and meet him the other side but we could not find him(suggestions-guide should have a Number sign or an umbrella or some sign for group to know their guide). Per online itinerary Cenote was to be 2 hours but we were given 1 hour. Valladolid was to be 45 minutes per online itinerary, we were given 14 minutes and that included a restroom stop. But we had to wait inside the vehicle for 30 mins so this was very disappointing. Valladolid had so restaurants and was vibrant so we should have been there atleast 45 minutes to explore (preferably 2 hrs). We asked our guide why the delay but were not provided any reason.Written 4 December 2023

We took the tour out of convenience since we heard Coba is hard to get to solo and we wanted to see a lot in a day and easily. First time booking a tour trough Trip Advisor and it was with not problems. We did get a message about the pick up location and time change.
Tour guide did well at entertaining and his English to Spanish was impressive
Bring snacks and lots of water/drinks
They offer a drink package (300 pesos) for extra when we got on the tour bus but we were fine without and buying drinks/ snacks along the way at each spot (40 pesos each at Tulum for beer, snicker, and electrolyte drink)
They also up charged for the Coba tax if you pay with the tour (they asked for 140 peso and at gate it is 100) but we didn’t have to wait to pay at the gate
We only got an hour at Coba so you can pay extra to rent a bike or hire a bicycle taxi
We power walked and saw a lot but there was no slowing down to look
Wish we had 2 hours at Coba rather than 2 hours at Tulum
Between Tulum and Coba We went to a Cenote (50 pesos to rent life jackets which’s re required) where we had a lunch buffet and learned about Mayan tractions
The food was amazing

We had a fantastic day out in this tour. It wasn’t the best start as we were picked up incorrectly and taken to a wrong location with no English speakers to explain.
However once we got to Tulum the guide was brilliant! We had a great lunch at a Mayan village in the jungle and loved swimming in the cenotes. The day was finished off with another trip to Coba and as advised from the guide we got a ‘Mayan Uber’ tricycle ride around the site which I highly recommend.

First of all, the guides have been excellent in leading the group in English and Spanish, and they have been spectacular with all of us.
Things to improve would be the logistics when picking up the people on the tour, since they made us stop in Plaza la Isla to give us the bracelet. That could be done directly on the bus. They could also go directly with the bus that is going to take us to the tour and not a van that takes you to the island plaza. In general, checking in for the ride is a bit tedious and time is wasted.
The time for visits is very tight. I understand that visiting 4 places in one day is complicated, but at least I will try to make some parts of the process more efficient to save time.
The centote that is visited is not very well set up, a little neglected. The lunch buffet is very slow to serve you, there is a long line and you have to wait.
In general, the tour allows you to see Tulum and Cobá very quickly in a single day, for those of us who have been there for a short time it is fine. If you want to have more time in the archaeological areas then you have to look for other options.

We were not told that the tour would be from 7:30am until 10:30pm. We were picked up at 7:30 and didn't arrive to Tulum until about 11/1130. We had to make several stops and then there were a lot of different lines and one last tax that you had to pay before entering the ruins. There was very little time to see everything before moving on to each stop. If you go I say stay close to the tour guide and make sure you know how long the tour will be. That was a very long day and a lot of walking. It was beautiful. Just be prepared.

"Incredible experience at Tulum Sandbar Bike Rentals. I rented a bike for a day to explore the Tulum coastal area and it was the best day of my trip. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bike was in excellent condition, and I was able to enjoy the sights and sounds of Tulum with complete freedom. Plus, the grilled lobster and cold beer I tried there were absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back!"

Trip guide had us meet in a hotel that would not let us thru the gate to get to the meeting point. The gate operator told us the tour had left already and we couldn’t enter. Trip Advisor refused to refund us. Will not be using this site again.

Dear Jamie:
you gave us one hotel and you were suppose to been in that hotel but your weren't, this wasn't our fault. We dont have decisions inside the hotel.

We love The Hilton PDC but miss The Royal. The review is better late than never. We were there on New Year's. I will start with the pros
1. The Food
2. The rooms
3. The resort is so clean
4. We love the tennis up on the roof
5. The staff is amazing
6. The location off 5th Ave. It is safe to go to day or night as always watch yourself. Please don't fall for I was your waiter last night and the store owners saying almost free for you
7. The nighttime shows in the lobby. Hilton, Please put some acoustic tiles on the ceiling. We have thought about this for years.
8. The water and ice are safe but we don't drink from the faucet in our room
9. The gym we Love Juan! He has been working here for years. There are a lot of group classes to choose from or private training. Thanks for all your hard work and the friendly face.
10. I can't remember his name but the man at the Coffee House was so friendly
Here are some of the staff that we feel need to be mentioned they work so hard and do a great job
Lourdes Espejo, the host at Pelicanos. She was so friendly. Our favorite place for breakfast. We love to eat outside
The Bellhop who have been working here for years! William and Freddy Thanks, guys!
At Kalamta, Antonio A. and Aldo A. They made dinner great.
The cons
1. While we love the pool (don't bash us and no we aren't old) we don't care for all the loud music and the dancers. It'd be ok for 1 hour but not all afternoon. We miss the trivia and bingo games. The push-up completion a couple of years ago was great! We never buy a Bali bed to us it is a waste of money. The Royal had more chairs and umbrellas. Please be more guest friendly and bring them back.
2. The quiet pool is nice.
3. With no fault to the resort the beach has gotten so small and crowded. The darm weather. We used to be able to walk for miles each way. Now the water is right up to some of the resorts. We had the government can rebuild the beach
This resort is great and we would highly recommend it

This resort is great and we would highly recommend it
