        Experience with Kenia
Kenia is an amazing guide; you can feel her passion and love for animals and the environment through her sharing. We had a really great time snorkeling and exploring the Cenote today. Extremely fun experience!

Family Experience with Great Tour Guide
The whole tour from start to finish was amazing. When we went to the Tulum Ruins, the views and ruins were amazing, the tour guide “Alondra” gave us so much interesting information about the Mayan Ruins. Her information was that interesting that ,our youngest child (age 11) who is learning about the mayans remembered everything she had said and told his whole class about it when we got home. The 3 Cenotes was an amazing experience for the whole family. The water was so clear and magical snorkelling you could see down to the bottom. The Traditional Mayan meal was delicious there was something for everyone to eat: rice, meat, carrot, cucumber and more.

        Wonderful experience !
We did an AMAZING snorkeling and cenote tour with Ursula. Plenty of beautiful fish and the cenote tour was amazing to see. Our tour guide, Ursula, was super knowledgeable, polite and shared information about the different birds, animals and Mayan culture. After learning so much in a few hours, we would have loved to book another tour however time didn't permit. We would love to come back and tour with Ursula again! Till next time!

Unforgettable Cenote Adventure with a Fantastic Guide!
We had an amazing experience exploring three stunning cenotes on this tour. Each one had its own unique charm, and we loved the variety. Our guide, Marko, was fantastic — super knowledgeable, friendly, and always happy to answer our questions. He shared so many interesting facts, which really added to the experience. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious! Everything was well-organized, and we felt taken care of the entire time. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to discover the beauty of cenotes with a great guide and some tasty food!

        Perfect day!
Miguel and Lea were excellent guides - organized, extremely knowledgeable and clearly dedicated to preserving and sharing the beautiful biosphere. The trip was great and definitely something my husband and I could not do on our own. Highlight for me was seeing male frigate birds in mating mode with their big orange pouches puffed out. Miguel and Lea divided the group according to native language so we spent most of the time with Miguel and he was the best guide we had during out stay in Mexico. Highly recommend this trip!

        Great Guide, Great Vibes.
We had a great experience with Ursula showing us the best place to snorkle! It was amazing to hear the knowledge that Ursula and Daniel had to share about local issues and culture. In the tour we eventually went into a cavern where we swam through underground to find a special swimming area that felt so special since it was just our group there. I have pretty high expectations as a traveler but I would highly recommend taking this adventure.

Great full day Sian Ka'an Adventure
The trip was great. Our guides Ursula and Pablo were very friendly and informative. We saw an osprey family, a manatee, a small crocodile, dolphins, sea turtles, and a wide range of birds. Sian Ka'an is a wonderful place with mangroves, lagoons, and a bay leading to the sea. Punta Allen was a nice little town, and we enjoyed our lunch there. The ride to our small boat gave a good indication of how remote the biosphere is, but the fact that it is still quite close to Tulum is a real attraction.

        Tulum Cenotes tour
The cenotes were absolutely breathtaking, especially the cave. Our guide, Pablo, was amazing. He was so engaging and informative. The order of the cenotes was perfect as well. Finally, we had a delicious lunch at the end of the tour. This tour was well worth the time and money and i highly recommend it. Ask for Pablo. You won't be disappointed.

One of the best experiences ever!
This was one of the best things I’ve ever experienced! From start to end. An incredibly punctual hotel pick up, greeted with instant enthusiasm making me comfortable right away! Both guides, Pablo and Alonvra were fantastic, both so kind and lots of fun, they personalised the trip for everyone. We saw all kinds of wildlife (dolphins, manatees, birds and turtles). Lunch was so yummy at Punta Allen and a smooth boat ride back. Honestly 10/10 would recommend! Thanks so much guys :)

This tour was so fun!! It encompassed everything I wanted to do- chichen itza, cenotes and walk around local areas. Love that transportation was offered and for a low price, given how much we traveled. They provided water and snacks and we felt safe the whole time.

We went to chichen itza first. We got there early so we beat the large crowds and finished before it got too hot. Cesar is an amazing tour guide. He’s so knowledgeable about the Mayan history and his passion is evident. He reads the room and asks us if we want to know more about specific things or if we prefer “free time” to roam on our own. I learned so much today and glad we did a guided tour.

Next we had lunch at Valladolid in a restaurant located inside a beautiful hotel where the food was delicious. Lunch is included in this price- juice, chips and dips, entree and dessert. Then we walked around the city and visited a few shops.

Last, we went to cenote Xux-ha. Omg it was breathtaking!! The moment I walked down the steps and saw the cenote, I was speechless. FYI- The stairs are dark and steep. Once we got down, the water was so clear and there was a dock area so it was perfect for taking pics or when you didn’t want to swim and just stand in water. This cenote was crowded and at the end we were the last ones there so we got to take pics without others in our photos. We swam for about 30 mins before heading back to the hotel.

100% recommend this tour. Exceeded all my expectations. Thanks again Cesar for an amazing day and David for driving us everywhere safely!

Thank you for your enthusiastic review! We're thrilled to hear that you had so much fun on the tour and that it encompassed everything you wanted to do—Chichen Itza, cenotes, and exploring local areas. It's great to know that the transportation was convenient and affordable, and that water and snacks were provided, ensuring your safety and comfort throughout the day. Starting with Chichen Itza early in the day to beat the crowds and the heat sounds like a fantastic strategy. Cesar's knowledge and passion for Mayan history clearly made the guided tour a memorable and educational experience. Lunch in Valladolid at a beautiful hotel restaurant sounds delightful, and it's wonderful that the meal was included in the price. Exploring the city and visiting shops afterward must have been a great way to experience the local culture. The cenote Xux-Ha sounds absolutely breathtaking! The clear water and dock area for photos and relaxation seem perfect. It's great that you had some time to enjoy the cenote without crowds at the end. Your 100% recommendation means a lot to us, and we're glad that Cesar and your driver, David, made your day amazing and safe.

My group had an AMAZING time for the small group tour to Chichen Itza. We got picked up from our hotel exactly when they said they’d be there and even though it was early, they were very punctual at dropping us back to our respective hotels (5:45-6:30PM). Marco was our tour guide and he was incredible - I love a tour guide who can read the group well so he knew when to give information and when everyone just needed some time to themselves (early morning in the car, free time around Chichen Itza, etc). Jesus our driver was very punctual, safe and friendly as well. Both provided snacks, filtered water and friendly convo when we chatted with them.

Chichen Itza was the reason we chose this tour and it was great! The crowds weren’t bad at all (we went in mid Feb) and there was plenty of room to take pictures. Marco gave interesting factoids around the grounds before we got time to ourselves. The surprises were after at lunch and the Cenote. Lunch was AWESOME; maybe it’s because we were sick of our resort’s food but seriously, lunch was delicious in Valladoid (eat the guac!!!!). The Xux-Ha Cenote was an absolute highlight though. We weren’t sure what to expect but it was soooo peaceful and fun to swim in, and beautiful to look at. Really a wonderful experience we weren’t even really expecting on this trip.

I highly recommend spending this extra money on the small group versus a larger group. We only had 6 in ours and it felt private. So much time saved on picking up people, everyone was respectful and on time on our group, and it was easier to get Marco’s attention if we needed something. Would recommend this specific excursion for anyone!!!

Chichén Itzá (CI) has been on my bucket list and I decided to choose Mexico Kan Tours after some research online. Overall, I would absolutely recommend to take this tour. Iber, the tour guide, was so knowledgable about each site and would answer all questions the tour had. He took time to explain the history before arriving to CI and throughout the site as well. He was funny/made jokes, gave time for breaks, and read the group to move on when needed. Please give tour guides (and drivers) a raise!

I had a new pick up time, but the company did communicate this via Text, email, and What's App and the tour van picked us up on time. We had plenty of time to walk around CI and we arrived about 1-2 hours after opening. This allowed us time to walk around and take pictures before all the other tours arrived. At Valladolid, we had plenty of time for lunch and to sightsee/souvenir shop. At the cenote, we were the only tour group for a bit, which added positively to the experience. I would also like to mention that many in our group kept commenting that this was one of the best Cenotes they went to, which definitely was the case after I went on a different tour later in the week.

Overall, I would recommend this tour for those that are looking to explore these sites, learn about the history, and enjoy themselves. The tour dynamic all depends on who's on the tour (i.e. families vs friend groups vs younger adults). I did call the office to ask whether I would receive a discount code as I am a Mexican National and admittance to CI is lower to nationals. I was told I would. However, I never received it and was given a deferent response when I called the office again.

The tour guide was knowledgeable, so I learned a lot about the places we visited. However, there were a few issues. They sent a message saying they would pick me up earlier than stated and said they were 5 minutes away. I was rushed, but they did wait for me to get breakfast to go. There was a couple (problematic wife) who took my seat after leaving Chichen Itza. Tour guide saw it & did nothing. I couldn’t force the woman up obviously, so I sat next to her & took my seat back the rest of the trip. At the restaurant, the waiter served everyone and literally skipped over me each time to serve me last. He served everyone to my right and when I was next, he would skip me and serve the people to my left. Keep in mind, I was the only black person, only “solo” traveler, & most likely the youngest on the tour. After the tour, I paid my balance in cash. Tour guide said there was a “stamp” on one of the $1 bills. He kept complaining that the banks won’t take it or make him pay a fee for it. I said I would replace the cash once I got to the hotel because I didn’t have another $1 bill on me. On getting to the hotel, I told him to wait for me to grab a new $1 bill. He said it was okay that I shouldn’t worry about it. So why did he embarrass me for the $1 bill in front of everyone in the first place? Overall, I had an unpleasant experience & I felt uncomfortable the whole time.

This small group tour is the way to go to see multiple different aspects of Mexico in one day. The day was long but worth it. Roberto, our driver, and Leire, our tour guide, were exceptional! We were picked up at our resort promptly at the pre assigned time early in the morning. We did pay $20 extra due to the location of our resort for pickup, which was fine. It was just us and one other couple so the small group aspect was amazing! Leire prepared us with some history and information along the way of our drive prior to our first stop, and took our orders for lunch. We went to Chichen Itza first and were able to get a good amount of our walking tour in prior to it becoming too hot and too crowded. Definitely recommend a hat, sunscreen and bug spray, and clothes to protect from the sun as well. After the walking tour we were allowed time to browse the property and purchase from vendors if desired. We then went to Valladolid for lunch (which was delicious and the restaurant was beautiful!) and had some time to explore the city square. Leire had amazing recommendations at each stop and was full of historical information and very knowledgeable about the Mayan culture. Lastly, we went to a beautiful cenote owned by a Mayan family that was an incredible experience and we were the only group there for a large period of our stay. The water was refreshing after a long day of walking in the heat. I would recommend bringing a fresh change of clothes (it was very hot at chichen itza) and some type of sandal or flip flop for that aspect. The entry for chichen itza and cost of life jackets at the cenote were all included in the booking price. Overall amazing tour experience and would highly recommend Roberto & Leire!! Awesome day & would 100% do again with a small group!

A great day and a great pair of guides - Marco and his driver were excellent. My son and I were so impressed by the itinerary including lunch in Valladolid at a former colonial mansion, and the community run cenote. Took our breath away. The information shared by Marco was helpful in contextualizing the history of Chichen Itza and building on what we already knew. Overall fun day, flew by (unlike other all day tours!)

Honest Review...I am the person who researches everything to make sure that my time and money are spent well. We are a couple, early 40's and wanted to visit Chichen Itza and a Cenote. Searching all the tour companies we really felt overwhelmed as the number of companies from inexpensive large groups to expensive private groups. Ultimately, we decided on Mexico Kan Tours with a small group (<10) and one of the best if not best tours we've ever done! From the time of booking through dropping off at our hotel we were extremely happy.

Booked online and received confirmation by email with deposit paid. A day prior to our tour we received an email with all important information including payment for the remaining balance. Note have them charge the original card that used for deposit! We were picked up promptly at the time provided at our hotel in Tulum (town). The time to Chichen Itza is about 2 hours the van is comfortable and small homemade energy bars, bananas, and water (bring water bottle) are provided onboard. This is where the tour begins to shine. We had the pleasure of having Cesar as our tour guide. While our driver was making the way to Chichen Itza Cesar was providing us a history of Mexico and the site we were going to visit. He is passionate about his job, and it shows! About 30 minutes out the group has the option to stop at very clean bathrooms with food, drinks, and gifts.

Cesar will guide you through Chichen Itza and provide explanations of everything you are going to see under the shadows (shade). Trust me you will realize how important it is to stay out of the sun as much as possible. Chichen Itza can definitely feel intimidating with all the vendors, but I never felt it because Cesar took us through everything. After about 1.5 hours you will have .5-hour free time to go explore.

Next stop Valladolid while I was unsure of this stop for lunch you are rewarded with an exceptional meal at an awesome restaurant. The food and atmosphere are very much local, non-touristy. After lunch you have the option to explore the town on your own or Cesar will take you around to show you some of the history of this cute town. We went over to the square and took pictures and did a little shopping and back to the bus.

There are so many Cenotes in the Yucatan, and many can be overrun by the larger groups. Cesar led us to a local cenote whereas a group we essentially had the place to ourselves. The only charge on the tour outside of your personal shopping and alcohol at the restaurant was $2 for a life jacket and $.50 for locker.

Tour complete we were driven back to our hotel!

Do yourself a favor and when you come across Mexico Kan Tours just book a small group tour, I believe that it is well worth the money! You don't want to spend a whole day of your vacation with a large group of people to save a small amount of $$$. Your time is much more valuable!

Thank you Mexico Kan Tours for an exceptional experience and to Cesar you are simply amazing!

An unforgettable experience. Chichen Itza is an extraordinary place, as are the cenote and Valladolid. Caesar, our guide, was amazing; you can tell that he knows history and enjoys it. This trip we did to celebrate my daughter’s 15th birthday, and she was delighted with the place and with the guide, who throughout the tour was attentive and available so that she was also at ease. Even at lunchtime, he brought her a sweet with a candle and they put Las Mañanitas to sing her birthday, which was certainly a great detail. This tour stood out for being very professional. We were recommended this company in our accommodation, and the truth is that it is worth every dollar that is paid. We recommend them!

We had a GREAT day visiting Chichén Itzá, Valladolid, and the Xux Ha cenote and would HIGHLY recommend Mexico Kan Tours to anybody looking for a more connected and intimate experience while in Mexico.

From the beginning of the day, Alondra was a ray of light with great energy and full of information and knowledge on what our tour group of 6 people were going to see. I felt validated early on in the morning that Mexico Kan Tours was the right decision for my Mom and I, based on their promptness and communication, but also based on the laughs I was having at 8am. Alondra didn’t miss a beat, even thru sandal malfunction, and remained professional and pleasant, and funny, for the entire day (she also took great photos). Shout out to Victor for keeping us safe on the ride too!

Overall, very pleased with our experience with Mexico Kan and would utilize them for other tours in the future and recommend them to others who want to travel a little more intentionally.

My friends & I went to Mexico to celebrate one of our friends’ milestone birthday. We decided to take this day tour to experience authentic Mexican culture & history outside of the resort. Paloma & Artoro were absolutely amazing. Paloma was very knowledgeable about the rich history of the area. She & Artoro were both personable & professional. Paloma even went the distance to help us bargain with the vendors at Chichen Itza for a good deal! At the end of the tour we all exchanged warm hugs with Paloma. She & Artoro were truly accommodating & made us feel welcomed!

Sidenote: Myself & my friends all got “the runs” after visiting the restaurant on the tour. I’m assuming it’s because we are not used to drinking Mexican water. So I would recommend to eat the meals provided at the restaurant, however it’s probably best to avoid the drinks & bring a bottle of water, juice, etc.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for celebrating such a special milestone with us! 🎉 We’re thrilled to hear that Paloma and Arturo made your day so memorable with their warmth, knowledge, and dedication. Paloma’s helpfulness, even with bargaining at Chichen Itza, speaks volumes about her commitment to making the experience enjoyable and authentic. It’s wonderful to know the day ended with hugs and happy memories! 🤗 Regarding the note about the drinks, we truly appreciate your comment. We always strive to ensure that every aspect of the tour is as enjoyable and safe as possible, including our meal stops. Please rest re assured that all drinks are always prepared with purified water. But indeed Mexican food is sometime not a great fit with sensitive stomachs... Thank you again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future! 🌟
