About
In an adventurous dirt road we will cross part of the reserve, until we reach the point where the boats will board to start the safari, where we will begin to observe different types of birds in the keys formed by the mangroves, then we go in search of sea turtles and dolphins in their natural habitat. Later we will go to one of the most physical and fun activities of the tour that is snorkeling in the reef. After a little swim, we stop at the wonderful natural pool to take a Caribbean bath and cool off with drinks. It is important that you know that the tour offered is operated by us and not by third parties. Which means that from the moment they approach our units you are safe. We have our own fleet, offices in Playa del Carmen and Tulum. As also all personnel involved are directly or indirectly under the orders of the company. All this to provide you with quality service.

A journey through a magnificent reserve
The experience was really interesting, we saw birds, turtles and dolphins (during the boat trip) and beautiful reserve landscapes and then made a bit of snorkelling near to the coral barrier. The only drawbacks were: 1) the 4 hours (way and back) trip in the truck: as the road was really bumpy and maybe the truck not completely adapted, the trip was unpleasant and hurt my back; 2) as a consequence of the 4 hours of trip in the truck, we had less time to enjoy the boat trip and snorkelling…

Not So Good
Picked up at hotel by our guide Sho. He said it’s a two hour drive but he can make it happen in one hour 45. The road is dirt potholes the entire way. You’ll have to use the side of the road for a toilet. The guide shared some details regarding dolphins as well as the sea turtles. Hmmmm. Not too sure they were based on factual information. The highlights. We did see a couple crocs, dolphins and sea turtles. For the most part did not see any fish while snorkeling. Had some lunch which wasn’t bad, what you would expect. Turned around and went back. $160 to see a croc, sea turtle and dolphins. Not worth it.

Incredible Tour with Sho
Mar 2021
We had an incredible experience with Sho. By far the highlight of our trip -- don't think, just book!

After a ~1.5 hr drive with built in Mayan massage (from the bumps), we reached the boat launch point. We went searching for dolphins, sea turtles, and saw them and much much more wildlife up close. Many beautiful birds, and even a manatee!

Then we stopped for a delicious lunch with fresh fish at Punta Allen, an incredible little town all the way at the end of the peninsula, in the biosphere.

Sho was so knowledgeable, kind and great vibes. He speaks so many different languages, making the tour accessible to mostly anyone!

GO WITH SHO! Best tour guide ever! Absolutely breathtaking experience.
Jul 2020 • Couples
My name is Vasilina Rosewolf, and this review is 100% my own. Nobody paid or persuaded me to write this.

First of all, I just want to say this was the most breathtaking experience of my life! Pickup time was 7:20am and our tour guide was Sho. GREAT GUY! He was not your typical boring tour guide — he was fun to be around, extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife and area, and had a great energy. It was more like going with a good friend than a regular tour guide. Give this guy a raise or promotion! He made me and my boyfriend laugh so much and translated whenever we needed him to. I highly, highly recommend him as a guide.

The food in Punta Allen was top notch. (Please give me the recipe to the mashed potatoes... I want to make them at home as they were absolutely delicious).

Seeing the crocodiles chilling in the mangroves was awesome! Sho told us about how sometimes females share a nest and occasionally fight to the death which was really interesting. The lagoon was tranquil and the ocean was absolutely stunning.

Later we went on a boat ride and saw turtles! Their sweet little heads bobbing up for air and hearing their little gasp was so cute. We went snorkeling later and Sho was showing us the coral reefs underwater. That was also a blast.

After we went to the natural pool aka his “office” (hehe) which was by far the most stunning sight of my life. Wow... I could’ve stayed there forever... YOU MUST GO! It felt like I was in a computer screen saver! I honestly felt like I was dreaming.

After we went to see the dolphins while Sho whistled La Cucaracha to them which they seemed to love. It’s so much better to see the animals in their own natural habitat instead of placing them in tanks.

When we came back to Punta Allen we had lunch which was a 10/10. (Please give me the mashed potato recipe. Please. I’ll do anything). Sho told us the potatoes were made with corn, but I want the whole recipe hehe.

I was really sad to leave! I wanted to stay forever! Even though I already saw this, I WILL GO BACK. But only with Sho as my tour guide. I will not go with anyone else. Seriously such a great guy with the best energy!

Any bad reviews are honestly entitled babies who expect the dolphins to come out and chat with you. This is NATURE — we must respect it. Animals are not for our entertainment. Out of respect we should only see them in the wild — don’t expect a song and a dance from them. They are not here to perform for us. Respect nature.

Anyway, you should go! I will be back! Thank you again, Sho!

Sian Ka'an is amazing
Feb 2020
The Biosphere is a wonderful resource to be preserved. The tour and tour guide emphasizes preservation, and provides information about the ecosystem and how it must be preserved. The drive in the open bus/truck is long, a little bumpy but not too bad, and there were also long boat rides, but the trip is broken up by the guide's informative narratives. The trip was well organized, our guide (Frederick?) was a marine biologist and was highly articulate in multiple languages. His assistant was lovely and pleasant. There were about 25-30 of us speaking about 4 languages, and we each received information in our language from the guide on the bus. We were lucky to spot a large crocodile, boat along side a sea turtle as it swam and eventually came up for air, see multiple dolphins, and a few birds in the mangroves. The group was split up into multiple small boats of about six people each. We were able to communicate with the guide by radio. Food in Punta Allen was excellent. There was a lot of sun, and since the park discourages use of sun screen (and insect repellent) for ecological reasons, wear clothing and hats to block the sun. Personally, I would have liked more time with the birds, but stopping for a swim with the option of having tequila poured in one's mouth was popular with some of our group. There was also a snorkel stop, which frankly, for me, was a waste of time and effort. I barely saw a fish. But the dolphins were spectacular, the boat ride a joy, and the visit to this wonderful place was a special privilege that we will remember forever.

Like paradise
This tour was great. We almost didn't book because it is our last full day here but I am so glad that we did. Sian Ka'an is just paradise. We saw a lot of animals. The lunch in beautiful Punta Allen was delicious. The guide Marco is very knowledgeable and is fluent in many languages. You go on a truck to get to the boat, this is quite cold in the morning so bring something warm to warm. Also, the sandwiches are ham&cheese so if you're vegetarian you'll probably want to bring your own. Definitely recommend this tour!
