About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- loretted2420 contributionsThe UnknownsI was provided around trip car service, driver dropped me early had to wait an hr before getting on the boat. From my experience a lot of things weren’t informed being this was my first experience. First, bring a jacket cause once in the ocean the winds are strong, next there’s not a guarantee you’re going to see whales & if you do it’s for a millisecond. Bathroom on deck is very confined plus no sanitizer to clean your hands. Third, crew member will bring around a tip jar to each individual to pressure you to tip for mediocre service. Last, the transportation services gave no information on how I was getting picked up, & given it was a 5pm departure for a 2hr ride when returning the offices were closed. In my opinion crew/staff did a poor job on communicating how/where the driver would pick me up. All in all, the ride was nice but boring & the staff are completely unprofessional this was a waste of time/energy.Written 11 February 2025

Our glasses were refilled constantly. We saw whales, the arches, a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed great tunes and danced. They also included round trip transportation from our hotel. Thanks for a great evening sail!Written 23 January 2025

- Andrew W0 contributionsExciting crewThe captain, first mates and bartender were a blast. The kept it light and funny but also shared some facts about the whales. They made sure we saw some unbelievable moments.. Little bit of luck involved but certainly enhanced by their knowledge of the waters.Written 23 January 2025
- michaelhO7437ZZ0 contributionsUnless you’re looking for a party boat( think booze cruise with tacos and a couple sights) look elsewhere.Warning! If you’re looking for a dinner cruise to see the sights with background music like our party of 5 was; “look elsewhere”, according to the crew. “This is a party boat”, and they will be thumping the music much of the trip, so loud you can’t have a conversation.Written 12 December 2024
- Mary P0 contributionsRelaxing Chill VibeThis sunset cruise is one of our favorite activities. A perfect relaxing end to your sun drenched Cabo day. If you're looking for a partying booze cruise, you might want to look elsewhere. The chill vibe of this cruise makes it a great choice for couples of any age, as well as families. The company will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Checking in is a breeze. Once on the boat, you're treated to free drinks and simple, but tasty tapas. The music is classic jazz soundtrack with a live saxophonist. Staff notices when you need a refresher drink and are quick to get whatever you want. These relaxing two hours on the water watching the sunset are a wonderful end to your day.Written 23 November 2024

Terrible experience. Hoping for a refund of my $651. I’ll contact my credit card if they try to rip me off. Judging by their response so far, it will be a fight. I’m readyWritten 22 November 2024
- H2195QFjeffreyr0 contributionsCommentThe catamaran, crew and service were great. But the experience was marred by the $78 charge I had to pay to change the date of our cruise from the evening of 27 OCT to 28 OCT. My spouse and daughter were not feeling well on the 27th (and not because of a “late night” in Cabo) , but Pez Gato insisted on charging a 25% change fee on each ticket…even though the cruise was not fully booked…because of their “same day cancellation policy”. Note that I did book this outing through Epic tours. So, just be cautious if booking in advance….may want to wait until the desired day of your tour to book.Written 7 November 2024
- mrsmcl20240 contributionsBeautiful views! Amazing crew! Romantic cruise. The staff was great. Constantly asked if we needed anything. The views were amazing. DJ was great. Even though there was music and dancing upstairs, it was still a very chill and romantic cruise for my husband and I. Only complaint - the marina. The transportation from our hotel was great but they picked us all up so early that we had like 45 minutes to kill and the marina was not some fun place I wanted to walk around. It just was every store owner and vendor trying to sell you something and you just saying no again and again. It was really off putting and there was no public bathrooms. I wish as soon as we had arrived we would have boarded the boat.Written 26 September 2024

We loved the trip. We booked it the day before while sailing into Cabo on a cruise ship. So it was kind of a last minute thing. They were very accommodating and we went off on their catamaran even though there were only 5 of us on board, which we appreciated. Unfortunately the snorkeling wasn’t great…the water was cold and a bit cloudy. However, while sailing down to Santa Maria Bay-and back again-we saw so many whales that it became a trip we’ll never forget!! The crew was very accommodating, lunch was very nice and they stayed on the lookout for humpbacks (and even a grey whale) as our snorkeling trip morphed into an impromptu whale-watching extravaganza! The music they played on board was wonderful, too. But had it been played just a bit less loudly, the whole thing would’ve been 5 stars. Thanks for the wonderful day in Cabo!!

We just returned from the Snorkel Cruise in Los Cabos with Pez Gato Snorkeling Tour. It was my husband and 2 daughters (14 & 23) and we sailed on the Tropicat. They were on top of the Covid 19 protocols provide a safe experience from the time they promptly picked us up until we returned home. Mx has experienced a set up in parameters while we’ve been here re-implementing masks, etc. the crew did a great job or respectfully sharing kindly what they’re trying to do to help Cabo & us their visitors stay safe.
This was hands down one of our favorite snorkeling trip of all time (we’ve done trips all over Hawaii, Grand Cayman & Australia). The cerulean color of the water is amazing. They take us out of the marina along the shoreline of Lovers Beach to view The Arch of Cabo San Lucas - allowing plenty of time for a crowded photo opportunity. When sailing back we sailed beyond the arch for a view from the other side and were able to get another view. It was not crowded with other boats from this side, so be sure to grab an uncrowned photo opportunity on the return trip to the marina.
Sailing on the Sea of Cortez was relaxing (calm seas today) allowing for an amazing view from sea to shore. We enjoyed snorkeling and swimming off the Santa Maria Beach along the coral rock formation. Got to see the largest school of manta rays we’ve ever seen. Plus, they were jumping out of the water. Lots of colorful tropical fish from the moment we entered the water. Daniel was a great guide aboard the catamaran & in the water “follow the ring”. You can enter the water via the steps with a nice platform at the bottom or by a fun trip down the slide (we opted for the slide!).
They provide snorkel gear, lifevest rings, life vest or noodle to leisurely swim or snorkel. Lunch was a sub sandwich, chips and optional desert of cookies or granola bars. Not a fancy feast, but definitely a tasty sandwich after a busy time in the water. It was open bar from the moment we came aboard, and Carlos did a great job (as well as the rest of the crew) in making adult drinks and indulging the younger ones with juice/soda concoctions.
They have a photographer aboard who does a great job of capturing your entire party throughout the experience. I can’t remember her name - but kudos to a job well done. Well worth the $30 USD, as she doesn’t just capture posed, but the fun candid shots throughout the fun. From a photobug who travels the world to take pictures I much appreciated sitting back and relaxing and having photos of my people & me taken.
We will definitely be recommending Pez Gato to friends and family!!

Cannot say my thanks enough for our amazing adventure. The boat holds 85 people - there were 9 passengers total on our day.
We were able to do some whale watching and snorkeling. Snorkeling at Santa Maria beach is a beautiful location.
The guide, Daniel, made us all feel at home. The lunch provided was great, the drinks were never empty and the music selections were fun.
The photographer, Tania, did amazing photos and for $30USD we got ALL 118 PHOTOS!
Hands down the best part of our trip!

We joined Pezgato for their snorkeling cruise. It was such a great experience that we booked whale watching with them a few days later. The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Everyone was very engaging and welcoming. A special thank you to Larisa, our photographer on the whale watching tour. She captured some exceptional photos that we will treasure forever. With food and drinks included, this is a great deal for anyone looking for an adventure in Los Cabos.

What an amazing trip put on by Pezgato. The crew was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive and entertaining.
Great cruise out to the bay where we snorkelled for 45mins surrounded by all types of fish. the snorkel time was Followed by a very nice lunch served on the boat.
On the cruise back to Cabo, Humpback whales were spotted and we were treated to an impromptu whale watching tour. Captain followed the whales for a good 30 mins and the Whales did not disappoint including a full breach by one playful whale.
Can not recommend this trip higher. Pezgato does a fantastic job.

We arrived on January 29 on board the Norwegian Bliss. I had booked and communicated about our boats arrival time and was advised to be on one of the first tender boats off the ship. For those arriving by ship, there is no dock in Los Cabos so you will need to be tendered. If you don't book through the ship, you will not be among the first tenders off the ship. Our snorkeling trip was booked to leave at noon, our ship arrived on time at 11am. We missed our trip. The next day we asked for and received a partial refund, which they certainly did not have to give. Thank you for that, I recommend this company, they were up front and fair to deal with.

Please be wary when signing up for a tour such as these. My boyfriend and I got a horrible stomach bug from the food and the drinks from the boat. Was not sanitary. Please be prepared and cautious and bring your own snorkel gear and food on the trip.

Hi rheag816,
I am the Operations Manager and Food and Beverage supervisor as well. As per the quality of food, we only use certified suppliers such as Costco, Valle Hermanos, etc. Most our product is imported from the US. Our ice machine has two types of filtration system, we use purified water only. Our snorkel equipment is disinfected after each use with ECOLAB 22 Multi-Quat Sanitizer (FDA approved). I am sorry to hear that you had a stomach bug, but please be sure that all our F&B products are high quality.

Ivan and his team were amazingly awesome. Made everyone fill special especially my wife whose birthday we were celebrating. There was 3 other birthdays on board and they all felt special and got a shout out. Plenty of time to drink and dance on trip to snorkeling site. Snorkel is the best we’ve done again Ivan was in the water with us giving everyone a chance to throw some food out. Tons of fish would come up and eat wish I had my phone in the water with me. Only downside is lunch it’s a basic sandwich turkey- vegetarian or ham and chips but who was there to eat. Will do this trip every time in Cabo this was our 3rd time and our best time usually we only get a two hour trip because on a cruise. When staying in Cabo it’s a 4 hour tour.

Such a fun outing!! Do not hesitate to book! The captain and crew were fun, hospitable, and engaging. It was a nice cruise down the coast after a quick stop by the arch. We saw numerous fish with quite a variety as well. However, we really lucked out when jumping rays put on a show followed by WHALES and later sea lions! The rays and whales were a complete surprise for the season. We were thankful for the crew members watchful eye or we likely would not have seen them!
Drinks were flowing, a variety of music played, and all with plenty of room to stretch out! Hopefully everyone is fortunate to see all the wildlife, but you will have fun either way!
Additional note: Their driver picked us up at our hotel where other operations require you to coordinate your own transportation and he was their waiting at the office for our return trip. Everything was seamless from start to finish!

The organizers of our meeting booked a Catamaran snorkeling exursion. Our bus took us to Cabo San Lucas to board the Pez Gato III catamaran. First, they took us to see Lovers Beach and the Arch. Supposedly you can walk between Lovers and Divorce Beach, but the passage was not obvious to us when we were at Divorce Beach the day before.
We saw many humpback whales on our way east to Santa Maria beach to snorkel. The water was a bit cold at first, but we saw lots of fish over the sand, aided by the food that our guide brought. After others went back to the boat, he told us that it was calm enough that we could go over to the rocks/reef through an opening. So we did and saw smaller, brighter fish, coral and pale sea urchins. We came back out and decided to go back in one more time. But then some swells came through and I hit my knee on the rocks while trying unsuccessfully to take a photo of a tiny brilliant blue fish. That famous “one more time”.
So we returned to the boat for rather strong margaritas and other 🍹's including my favorite Topo Chico water, followed by a lavish sandwich, salad and fruit buffet. The photo does not show all of the food as they somehow found room to add trays of steak, chicken and vegetarian wraps after I took the photo.
We saw some mother baby humpback pairs, but did not get close as we were not on a whale watching tour. And no breaching. I think the whale sightings are better along the Pacific side. Next time I would like to do a sunset whale watching tour. We were warned that the food on these is usually not good, but this company had fantastic food, so I would seek them out again.
I am glad that I brought a sweater to put on over my wet bathing suit and coverup shirt, as it got a bit breezy.
