- jan_mQ8232NJ0 contributionsDiscovering the Hidden Magic of Los Cabos with DannyAbsolutely recommend this experience! Danyi is not just an amazing guide but an all-around awesome person. He took us on a journey through the hidden beauty of the Sierra de la Laguna, showing us a side of Los Cabos most people never get to see. Along the way, he shared his knowledge and gave us a glimpse into the real culture of the area, which made it all the more special. This wasn’t your typical touristy activity—it was such a cool, unique adventure that stands out from anything else you’d find in Los Cabos. Definitely worth it!Written 21 November 2024
- W8821MHderekb0 contributionsSo worth booking!! Best way to end a trip!We booked this tour for our last night of our trip. It was a fantastic experience and Dany was an amazing guide. His knowledge of the local art, culture and plants was fantastic and the views on the hike were amazing. The hike was by far the highlight of our trip.Written 10 November 2024
- cindymkrause0 contributionsA cultural adventureThis is a cultural experience as much as an eating experience. We learned about historical Baja and about a true farm to table lifestyle. Danny and Jordan were stellar in their presentation. It wasn’t what we had expected, but was worth every peso!Written 5 October 2024
- hhZ3279BS0 contributionsThank you for Special experienceIt was a very special experience. I left my daily routine behind, visited a local home, and enjoyed cooking together while immersing myself in their rich lifestyle. There were three adorable children, and I learned a lot about plants and nature from them. They grow everything they eat, and I even learned how to cut cacti and make salsa. It was all new to me. Although I went alone, I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone, whether family, friends, or couples. Danny’s tour was truly amazing, and I’m deeply grateful. Thank you!Written 14 September 2024
- 655shawnn0 contributionsDesert mezcal sorbet and so much moreThe guides are wonderful knowledgeable and fun! We had a fantastic time getting out of the city and into the desert. This tour is a chance to explore a very different part of Baja with some amazing people. Thank you!Written 9 June 2024
- AllThingsAdventure0 contributionsWay better than the other food farm’s experiencesFrom start to finish this authentic Mexican experience did not miss. Danny’s passion for the Rancheros ppl is palpable as he tells the origin story of the ppl indigenous to Cabo. By the end of the story you’ll appear at a mountain side farm. You’ll meet very sweet human beings who’ll share their farm, farm animals, and ultimately a meal with you. If you do anything else in Cabo, I guarantee this will be your favorite if you love an adventurous, authentic, cultural experience. 5/5 stars!Written 26 May 2024
- Brooke C0 contributionsDO NOT MISS this amazing experience!!!!This was far and away one of the best immersive experiences have ever encountered on our travels. We enjoyed learning about the history of the Rancheros as we made our way out there, but as we pulled in we really felt fully immersed in the culture. The gardens were amazing and full of so much life. The animals and the people were so friendly and we truly felt welcomed as we toured. The vegetables and cactus were full of so much flavor and we got to really take our time walking through each ingredient that we harvested. The culmination of it all was the cooking experience where we were joined by the family to make what was our favorite meal in Cabo. We felt so humbled by their welcome and would recommend it to anyone who travels to this area. A truly unique and wonderful experience! Thank you so much for hosting us!Written 24 May 2024
- joshuafK956FT0 contributionsBest Cabo Experience!!!Best experience we’ve had in Cabo! What a fun and unique way to experience the history and culture of the native people! Jodan and Danny (the guides) and the family were so fun to spend time with and the food was amazing! 10/10 recommend!Written 29 March 2024
- OlgaRainosek0 contributionsDramatic and gorgeous views - worth the effort! If you’ve been to Los Cabo’s and want something different than the normal tourist sites, then this is the experience for you! Danny, our guide, was not only knowledgeable, engaging and fun, he easily kept our needs and experience hiking level in mind. We started our adventure in Todos Santos and he showed us around the quaint and colorful town. We also stopped and ate some delicious ceviche before starting our hike. The first ascent was definitely the hardest and it enabled him to judge our abilities. Luckily we made it up - me climbing up with all fours and a bit winded but feeling accomplished. The views were spectacular to say the least and Danny timed the sunset spot perfectly. Not only did we see the beautiful sun set on the picturesque landscape, we also saw whales breaching in the distance. Truly a magical experience. Thankfully the descent was less steep and gradual and we had the headlamps to help guide the way. At one point we turn the lamps off and enjoyed the serene solitude of the night sky - again, absolutely stunning. I can’t say enough about this excursion - honestly, my favorite one while in Los Cabos!Written 21 March 2024
- JazzyJ0 contributionsUnique hike into heart of Baja was awesome for us seniors!!AMAZING AND UNIQUE!! My friend and I are active women in our 70s and we loved this hike!!! Danny picked us up in his beautiful van. To reach the start , we went through a locked gate just outside the village of Miraflores and then we bumped along a winding dirt road across a dry river bed and bounced further on up into the lower elevations of the mountains. The peak of Sierra de La Laguna at 2,090 metres (6,857 ft) in elevation, is the highest point in the range of the Baja California Sur state. But we were nowhere near that elevation. My friend and I challenged ourselves on this hike. The so-called trail wasn’t marked as it cross-crossed the riverbed and zigzagged over rocks, boulders and sand bars to our final destination: a sparkling oasis centered on a crystal clear pond some 90 minutes later. We had the option to swim but that day was a little too cool. Returning at sunset, the last 45 minutes of our trek was managed with the help of headlamps. It was pretty tricky but actually not difficult climbing over boulders and river rocks in the dark! There was a brilliant starlit sky which we stopped to observe so we could point out Jupiter, a satellite and count the constellations. It was stunning. We finished the 2 1/2 hour hike at a quaint family-owned Ranchero where we enjoyed a very traditional meal. Freshly made tortillas baked over an open wood flame, frijoles, spicy salsa, ranch beef, plump cherry tomatoes grown on the ranchero and sweet, hot damiana tea hit the spot! The entire tour took seven amazing hours. An excellent adventure! Highly recommend it.Written 10 March 2024
- Maps471516948780 contributionsGreat tour and fun too !Danny had a very knowledge of the history of Cabo San Lucas which was much appreciated and impressive . Would definitely recommend this to anyone that is interested in the local culture and history. Was fun too!Written 6 March 2024
- Odyssey7079720 contributionsFantasticoWe really enjoyed our authentic and genuine Mexican Ranchero experience with Danny , Jordan and the whole family there. The van was roomy and comfortable for our drive to the Ranchero with stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Upon arrival at the ranch we were greeted by the charming 8 yr old Romeena who showed us the baby goats and judged our cactus cutting skills. Believe it or not the boys got more thumbs up than the girls!!! We picked chilis for the feast heat and learned that we knew very little about the many different types of local plant life including bananas, figs, squash blossoms , cactus and more! We then got split into different cooking stations and worked together to created an amazing taco dinner which was complimented with sweet sipping tequila and lemongrass water. After we saw the different types of cactus and irrigations systems and ended with a beautiful walk on the sunsetting beach. We highly recommend this tour as it gives you a true taste of the real Mexico! Salut! Darren ZWritten 21 February 2024
- lovelyr6480 contributionsINTERACTIVE ADVENTURE! Do it 😃Danny and Jordan were our guides for what ended up being a private tour! Personable and easy going these guys made our tour most enjoyable. We stopped for homemade ice cream on the way to our destination. I would classify this hike as an INTERACTIVE ADVENTURE. Close toed shoes recommended but I managed in sandles that secured to my feet, but slips on would have not worked. Jordan lead the hike through the San Bernardo river bed while educating us on local plants and geology. He also gave some key survival tips! We reached our destination about 1.5 miles upriver and swam in multi tier pools of crystal clear waters with a natural waterslide. It was a highlight of our whole trip. On the return hike it gently rained and flashed lightning, which just added to the adventure when we hiked the last 30 minutes with headlamps in the dark. We'd worked up quite an apatite and ate a home cooked meal at a local ranch. Fresh warm tortillas right off the fire filled with refried beans, beef and salsa with a kick! Highly recommended this tour!Written 6 February 2024
- theoriginalrods210 contributionsInteractive AdventureWe had a great time on this highly interactive experience. We felt safe the whole time; Danny and Jordan were excellent guides with extensive knowledge and a clear love for the area. First we stopped for some delicious mexican sorbet with other local foods and honey for sale. Next we drove up to the mountains and down a dirt road for a bit to the hike location. The hike wasn't easy but not too tough for us and there were more plants and trees than I expected in the desert. Part of the hike back was in the dark and we saw lightning in the distance, it was amazing. After the hike we stopped at a small family ranch for an authentic mexican meal, it was tasty. Overall this was a great tour and I would highly recommend to anyone who likes nature and wants an authentic interactive experience. We will be looking up Dharma tours next time we go to caboWritten 2 February 2024

Danny had personality extraordinaire. He is so fun and funny and friendly and knowledgeable and he made our trip amazing. He took a group of us, a bunch of teenagers and three moms and showed us the best time ever. He thought of everything. He took us snorkeling to an awesome spot, to see an estuary and a bird sanctuary, and then to the art walk in San Jose Del Cabo. He was so sweet we wanted to take him home. He was the best. Don’t miss it he is the best and a true gentleman, kind to everyone and knowledgeable and interesting. We can’t say enough. Enjoy.

My husband and I enjoyed a great tour with Danny. He’s knowledgeable, experienced, and a lot of fun!
After picking us up at our resort mid afternoon, we started with some snorkeling at a lovely beach on our way to San Jose del Cabo. (All equipment provided.) The water was ideal, and the colorful fish plentiful.
We then headed to San Jose del Cabo to the estuary, but unfortunately, we ran into some intense holiday traffic, so it was too dark for a tour. However, Danny drove us through and shared some detailed information about the facility.
We were then off to downtown San Jose for the Thursday night art walk. It’s a must-do if visiting the area! Danny walked us around and shared interesting history about the area, and pointed out some unique galleries before giving us about two hours to shop and eat.
Our small group reconvened and we were transported back to our resort. It was a fantastic day!

We highly recommended San Jose Wonders Tour. Go on Thursday late afternoon and see this charming town and browse the shops of local artisans and art galleries. Ask for Dionicio for your tour guide. He is excellent! He’s very knowledge, making the tour interesting. He makes the ride to San Jose fun with his stories. Dionicio took great care of us and went over and beyond our expectations!

Great snorkeling spot with lots of fish on a quiet beautiful beach. The bird estuary was a surprisingly quiet place in busy San Jose Del Cabo. Art walk was fun with local dancers, bands and food. Danny was very pleasant and full of local knowledge.

I had a medical issue and had to cancel. I received a nice personalized message from Danny that was so sincere. Not many people will take the time to contact you when they aren't getting your business. I can only imagine how nice the tour would have been. I will let the many people I know coming to Cabo to use his services and I will definitely take one of his tours on our next trips in October and December.

Dharma expeditions lives up to its name and look no further for a combination of adventure and culture with Danny. The first stop is snorkeling in the most beautiful beach. Danny provides all of the equipment and puts out an umbrella and blankets to enjoy. Then you’re off to the estuary while he gives fascinating information about the area. He is a wealth of knowledge and passionate about sharing it with others. The art walk is amazing and festive!!! After a short tour you are on your own to explore. Danny will give you as much time as you need and then will safely get you back to your destination. I’ve done every single adventure with Dharma Expeditions. Book now!!!!

We just returned from our tour with Danny. We had a wonderful evening with just the right mix of adventure and culture. First was snorkeling at a beautiful beach cove with clear water. Then we changed into dry clothes and drove to an estuary/bird sanctuary for a short hike. Finally we went to downtown San Jose and experienced an art market with time to eat/explore. The entire time Danny was accommodating and had everything planned, organized and well-executed. This was our first time in Los Cabos, and I'm so glad we did this! Thank you Danny!

Once again excellent adventure with Danny Dharma Expeditions. Snorkeling at Santa Maria Beach is amazing and a extra bonus stop along the way. Then we headed to San Jose for more great views of ocean and natural fresh water reserve. The sunset was amazing. History walk and free time in downtown San Jose. So many shops, local artists, and food vendors. Great experience. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a short 5-hour port day at Cabo San Lucas during our cruise, and Danny and Mike took our family of 6 to San Jose de Cabo to see the estuary, the town, and we also got to enjoy a lovely lunch at a locals' favourite restaurant. We learned a lot about Cabo life and can't wait to be back!
