All in all it was great! Johnny is a very good instructor and explained everything clear and with patience. I highly recommend this place!

I was on the May 17-24, 2024 Mobula Ray Expedition. I have waited until now, a month later, to write a review, thinking the euphoria might have subsided. It has not. This trip gave me exactly what I hoped for, reassurance that despite so much damage by humans, nature will find a way. When I saw the aggregation of the mobula rays (Mobula munkiana) for the first time I was so moved I cried. Despite snotting up my mask, it was definitely a peak experience in my longish life of 72 years. It was a blessing in disguise that my camera failed and I was able to be fully present to the experience. That was only the first day, and we swam with the same hundreds of rays for a couple of hours. On the following days we snorkeled with a small group of the much larger Mobula mobular, (which I swear were showing off for us), more huge aggregations of munkiana, and sea lions. No company can guarantee that you WILL see what you COULD see, but the expertise and intuition of our wonderful wise-beyond-her-years guide, Victoria, and our captain resulted in one magical experience after another. I really cannot say enough about the quality of an expedition with Dive Ninjas. There is not one single suggestion I could make on how any aspect of this could have been improved. Short list of highlights: 1. Dive Ninjas are serious and knowledgeable about conservation and sustainability 2. Max group size is six and they will still do the trip if only 4 3. I felt very "cared for", attended to and safe throughout the expedition, on or off the water. 4. Though I was the only vegan on the trip, the wonderful cooks meticulously cooked separately and deliciously for me. 5. There is very much an egalitarian team atmosphere among the staff. 6. The accommodations are fabulous villas, very private, the whole location rented by Dive Ninjas for their expeditions. I have such complete trust in Dive Ninjas to create a memorable experience, I am already in the process of booking two more expeditions. Bring a Go-Pro

Our dive team, Fabian, Clemens and Matteo were amazing. They took such good care of us and made our dives safe and fun. Fabian gave excellent instructions and guided us through the dive with expertise and a great sense of humor.

Best dive shop in Cabo! Ask for Joy or Fabian. They were both fantastic instructors. Everyone is very friendly and clearly passionate about teaching diving at all levels. They also teach you a lot about different ecosystems. Can’t recommend them enough!

I had a once in a lifetime experience with Victoria at Dive Ninjas. She gave us a great understanding of Mobula rays and other local wildlife. We were lucky to see rats and many more amazing wild sea life. If I come back to the area, I will definitely dive with this company.

Such a fun and wonderful team. Everyone who works for the company truly LOVES diving. What an experience for my open water. After training in a pool in Canada I was excited to do my open water dives in Cabo. Dive Ninja was an amazing choice. So focused on environmentalism and the ecology of the ocean. Thank you to Victoria my incredible instructor. She made me feel safe and calm right from the minute we met. And she guided me through all four of my dives and made sure I succeeded and enjoyed every minute of my time in and on the water. I would HIGHLY recommend!

Dive Ninja is a fantastic dive centre and tour operator! Their efforts to contribute positively to the community behind the scene of the busy tourist town of Cabo San Luca is enormous! They help local non for profits and are deeply involved in conservation efforts at many levels. Can't recommend them enough!

I took my open water course with Dive Ninja. The first day was pretty rough for me (seasick, small panic attack) but the instructor was patient and supportive through it all. They were incredibly knowledgeable and the second day of the course went amazing. I would highly recommend them.

This is a great shop with a diverse workforce. Many divers were at different levels of experience and ability. We had 2 instructors and one dive master for the group. There were 10 divers in a small vessel which was a challenge to get your gear set up. Due to the recent hurricane it had impacted the sand waterfall. Slow trickles of sand instead of the flow of sand.

Our experience with Dive Ninja Expeditions was really excellent from beginning to end. I had been looking for an operator that was both recommended by PADI and with great reviews on TripAdvisor too, and this is how we found them. We booked through the WeTravel platform ahead of our trip and then exchanged emails to with Xochil at Dive Ninja Expeditions which made the process very simple, as she was super responsive and thoughtful. As a ready we were ready to get trained the day when we arrived in Cabo. The entire staff at Dive Ninja was both extremely friendly and professional. Victoria was our lead instructor and she demonstrated great commitment to our safety and instruction and made it easy to learn. With the assistance of Mercedes and Anika we we were in great hands so that when my son and I got certified we felt that we were ready. We then did a couple more dives with Dive Ninja and equally enjoyed our time. We would have done more dives with them, if only I had remembered to book those ahead of time (which sadly I did not, and the week between Christmas and New Year is very busy in Cabo). We will definitely use Dive Ninja Expeditions next time we are back in Cabo! PS: We also did a Whale Watching Tour with the same company and really enjoyed seeing so many humpback whales!

Sorry this review is so delayed, but WOW! I did the mobula ray expedition as well as a 2 tank dive in Cabo with Dive Ninja Expeditions. I don't know where to begin as every part of this trip was perfect. Baja California Sur is probably one of my favorite places in the world in that you can be surprised every day by what you see. I wanted to write this review though to say why you need to dive with Dive Ninjas if you go to BCS. I've dove all over the world from the Galapagos, Indonesia, French Polynesia, Africa, etc... The most important thing to me in a dive center is a center that focuses on responsible eco tourism. Being able to experience the underwater world is an honor and a privilege and we should always try to leave it better than when we found it (or at the very least, no worse). Dive Ninjas is the embodiment of this. They were the first PADI Eco center in Mexico and one of the first three in the world. They were also the first Green Fins Member in Mexico. I mention this because expeditions like the mobula rays in BCS are becoming more popular so it is important to see this spectacle respectfully. The owner, Jay Clue, is also an OnlyOne Ambassador so conservation is paramount to their focus. The trip itself was absolutely incredible. From the organization, to the accommodations, the staff, it was all fantastic. The group leader was Donna. She is unbelievable. She explains all the expectations of the trip and how to get in and out of the water to give you the best chance of having memorable interactions with the rays. She also had the challenge of keeping me alive as I'm allergic to dairy and nuts and she went above and beyond. Seriously, always made sure there were snacks on the boat for me, at the house, etc... truly went above and beyond. The chef and food was fantastic. They pair up with a local marine biologist that helps explain behaviors of the rays, challenges the area faces, as well as ongoing projects going on. We had Martha Palacios and she was fantastic. As for the underwater experience, holy cow. Truly mind blowing. We had multiple days where we were swimming with literally thousands of mobula rays for over two hours at a time! There is truly nothing like it. We were also fortunate enough to swim with dolphins, see humpback whales, some in our group saw whale sharks. The list goes on. Again, BCS will not disappoint. This is 100% the company to choose for anything Baja California Sur. Thank you to everybody at Dive Ninjas! You guys are truly amazing. I will definitely be back for the mobula rays, and you'll also see me on your other expeditions as well. Sorry, you're stuck with me. You guys are the best!

I am a 34 yr old female who was headed to Cabo to party, I had no intention of ever entering the water like that when I arrived in cabo. Fab is the greatest instructor in Cabo and turned my “party” vacation into a life changing experience that I traded partying for. I enrolled in the open water certification course solo and felt completely comfortable and safe. I most definitely trusted him and his team of instructors. When I walked by their booth at my hotel at Casa Dorada I instantly I felt safe talking to the Dive Ninjas about my bucket list goal of becoming a certified open water diver just as my Dad was. When I first meet the team I knew there was something special to experience and I knew that this was officially my time to learn to dive. I am honored to have been taught by Fab, and I look forward to diving with their team at Dive Ninjas again. Every time I return to Mexico I always contact them to get on their schedule for the duration of my trips. If I could give more stars I would, Fab and the Dive Ninjas are incredible people who helped open new doors for me as an official certified diver. Highly recommended, don’t go anywhere else.

Such fun dives with Ryan and Alex! Both dives were incredible and seamless from launching off the boat to having the boat pick us up wherever we were. It was truly an incredible scuba experience and there was amazing visibility!

Jay Clue and Dive Ninja Expeditions are amazing. We are just getting back from a trip to cocos islands with dive ninjas hands-down one of the best trips we’ve ever been on. Jay takes the time to make sure everyone has a trip of a lifetime. Add shark, education, pirate presentations, and a lot of fun and it’s a trip I will never forget

Awesome Liveaboard diving experience with Jay in Cocos Island. 10 days and lots of sharks! This is my 4th liveaboard and 1st with DiveNinjas. We had such a good time we booked the next trip before we even got off the boat!
