- annmY1290IR0 contributionsMagical Todas Santos Marcelino Tour Guide FabulousOur guide Marcelino was fabulous! He was very personable, friendly, informative, and made our tour experience awesome!!! Tour was the perfect mix of getting the history of the town, walking around town and having a little time to shop in the markets before stopping at a family weaving shop. Purchased a very nice handmade blanket! Next stop was to visit the camels.. just the right amount of time to learn and little and then a quick pet and kiss before the buffet lunch. Enjoyed the chicken mole snd fresh made tortillas!!! Highly recommend this tour!!!Written 2 August 2023
- 77tinau0 contributionsRefused refund d/t bad weatherHad this tour booked on a day my cruise ship Carnival Panorama was to be docked here. When we arrived that morning, Carnival determined it was not safe for us to tender into the port due to large swells and a hurricane that was coming. So the cruise ship turned around and left without allowing us to get off. Viator refused to give refundWritten 3 July 2023

- Marie L0 contributionsDisappointed with this excursionOur tour operator picked us up on time and instead of heading to La Paz, drove to San Jose and then north. He was quiet until we left the urban area and then informed us lunch would be at 2 pm and we would stop for a bathroom and breakfast break. As we drove through the desert he talked about the birds, plants, and history of the area. Our breakfast stop was a small cafe with a not so clean toilet facilities- no paper and no running water. Hand sanitizer was available. After spending 45 minutes there, we drove north and heard more about the towns and history. We did not stop at the mining towns but did a drive through at one. Although I spotted a road sign that said La Paz 46 kilometers, he drove in the opposite direction and we headed towards a power plant. The next sign for La Paz said 67 kilometers. We went north for another 20 minutes to drive by the ferry and beach. Back to town and 2 stops - a beach with bathrooms and a jewelry shop where we were given a show on harvesting pearls. We had a hour to walk around the waterfront and our driver mysteriously disappeared from the parking spot. Lunch was at a restaurant near a town square, which was more interesting than the tourist shops on the waterfront. Some of our group asked to stop a church to see a gold baby Jesus, which we did. Back in the van and headed to Todos Santos - a delightful town that we only had half an hour to explore. Very disappointing trip - fortunately the fellow passengers were great we really enjoyed their company. The circuitous route and disappearance made me think the driver had a pm appointment in La Paz and planned the trip accordingly. When I booked the trip it specifically stated 2 stops at the mining towns and a guided city tour. Did not expect minimal walking.Written 20 February 2023
- Erika V0 contributionsHighlight of our tripHighlight of our trip! It was a slow day and we got a private visit. The horses were fun and the ATVs were great as well! Worth every penny!Written 26 January 2023
- ckmcandandy0 contributionsFun Tour to La Paz and Todos SantosExcellent way to spend a day seeing 2 towns and countryside. There is a lot of car driving but we took direct route on way to La Paz to have more time exploring and eating (mid-morning) breakfast and late lunch. Knowledgeable guide/driver Francisco Daniel who showed us every kindness and extremely gracious. Nice and new van that was clean and comfortable. There were no kids in our group and expect it would be long and frustrating day for most young ones. Special showing of how pearls are made at Velvet Box on Mallecon (Boardwalk) in La Paz that was arranged by tour. The tour group all received special discounts (ours was 35%) but like anything in Mexico can probably negotiate as good of discount anywhere BUT you may not be assured same quality. Be sure to check messages from tour as pick up time at hotel much earlier than noted on reservation screen.Written 28 December 2022
