- 1Puebla is a Human Heritage City by UNESCO and one with the richest gastronomy. The city was founded for Spaniards to live in in the viceroyal times, so all the species and ingredients coming from Europe and Asia had to pass by the city before arriving to Mexico City. This combination including the local ingredientes contributed to create the best cuisine in Mexico. You will have the opportunity to taste the most trational dishes of Puebla, including street food but also well known restaurants. In this tour you will also learn the city history and legends.

- 329angelesd0 contributionsGreat place to spend at least 1/2 a dayAfricam really impressed we all, we had a wonderful morning here. I was pleased to see clean and healthy animals in it’s natural habitat.Written 1 April 2024
- Harrietmae990 contributionsA wonderful guide who broadened our understanding. We had an English speaking guide named Alberto He knew everything about Mexican history, He was a history graduate. We were interested in the Mexican Revolution He filled us in on lots of the history And that was before touring the churches and the pyramid! It was a perfect tour Much, much informationWritten 30 March 2024
- 711finnp0 contributionsA nice tripA nice trip only one hour and it did take you to the museum area and with a nice view of the city .Buy the tickets at the main square for 120 pesos about $8 Cdn and don’t pay the $20 Cdn Viator charges..Written 11 March 2024
- chrisgutteridge20 contributionsBest welcome - and cheesecake - in EastbourneThis little cafe is absolutely fantastic. The lady who runs it is the kindest and most welcoming person you could wish to meet. My top recommendation is the beautiful creamy home made cheesecake. Everything is served on fine vintage china, to make it extra special. Highly recommended ChrisWritten 25 May 2023
- BillE1240 contributionsGreat fun!Plenty of healthy animals to view in a natural setting. A family could spend a day here easily; there are at least two visitor centers with stores, restaurants, and activities in addition to the ride through.Written 15 May 2023
- LAR0010 contributionsGood tour!Very accommodating to English speakers, helpful, good city tour of one hour. Some of the headset jacks did not work but overall it was a good tour of the city.Written 9 April 2023
- C6911HHvanessap0 contributions5/5Don’t go on Tuesdays because the Basilica is closed on Tuesdays. Also, if you look up the story of this Virgin Mary, there is a story related to her that talks about holy water that she gave to heal and that is not at the basilica, it’s maybe a 5-10 minute drive to get there from the church and as long as you bring your own bottle you can take as much water as you want. My mother went with me, she really wanted the water and was super pleased to go there. Our driver, David, was really great and our guide Lionel was superb, super knowledgeable about everything.Written 24 March 2023

- murrayhill5290 contributionsHighly recommend!Absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend! Solo female traveler and I don't speak much Spanish, signed up for Spanish only tram as I'm trying to learn more, just make sure you know how to understand how many minutes you have at each stop before the tram leaves! The tram itself is adorable and I really enjoyed riding on it seeing all the sites on the way there. The service staff is so kind, and I really enjoyed the cute tram to Cholula and all the sites! On the way back the stop they give you 2.5-3hrs to explore town, I took one of the other busses that I saw after I had lunch and explored for almost the full 3 hours, and they said it's the same ticket I can go on no problem. The town is very cute and lots of history to absorb there. Note the pick up point on the ticket going there shows on google maps like it's inside the little shops but it's outside on the main road a few doors down, if not sure just ask where the tourist information booth is you'll be directed over by anyone super lovely people in Puebla cannot wait to come back :)Written 9 November 2022

- JerBear10 contributionsPuebla to Cholula Bus TourIf you are fluent in Spanish, the bus tour cost is very reasonable and there is much information given during the bus ride to and from Cholula and at the locations. However, we requested an English guide and the cost more than tripled. This was still fine, as we did learn a great deal from our knowledgeable guide. The guide who was booked for us forgot about the tour and the Tip team quickly found us a replacement guide. We appreciate his willingness to join us in Cholula at the last minute. Because of this, we missed all the commentary given during the bus rides. Once we joined Jose Louis in Cholula, he gave us great attention at all the stops. He is very knowledgeable and he is also a friendly and pleasant person. Because the lineup to go inside the pyramid was so long, we chose to spend the time viewing the pyramid ruins and also to first tour the small museum, near the entrance to the tunnel, which explains a great deal about the pyramid and tunnels. We also lucked into some indigenous dancers and music makers, dressed in their feathered, finery. It was wonderful! We missed walking to the top of the pyramid to see the views and the lovely church on the top. We simply did not have enough time. We did see the flyers in the Cholula square and that truly is a sight to see! We decided to return to Cholula on our own early one morning to climb the pyramid and tour the tunnel and we're very glad that we did!Written 28 December 2019
- Bonnie L0 contributionsCholula is drop-dead beautiful.Enjoyed very much my afternoon in Cholula, and definitely could have stayed longer. Especially enjoyed visiting the church where indigenous cultures are mingled with the arts of Christianity. The ruins are fascinating, and the setting can't be beat.Written 19 November 2019
- Alexandra L0 contributionsCholula Tour -- not worth itWe didn't like it. The double-decker bus is old and the top seats are awful uncomfortable. The tour itself... well: if you like catholic churches, you'll have a blast. But the journey and the village itself present very little interest or attractive. We could not see the volcanos because of the cloudy sky -- you might want to check the weather, I'm guessing the scenery, when visible, must be some compensation. Finally, regarding the staff: the driver and guide were nice and friendly, but I found our hostess at the customer attention in the main desk (tourist information bureau in Puebla) --her name was Paola-- pretty inconsiderate and even slightly rude: I am 5 months pregnant and she wanted us to stand and queue in front of their office for half an hour, stating that if we left we would lose our spot in their idiotic first-come-first-served system for assigning the bus seats. She just did not care and was actually pretty annoyed by the fact that I was asking for some consideration. Rude. There are a lot of other tour operators doing exactly the same tours -- no need to leave your money where it's not appreciated.Written 2 November 2019

This is a fun, well-paced culinary tour of Puebla. We walked, we snacked, we walked some more. Our guide, Ronnie, was as well-versed in the food side of the city as historical. He had a lot of great ideas for where to eat, which museums to visit and more. Highly recommended.
Note that to find the tour, the instructions are really confusing—ignore the bit about the bronze miniature map of the city. Just go to the Puebla tourism office. When you enter the door, the city's public tourist office is to the left. Look to your right and you'll see some small booths with private tour operators. Tip Tours is in the far right corner.

Perfect.
I have done many food tours. The length of time for this one was perfect. About 2.5 - 3 hours. Some get way too long.
The food choices were delicious and reflected the culture of Puebla. Ronnie was a great host.

Alejandra gave us a very nice gastronomic tour of the historic district. We were able to taste a wide variety of local foods and got tips on some of the better, lesser known places that we’ve already tried and are very happy with.

What time does this begin and end? Also I am in a hostel close to Centro. Is that considered a pickup spot?
