This tour was very informative, they were on time with everything and our tour guide Lisa was the best!! She always made sure we were hydrated; they had an option of cold water and cold beer. You spend an ample amount of time at different beaches and they also give you snorkeling gear that you can borrow. We got to swim with turtles and it was a beautiful experience.Written 26 August 2024

This trip was nice because of the driver! She was so sweet and kind! The trip started with a pick up of all the passengers which took about 2 hours. We stopped to see the flamingos but there were only 2 literally there. The cave area is a bit of a hike and very hot and you are there for about 20 - 30 mins. Then we went to the beach and the chairs are about 5 usd to rent the food at the restaurant is very basic and expensive and you are only there for about 2 hours and it’s very crowded. The Turtle portion is about 35-45 mins long and there were only about 4 turtles with a lot of fish to see and even an eel. If you don’t tip the guy he will yell at you. On average is about 2.5 of 5 stars. A lot of bus riding and the bus is packed full!!!!

Dear guest, thank you for your message and review on this trip. Lisa is an amazing driver and guide indeed. ( I will let her know that you mentioned her in your review) Furthermore, the animals that you encountered are wild animals, meaning that they are free to stay in their habitat or explore other parts of the island. Regrettably, you were not able to fully experience the beauty of the flamingos and turtles. I will also share with the owner of the beach your comments and discuss your comment internally.

Excellent excursions with Irie Tours. We went on 3 total excursions. 1. Hato Caves, Turtle and Beaches. Our guide Bob was amazing so friendly and informative, really enjoyed learning about history of the island. He recommended the Klein Curacao tour which we ended up booking because of how much we enjoyed our tour. Caves were great, turtle beach was very crowded but a great experience and we loved the final beach destination.
2. Sunset sail - great crew and beautiful sunset. Enjoyed seeing Spanish bay and another part of the island. Relaxing and peaceful.
3. Klein Curacao - our last trip with Irie, it was long but a beautiful day. The boat ride to the island was very wet and choppy. Another great crew that kept us entertained and our drinks full. If you go on this tour definitely prioritize hydrating, sunscreen and being in the shade. Otmar and Wenchie were took great care of us. Plenty to do on and off the boat - snorkeling and were able to see lots of sting rays and octopus
A lot of our vacation time was spent with Irie tours and I would recommend them again and again. They made our mother/daughters trip very special.

Wonderful tour - Emme and Hans were great guides, Emme was very knowledgeable and informative about the Island and answered all our questions. We saw lots of turtles which was amazing. The next beach stop was beautiful the water was so clear like swimming in a pool, also great snorkeling there. The caves were interesting but would actually have preferred an extra hour at the beach. The beach was very secluded which was nice but be aware there is only 1 restaurant/bar and it gets very busy. If you can bring your own food I recommend it to save time - only 2 hours at beach and don't want to waste it waiting for food. Overall a great excursion - we loved Curaco such a lovely quaint Island.

Bob from Irie tours was amazing. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the country and all the amazing history. He made sure everyone was on time and safe while ensuring that we maximize our time at each location. Highly recommend getting Bob to be your guide, you won’t be disappointed. If this is your first time to Curacao, you need to do this tour

It is difficult to separate the review of the tour guide and company from the sites, so I’ll start with the tour guide, Kurt. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about the history of Curaçao, especially the slave history, and generally communicated well regarding expectations at each site and when to meet back at the bus (open air). This tour involves a lot of driving, as the sites are far from each other.
As far as the sites, the Hato Caves were very neat, however the company that owns the site does not allow pictures in the best rooms of the caves, so unless you break the rules, you will only get pictures in some of the lesser scenic rooms. Still neat, but a little frustrating.
The turtle site is not what you’d expect. It feels a little sleazy, with fishermen butchering fish near the pier and one guy cutting up pieces in the pier which he throws into the water to attract the sea turtles. He strongly compels tips for this “service”, which dampens the experience. If you ignore that and just get into the water and snorkel, you will see the turtles and they are neat to see up close. Used to humans, due to the feeding, so not the most natural setting.
The beach was nice, though busy. I would have preferred paying the tour for a picnic lunch, rather than waiting 45 min for lunch at the bar/restaurant. Either way, the beach was soft and water was warm for Jan.
The last stop was brief at the Flamingos, nice to see in the wild, not a large flock (10-12).
Overall, it’s a full day driving around and seeing some interesting sites, which many may enjoy. We enjoyed it for what it was, but will likely try something different next time we visit Curaçao.

This was, BY FAR, the highlight of our week in Curacao. Captain Emmanuelle, Robin and the rest of the gang were exceptional. The snorkelling bays were great. The under water cave was great. And swimming with the sea turtles was absolutely spectacular.
Our lunch was delicious. Better than most of our meals back at the resort.
The party atmosphere on the catamaran was fun. I ended up throwing a football to 6 young men who would jump off a platform off the boat and try to catch the ball mid air. The crowd enjoyed that. Robin showed off her diving skills in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Our travelling group consisted of 4 couples. And everyone of us agreed, this was the highlight. A MUST DO if you are in Curacao.
Our lunch was delicious. Better than most of our meals back at the resort.

we were a family group of 8. from 15 to 82 years old.
all had different preferred experiences.
the tour guide Miguel was excellent.
very upbeat and very knowledgeable.
the only thing we would change if we had a re-do is we would pack a lunch or lots of snacks and avoid spending lots valuable time and $$ at the beach restaurant. the beach was too nice to waste time in the restaurant for an 'ok' meal.

An excellent tour! Our guide was Miguel, and he was chock full of information about Curacao and it's history. He definitely knew his stuff. He spoke English and Dutch, and flowed easily between the two languages. He also taught us a few words in Papamiento. The Hato Caves were a cool experience. Be prepared to walk up the 49 steps to the mouth of the cave. The tour guide there spoke English, Spanish and Dutch and was a fun guy. Next was the beach where you could snorkel with the sea turtles. There weren't many of them there that day but the beach was pretty and it was amazing to see the huge fish the fishermen brought in to shore. Then we went to a second beach, Playa Porto Marie where again the beach was beautiful and there was a delicious restaurant there to have a meal and drinks. We also stopped at the salt pond to see the flamingos along the way. Awesome tour, I highly recommend it!

We had a fun day with our driver and tour guide Miguel. During the ride, he shared many interesting facts about Curaçao and we felt like we got to see a lot of the island. We were very close in rating this tour a 5 star but we think some of the organizational stuff of the tour could have been better. For example, when we were at the first stop of the tour, everyone was asked what they wanted to eat and we thought this was just taking very long while we were sitting in the heat. We think people could have been asked in advance what they wanted to eat to save time. Lastly, we think having one extra thing to see during this tour would have been nice as well. However, it was a nice tour overall and we would definitely recommend doing it with Miguel!

Very nice tour. Very nice guide. We just suggest to include a lunch box (as a option if easier) since the tour last a whole day et the only restaurant we cross was full and would have taken one hour and a half out of our beach time.

I don't believe there is. There are lots of stairs going up into the cave, some steps are a little higher than normal. There is 2-way people traffic in the cave but easy enough to get around.
Lots of steps going down to the beach to see the turtles. Water was a little rough when I was there. Big rocks going into the beach made it a little difficult. There is a boat ramp to the right of the dock and you can walk into the water. Wish I knew this.
There's no steps at the last beach you go to. It's a beautiful place. Could have spent all day there.
The tour bus is similar to a school bus in the US.

Our pick up time was around 8:50 a.m. Pick up times can vary by 10-15 minutes but they will confirm the time when you make your reservation. The tour lasts 7 hours so our drop off time was about 4:00 p.m.
