#horsebackbanff. We enjoyed our ride on Oct 5 and would recommend it to anyone who has this on their bucket list, especially in the fall when the leaves are turning golden color. I have never been on a horse, so this is perfect for beginners. The staff at Warner Stables was friendly, professional and followed all Covid rules. The instructions the staff gave us prior to starting our ride made me feel comfortable and confident. Our horses were well trained, obedient and friendly. Our leader was Lindsay, She was very upbeat, experienced and informative. The trail ran through a forest along side the Cave and Basin and the Bow river. Lindsay would at times point out something of interest along the way, such as the bear claws on trees.

Horse ride was fun but very slow & through a trail with not much to see.

We never stopped to take photos and they did not offer to take out photos either. You are expected to take photos as you are riding the horse. If you are with someone else, make sure to take photos of them before you leave as it can be hard to take photos when riding in a single line.

Felt like the staff was rushing us off at the end.

Thanks for the review, sorry you felt rushed. For safety it is impossible to stop on the trail and take photos for guests.

Riding astride a beautiful roan who responded with immediacy to my gentle moves, we moved along a well traveled trail along the Bow, amidst trees, green & lush with foliage. Care was stressed for our safety by knowledgeable guides. It touched my heart to hear our rides were all rescue horses. I hope I left a kind imprint upon Boundary for he certainly made my day & trip to Banff worthwhile. 😊 I was informed guides wern't taking pictures due to covid, however a friendly Corider stepped up & helped to create an account of the memory. If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend. Thank you very much Banff Trail Riders.

This place is a scam. They do not inform you that you must arrive 30 minutes prior and if you are 1-5 mins late due to phone time or loss of service or simply a wrong turn, they will not allow you to ride or accommodate rescheduling. They will charge you the full amount. Their prices are expensive to begin with. If you want to reschedule you have to pay all over again for being 2 minutes late. This is ridiculous. The costumer service is outrageous. They are incredibly rude and act as if they hate their job. I also found them to be a tad racist. Do not go here!! If you plan to book call them over the phone and make sure to ask them ALL the information as they will hide it from you so they get free money and less work to do. Disgusting.

Im sorry but from our side we tell every customer multiple times when to turn up for their ride. It is just not possible to load people who are late as it disrupts everyone else who turns up on time for the rest of the day. We can accommodate people if we have space. If we do not have space we can not reschedule. I also am offended that you can make the judgement that our staff hate their jobs. We have lots of long term staff who would leave if they truly hate their jobs. Also to call them racist is just slanderous. Please read all of our review, for the customers who turn up on time they have an amazing experience.

Really enjoyed this one hour trail ride. It was wonderful to ride through the fresh snow and to see the mountains and other scenery. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was easy to book. They are strict about your arrival time 30 minutes prior to the start of the ride, as it takes awhile to get everyone geared and mounted, so make sure you heed the warnings. Overall would highly recommend for a memorable experience in the Rockies.

so we are supposed to ride with them on saturday, sep 5 2020. the appointments at 10, and they tell ppl to come 30 mins prior, but since we stayed in calgary its kinda far of a drive. i called them an hour before telling we will be 10 minutes late, since it was kinda traffic on the hi way that weekend. so we arrived at 9:40 there and they didnt let us in, nor issued a refund. dont ride with them!!!

So this is kinda how we see the story as outlined in your booking...... Guest called at 9:00am to advise that they might be arriving between 9:40am and 9:50am. They have indicated the traffic has delayed them. I advised that they do need to be on time for safety briefing and if the horses have been loaded and/or briefing missed they will miss the ride. They are aware no refund if this is the case. I advised we may be able to reschedule them for 50% off is they miss their ride - Guests arrived to the barn at 9:55 am. unfortunately could not get them on the ride. offered to re book them at 50% for another day but didn't want to. Please just turn up on time and be respectful of the other riders who all turn up on time. You will have a great ride.

The favourite part of my ride was the horse and the scenery. Over the last 10 years I have gone horseback riding in a few places. Mexico and Aruba. These are dry, desert places. Although I had a good time. You can not beat the scenery of the Canadian Rockies. My trip took place in late September of 2020. The air was cool, the sky clear and the trees were changing colour. I have a concern about heights, and I am not experienced in riding a horse. But the horse I had was very patient with me. He knew were he was going, I was just along for the ride. If you have a love for horses, like I do. I recommend. My sister and I also did a carriage ride. That was also fun. I spent some money in their store too. All their staff are friendly and helpful.

This was the first experience some of my kids have had riding a horse and they loved it! The scenery is breath taking. The guides were professional and safety conscious. Hand sanitizer was provided before our ride and the guides wore masks even though we were outside.

Our trail ride was a great time. My wife had never been on a horse and I hadn’t been in years. Staff were patient and informative, we were both very comfortable from the beginning to the end....of course as comfortable as a first time rider can be 😊 The one hour ride was just right, we weren’t too sore but had lots of views and enjoyed the horses.
