What to Expect
The winter sun rise in Banff National Park is the perfect time to see wildlife and set out on a wildlife tour. Head out on an adventure to spot elk, deer, and bighorn sheep. Along the way, stop at Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel called the “castle in the Rockies,” hoodoos, and Bow Valley lookout. Learn about the history and geology of the area, as well as the special adaptations the mountain animals have made to survive life in the tough Canadian winters.
