200% would recommend for family and friends
Mar 2021
200% would recommend snowshoeing with Anick, she was our guide to the Marble Canyon, she is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and funny. We stayed downtown Banff, and Anick picked us up from our hotel, so no need to worry about transportation. Anick is always looking out for her members, making sure everyone is doing okay. Not to forget the delicious hot chocolate and maple taffy, it was a delight. The company made sure social distancing were practiced, we had a small group of five and everyone was well-apart even in the van/bus. My family enjoyed every second of it. Snowshoeing is great for all-ages!

We had a great time from the time we were picked up, Hugh was our guide and had lots of information to share verbally and phyically, very educational. The scenery was beautiful and the hike was not hard. A little up hill but nothing major. The maple taffy was super tasty along with the hot chocolate. The scenery is amazing and I would love to go back in the summer and see it then.

Unforgettable!
Feb 2020
My partner and I had tried snowshoeing before in Lake Minnewanka, however, this tour really showed us what it's like to snowshoe in deep snow - and it was great! I didn't think I would enjoy this tour as much but I was wrong. Hugh - our tour guide - was extremely knowledgable, friendly and made us maple taffy to end our tour! Thanks, Hugh, you've made our trip unforgettable!

Snowshoeing with Hugh through Marble Canyon
Feb 2020 • Friends
I loved how each the tour came with a couple snacks. My favorite was the maple syrup taffy! I think the snowshoeing was my favorite activity because of how beautiful the trail was and we really lucked out with the weather. It was snowing and sunny! There was no one else on the trail. I personally liked the all-inclusive aspect of these tours because we did not rent a car. Banff is super easy to get around town, so I felt like these tours got us out into nature where we could not have easily gotten without renting a car. I always felt very safe. Hugh was knowledgeable, kind, and passionate. You could tell he loves his job. I was very impressed. If you are like me and like to learn about the area you are in from a tour guide, I highly recommend Discover Banff tours.

Fantastic tour
We went on the marble canyon snowshoeing your with discover Banff tours this morning. I can definitely recommend it! We were lucky that the weather was good and got some amazing photos. Our guide, Jeff made it really interesting with lots of information about the area and one or two stories. We really enjoyed stopping for hot chocolate and cookies and Jeff made some maple syrup candy by boiling the syrup and pouring it into the snow, which was fun. He even stopped off on the way back to town to take photos by the river, which was really kind of him.

Overall I’d recommend this tour to anyone travelling to Banff

A great day and a must do when in Banff
Dec 2019 • Family
We seriously under estimated how amazing snow shoeing would be and we had the best time with our wonderful guide Neil. He was SO knowledgeable and made sure everyone in our group had a great time. A few days ahead of our tour we weren’t so sure about our footwear so they bought extra in our size for us to try.

For first time visitors to Banff and first time snow shoe-rs, this blew us away. Highly highly recommend and if you can, request Neil! Best guide we’ve had on our whole trip

Norm was our guide and give us a memorable tour. His passion for his work and care of the environment and wildlife was amazing.
It was our first experience of snowshoeing and we really enjoyed it. was an interesting and at times funny tour with Norm pointing out all sorts of animal tracks left in the snow
Maple taffey made in the snow was lovely.
A super trip and great value for money.
Norm - you are an asset to your company.

Hi David, Thank you for sharing your experience (and the photo of Norm making maple taffy) from your snowshoeing tour to Marble Canyon. Isn't snowshoeing a special experience? It's hard to describe the snowy beauty of the area, and the feeling of hiking through the snow covered trees. We're so glad you enjoyed your first snowshoeing experience, and we'll be sure to pass on your kind words to Norm (we think he's great too!). We hope to see you back again.

Awesome!

We were originally supposed to go to the Paint Pots but there wasn't enough snow that day so our group ended up going to Marble Canyon instead and we were so glad we did. Nick was a great tour guide and even helped me out with my snowshoes when I had trouble tying them! The views in Marble Canyon are amazing and it even started snowing while we were there which was great. During our break for hot chocolate and cookies Nick made some maple taffy in the snow which was delicious :) We took a different way out to the way we went in so we got to snowshoe on fresh snow that hadn't been walked on yet which was a lot of fun and as an added bonus Nick stopped at the Continental Divide on the way back which was great!

Hi there, Thank you for joining us on the snowshoeing tour to Marble Canyon with Nick, and how lucky to be out snowshoeing while it was out snowing! We love the colours of Marble Canyon in every season, although it's truly spectacular in winter with the frozen blue ice against the white snow. We're so glad you enjoyed the tour (and thank you for being understanding with the change due to snow condition) and we hope to see you back again in Banff.
