- triciau20240 contributionsGrateful for my time in JasperI had a wonderful day with Jamie as my guide. I learned so much about the area, got the chance to see some wildlife and amazing views, and enjoyed the pace of the trip. Specifically, I enjoyed getting off the bus for a short hike at the canyon and the boat ride on Maligne Lake among other stops. Thank you for a great day! My thoughts are still with everyone in Jasper as I am deeply saddened to hear about the devastation with the wildfires. The park is truly a gem.Written 26 July 2024
- SapphireRoseG0 contributionsExtreme Discomfort on Sweltering VanDo not recommend this tour as the company cares nothing about your comfort as they claim on their advertisement. They operated on an extremely hot day that was close to 100 degrees F with a broken air conditioner. When returning to the van after hikes, etc., the van was scorching hot and everyone needed to wait for it to "cool" somewhat. This was totally unacceptable. Unless they start to maintain their equipment as they should, recommend to stay far away! Tour guide was very knowledgeable but spoke the entire time which became annoying after a number of hours and added additional stress to an already highly uncomfortable situation.Written 26 July 2024

- 121abhishekm0 contributionsExcellent service and memorable tripThis tour was very interesting, especially for a family. Our tour guide, Kelly, told us meaningful information, like the stories of the land. We learned lots about bears from her and how to defend ourselves if we are near one which was very fun to hear about. Kelly was also very accommodating by offering us cold water bottles. She showed us different types of antlers as well. During the bus rides, we were allowed to quickly stop and take photos of wildlife. The trip was memorable ( written by Teenager)Written 20 July 2024

Had a great time on this tour. The guide shared a lot of information about the park and its wildlife with us, which was very interesting. We did not see many animals since we had to get to the lake so people could go on the cruise in time. I was the only one on the bus to do the hike, so the guide let me choose which trail to take based on my preferences. I told him I wanted to see wildlife so we took the Moose Lake loop trail. He answered all my questions about wildlife (which were A LOT) and told me where I could see moose since he had seen them there before. That day we didn’t see any, but I came back the following day to that exact spot and only had to wait 5’ for a moose and her calf to come into the water! I would definitely recommend this tour.

A great adventure for the day; plenty of stops and plenty of opportunities for sightseeing. It's worth noting that Maligne lake can often be frozen over in the winter months, so the trip can change based on the weather. We got to experience Maligne Canyon with our guide, Jamie, and he was informative of the area.

This tour was a highlight of our week in the Jasper/Banff area. Our guide, Brett, was superb - gave us so much information during the drive, ensured we got the best viewpoints, and spotted several animals along the way. We saw moose, elk, marmots, bald eagles, mountain sheep, black bear. He would pull over so we could get photos, but as a long time resident of the area and outdoor expert, safety around animals was always his priority.
Maligne Lake has to be one of the most beautiful spots on earth. The sun was out, the water blue, and the mountains majestic. The boat trip was spectacular. It was sold out via the boat company, so this trip is a good way to get on the water even when it looks "sold out".
Highly recommend this trip, and if you get Brett as your guide you will be very lucky!

My husband and I had a great time during this tour. Our guide, Jimmy is very knowledgable and passionate about animals. He packed the tour with fun facts about different wildlife animals commonly seen in Jasper. Not only did he go extra miles to ensure that we got to encounter as many wildlife as possible during the tour, he also taught us how to detect treks of bears and Moose so we may find them ourselves.
The hike was relatively easy and suitable for all. Scenic views are plenty throughout the ride and the walk as we covered Maligne Canyon, Medicine Lake, Malign Lake, and Moose Lake.
Jimmy is very patient and accommodating. He set the pace so everyone got to enjoy the tour comfortably.
Overall, a great experience and highly recommended!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your Maligne Valley Sightseeing tour with Maligne Adventures! We are glad that you enjoyed the experience. Maligne valley has a lot pretty outstanding views to be seen and a lot of history! The guides really enjoy that area because there is so much going on and lots to talk about! Learning how to track animals is pretty cool to when you are seeing all the different foot prints!

Went on the wildlife tour and boat cruise today. Right from the start it was a pleasant experience. They picked us up right from my hotel in a comfortable bus. Several safety measures were taking due to covid , to make your adventure safe all the way through the tour. I can’t say enough about our main tour guide Kelly , she was great. Kelly was very well informed of the ecology of the area and has an extensive knowledge of the park and wildlife. I was truly learning something and entertained every moment of the tour. There was sufficient stops and breaks along the way. The sights were breathtaking and I was lucky to see some amazing wildlife. The bear and wapati deer and fawns nursing was quite a site. The guide and captain on the boat were also well informed and great as well. I was on the new boat in the fleet, it was amazing and a smooth comfortable voyage. (If you are sensitive to sea sickness , not to worry). If you are looking for a fun informative adventure. I rate this tour 5 stars. Thanks for the wonderful experience. I’ll be back next time I’m in Jasper.

This was a great day. The tour guide was Ross. Ross explained things as we went along. He is very informative. I choose to do the hike at Moose lake which was very good. Maligne Adventures offers hotel pick up and a central meeting point. Due to COVID masks must be worn on the bus. First we went to Maligne Canyon and then drove to Maligne lake. At the lake some people did the boat tour and I did the hike. My suggestion is to bring a lunch. This was an informative and fun day.

I was a little disappointed in this tour. It’s is listed as wildlife and waterfalls. I understand that wildlife is hard to predict and we did see some but waterfalls, we saw exactly 1.
Our tour guide was very friendly but was new to the job and was unable to answer some basic questions.
We took the hike, the Mary Schaefer Loop, at Maligne Lake and it was rather boring. A few scenic viewpoints but try little else to see and the guide did not point out or explain anything about the vegetation etc.

We had a lot of fun on this trip with our guide Jake. The trip covered almost all places in the Jasper National Park at a nice pace. Jake was extremely knowledgeable and humorous too! It was our lucky day- we saw 3 black bears, 1 moose (up and close), bald eagles, osprey and a few deers and elks. The encounter with moose was the most interesting. We were just 4 of us with Jake on the Maligne lake hike (most of the other folks had taken the Maligne lake cruise option). When we had walked just about 1/4 f a mile, we encountered this female moose, who got startled by a pair of rabbits and decided to charge in our direction! Jake took swift action and guided us to safety via some trees to keep a distance of 100 feet from the moose. We were able to continue the hike after giving a wide berth for the moose. Overall, it was an awesome experience!

This was a fantastic trip where we got so much packed into one trip - waterfalls, lakes, wildlife and a boat trip on Maligne Lake. Our guide was quite knowledgeable and mature. We had younger and less experienced guides on other tours (including the boat ride) who were fine, but this guide was a step above. He showed us everything, was attentive to our needs, worked really hard to find us wildlife (we saw a bear, a moose, eagles, marmot, and a dear) and provided an incredible wealth of information. We could not have been happier or more appreciative.
